I like that the shop isn't extremely cluttered with plants. Just enough that it feels open and bright. You know with nature, you just breathe better. (; Anyways, the interior murals are such a warm and lively color - it just makes me happy seeing it. I love the artwork on the walls because it matches their specialty lattes. The outdoor seating space is also quite nice. The colors of the tables are pastel pink and pastel yellow-- you can sit in semi shade or shaded area. It's really lovely! To drink, I decided to get one of their specialty lattes-- $7, Iced 12 oz, PEAK SEASON with whole milk. This is an iced blueberry latte with coconut condensed milk. It was so delicious! I would highly recommend this. It wasn't overly sweet either-- which I can appreciate. I highly recommend coming to Ultreya Coffee & Tea! The drinks are superb and fairly priced. Great coffee, great service, and cool vibes. The coffee here is really good. The cortado was really well balanced with the macadamia nut milk. It was my first time having one with macadamia nut milk. I usually do almond milk. Their specialty drinks aren't too sweet either. They are more coffee forward in my opinion. I haven't tried any of their pastries, but they look good. read more

Response: Not necessary. I appreciate the attempt to course-correct after the fact, but the experience had already left a sour taste. What stands out now is that no effort was made to create any personal connection--our name wasn't called when the order was ready, and I do not recall any greeting being offered. The grilled hash n cheese sandwich was 5/5 and one of my favorite breakfast sandwich. The crunch of the hash browns combined with avocados made this delicious and I'm definitely returning back for this sandwich. The Mac Nut Latte lacked the macadamia flavor and the coffee was a little burnt. I'll definitely return and give another latte a try. Service was great and the ambiance had a cool hippie vibe. Stopped in for the first time, the other day, and was so very impressed. Everything was so freaking good! The coffee? Amazing. The bagel? Godly. I think they're called the Peak and the Laguna, respectively. The shop is so cute, lots of great natural lighting and lots of space, so you can come in and grab a bite with the girlie pops and even grab some cute merch. Nice local coffee shop. I got the standard drip and they let me add macadamia nut milk as a creamer for no charge. I also got a day old matcha concha for a reduced price at $3 and it was still very tasty and I could taste the matcha! They get their pastries from hija del maiz, a local baker. Parking is no problem since it is in a quiet strip mall. They have a good amount of indoor seating and a couple tables outside. read more

Forgot about this local coffee shop but revisited after years for an event! Not much has changed but the space itself has lots of goodies from local small businesses and cute trendy merch. The line was really long, but not busy enough to go back to where my workstation was for the event that was taking place here. I decided to stay and wait for my drink which did actually take up most of my time for the event, which I am sad about, but not anyone's fault. The matcha latte I tried was their Marigold Matcha Latte. The mac nut milk is a preferred choice for me as I feel it makes the latte the creamiest and the lime slice makes the drink refreshing. The marigold syrup was not too sweet either which I liked. I do like that they offer some entree food items and offer more than pastries. After coming back in such a long time, I do feel as if their quality has gotten better than before and they have refreshed the menu to keep me interested! read more

Finally found a coffee spot that opens up early and serves a good Matcha. I'm happy this is close by and it's a hidden gem because I never even knew this place existed. There is ample parking. There is seating outside and inside. The interior is so cute. I love all of the different colors. So many different seating options whether you're in a small group or a bigger group. They also sell a lot of different and unique merchandise. All of the drink options were great with seasonal flavors of course. I actually do not drink coffee so I was pleasantly surprised to see some drinks that you can order with or without espresso. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Before I get into the nitty gritty of my experience at Ultreya, I'd like to preface by saying that I am an avid cafe-hopper and am ALWAYS on the lookout for "the perfect" spot. Spoiler alert: I FOUND IT. Where do I even begin... From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. You know when you enter a space and you just... feel the good vibes, the sweet ambience, and the cozy warmth? That's exactly what I felt when I entered into this CUTE coffee/tea shop. I was delighted to see an abundance of seating with outlets (for those of us who take our work with us), a variety of beautiful plants to bring forth vibrancy, and a cute lil' section with merch & local made trinkets. Not to mention, the staff was warmly welcoming, kind, and gave me the sense that they enjoyed being and working there. I ordered an iced mac-nut vanilla latte which was tasty and hit the spot. I would've ordered some pastries, but yo' girl is on a calorific deficit at the moment and being mindful about how many delectably delicious and tempting pastries she takes in ;) I set up shop at a window-side table, plugged my laptop in, and cranked out work for a couple hours. I've gotta add.. the bathroom was a special treat. It brought a big ol' smile to my face to see something I wasn't expecting; kind of like greeting an old friend in a metaphorical sense. When you see it and you feel the joy... you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. All of that to say... YES. Go here. Whether you're by yourself, with a friend, or with a study group. Ultreya is a cute little shop nestled in a center off of College ave. It has some tables for studying indoors and some tables outdoors as well. I ordered the Mac Nut Latte which was pretty good! I would've added a bit of sweetener next time. I also want to say thank you to the kind baristas and staff that remade my drink after i spilled it ALL OVER while attempting to insert my straw. This place was the perfect mid-workday pick-me-up for our caffeine fix. The barista was quick and friendly, taking the time to share what's popular among Ultreya Coffee & Tea regulars. While the shop is not in the most aesthetically pleasing location, the inside felt like we were transported into a totally different realm. The ambiance was very relaxing, with live plants decorating the space and giving it a warm, down to earth feel. Even the merch was cute.    We ordered a Vegan Iced Vietnamese Coffee and a Hot Latte with half & half and a little bit of sugar. Both drinks were delicious and made to perfection. Ultreya is a unique and local cafe. I like how they have specialty drinks that have health ingredients such as maca, turmeric, cacao, mushrooms. There are many vegan options as well. Every item I've tried so far has been a treat. I like their sandwiches like the Handheld Sammy (vegan) and the One For The Road (not vegan). The sauces they use are delicious. Their pastries are nice and flakey. The place is kind of small, but there are still a good amount of tables inside and outside. It is a decent study spot, but the chairs can be a bit uncomfortable if you are there for long. Service is quick and the quality is reliable. If you are eating there, you can return the plates back on the counter you picked them up from. read more

My friend and I stopped in here for a quick coffee. The vibes of the place are great, there are plants everywhere and the staff is very friendly. Lots of indoor seating and air conditioning as well. There is also a parking lot! My friend got the vegan Vietnamese coffee and they were able to do decaf espresso. It was the perfect "not too sweet" drink. I got the seasonal blueberry yuzu mint matcha with oat milk, it can also be made with coffee. It was great! Very on the sweet side but a perfect balance of flavors. Finally tried the seasonal leftover sandwich and it was really delish! Fully Vegan ;) Can't wait to check out their ob location soon, but nothing beats my love for the OG spot in college area. My favorite drinks are (in no particular order): - matcha with honey and oat (hot or iced) - dirty chai with oat or Mac nut milk (I like it best hot) - lavender latte (hot or iced) The chai babka is always good and they typically have a full pastry selection the earlier you go in! The rosemary sea salt bagel is a must try as well, and they offer all kinds of sandwiches/toasts/ açaí bowls Definitely a great spot to grab some coffee and read at! Very cute coffee shop in university area, the vibe is very cute and there are a lot of places to work and study. I had a decaf cappuccino and my husband had a Vietnamese coffee.
