First time here. Awesome food! Great customer service! Will definitely be one of my favorite places to eat!

Called in to make an order for pickup. The gentleman that answered was extremely unhelpful with explaining their Sushi Deluxe combo. Service was terrible and basically yelling on the phone trying to explain that I only wanted the sushi deluxe and not a macchu picchu roll. Won't be calling in for an order again, let alone buying from this place. I'm sure the sushi is good, but service is confusing and bad. read more

Delicious, fresh tasting sushi! I order custom rolls every time I come in. I have a favorite roll from another sushi place, and they not only make it fit me here, but they make it better. They are more than happy to accommodate me. They put thick, fresh pieces of fish on their rolls. Staff is super friendly, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Went today to try this new sushi place in town! Yumi is right! Generous portions too we tried 3 different rolls and the dragon crunch roll was the best but all were really good. Definitely going back read more

I have been waiting for this place and finally the restaurant opened! The owner was so nice and the employees were very friendly. We ordered a plate of sashimi and some nigiri. The fish they served were fresh and great quality. I will definitely come back and try the other foods. read more

I let the dust clear from the grand opening and decided to try it out. Mixed reviews from locals were posted on social media. Haters that supported the other local spot in town which is fine but I was unimpressed with the presentation and quality. I'm not a native Fallbrookian but I do enjoy eating at several local spots and now this is a new spot I'll be going back to. Tried a few different rolls and dishes. All had very nice presentation and tasted very very good. Very fresh products. I have a few favorite sushi spots in the southern sd county area and this spot is right there with them. This is the worst sushimi I have ever had. Pieces are a third of an inch thick and the mamacita roll was more like a poke bowl than individual rolls that you could eat. The room smells like sewer back up from the restroom. Not something you should have at a sushi bar. Won't be back. read more

Ive been there just twice. The food is above average and the service is poor. The waitress has a bad attitude and messes up a lot.

I am picky about my sushi restaurants. I like fresh fish - good selections - clean environment - good and friendly service. This place really fits the bill! We have had several of their rolls (the Mamacita is amazing!) in addition to the salmon bowl, the ramen bowl, egg rolls, shrimp tempura, baked mussels, ankimo, yellow-tail collar, and steamed shumai (also great!). Everything was prepared with care and well presented! The prices are fair and the food and service are great! The owners really care about their customers! It has become our go-to sushi place! read more

My wife and I ate here for the first time today. We aren't sushi fans, but went for the vegetable ramen. Food was good and service was fast. If they had ambiance music, I would have rated them higher. Will definitely go again. read more

I don't eat a lot of sushi but I like other Japanese fare. This is a great place that is clean with wonderful staff and great food items. When I get sushi it is always perfectly prepared and I rarely have to wait. Glad to have it in Fallbrook ! read more

This place is located where Vince's Pizza used to be in Major's Market shopping center. Food is good, service is fine. The bento box option offers LOTS of combinations and provide a good amount of food for a fair price. I enjoyed the meal, but nothing really stood out. Personally I prefer the other sushi place in town, but this place ain't bad. How can you have a sushi restaurant with no sushi bar? That just ain't right. read more

Great sushi with a big selection. They are very friendly and want you eve happy. They really create extremely fresh and flavorful food. Just beware, their place is small, near Major Market, so plan your visit to avoid peak eating times. The serve to go too. read more

I use to go to the other Japanese restaurant up the street, however since coming to Yumi I haven't gone back. The service Yumi and their staff provides is second to none and should be looked at as the standard of service. Food is amazing and the establishment is clean and fresh. read more

This place is THE BEST! Glad the other, marginal sushi restaurant in town finally got some competition. Yumi is head and shoulders better, service is fantastic and prices are reasonable. We've been back about 8 or 9 times already and have never been disappointed. Can't recommend it highly enough. Get over there and try it out! read more
