Excellent selection of donuts! My vist waa late morning around 11am on a weekday. Pleasantly surprised to see a large selection of donuts. We love Apple Fritters and they actually carry two sizes, standard (large) and a small. Great option! I bought 4 donuts, two types, for two of us. Donuts were very fresh! Very nice and helpful staff. Very lovely yum yum next to the Jack in the box. They had Canela coffee choice (SUPER YUM). I love when a donut shop has vanilla flavored creamer. But also half and half is there too. Super clean and they had nice table area set to the side so your not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the line. The girl at counter was nice and friendly. Very disappointed. Come here often to purchase donuts and donut holes. Stopped by this evening (1/2/2026) to purchase a dozen donuts, as I was choosing my donuts I noticed cockroaches crawling around on the donuts. Classic, fresh donuts! There is always so much donut variety that I have a hard time selecting. On numerous visits, I see them wheeling over freshly made donuts. To remember our moms in May, we dedicated our extended family dinner to serving foods that reminded us of Mom. One request was powdered sugar and cinnamon & sugar donut holes. All local donut shops have holes, but only glazed. I asked at the one on Ximeno near Wilson High; I asked at Lina's on the Diagonal. No one would make me powdered sugar or cinnamon & sugar or even sell me plain ones . . . EXCEPT Jose at Yum Yum Donuts. He prepared and gave me a sample right as I was explaining what I needed! Get the combo deal!! Breakfast sandwich + donut + medium coffee was well worth the price (I swear their bagels are much larger on average!). It's a great to-go joint but we chose to devour our breakfast in their seating area. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. This used to be a Winchell's. I haven't been in here since trying it out in 2000. Because it was local enough, a friend picked it as a meeting/study place. I asked for ice tea. Well, they don't have ice tea. And that's where it stopped. It did cross my mind to teach them to make instant ice tea. Very much like OTHER places make ice tea on-the-go. You get a cup and put in it a tea bag, pour in a quarter cup of hot water, wait till it darkens, then add ice and water to "make" ice tea. But then I thought about it. If OTHER coffee places can figure this out, and Yum Yum corporate can't, I wouldn't want to put the employee in the position to have to, in complete disbelief, turn down another request for ice tea. But it still smelled like the powder sugar perfume of Winchell's. So we left to go to Grounds. read more
