Had a craving and since they were open decided to give it try. I realize it was 45 minutes to closing but shrimp fried rice is pretty simple right? Ordered the large size. Lots of shrimp but zero flavor other than a ton of onions. It was pretty much plain brown rice with carrots, peas and way too many onions. My husband wanted to eat here last night and honestly, I wasn't fully on board with that decision. It's one of those restaurants that's about halfway fast food, where you order from the counter and then they bring it to you. I got cashew chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. Terrible customer service today. Last night I ordered a dinner size chef special with egg roll and they accidentally omitted the eggroll in my take home order. I happen to be next-door today and stopped in to get my egg roll. The lady stood at the window and wanted to argue with me in the freezing cold about whether or not The eggroll is included. Maybe we caught them on an off night. Found a clump of hair (3 hairs maybe, yuck) in the fried rice Chef Special which I was excited about because it had some serious amounts of beef, chicken and shrimp. It was also really bland. Gets worse... ended up with some serious toilet issues. The Rainbow roll was tasty but guessing something must have been bad. Also had Chicken Sticks (these were tasty). Probably won't try it again. I LOVE this place!! The sesame chicken is fabulous. I like to order it with noodles for a $1 extra. If you get the dinner portion, one order is enough for two people especially with the noodles/rice and egg role or wonton. Not impressed with the teriyaki flavor. Also ordered lo mein noodles which are slightly over cooked and bland. Restaurant had good reviews from another site but this is Americanized Asian food. I am giving Yammy Asia 4 stars because they don't really stand out. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful restaurant that offers very fresh and tasty Oriental food. Their menu is long and includes Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mongolian and Thai dishes. Every order is freshly made and portions are very large. This is a good place to go to if you are hungry for any Chinese dishes or Thai curries. I've been to this place a few times and haven't tried anything I didn't like. Although they have a selection of usual meats and seafood, I would recommend this place for anyone whom likes vegetarian cuisine. Their Vegetable Delight is to die for! Yummy Asia is great! I usually go for the Beef and Broccoli Dinner Special (level 10 spicy, but that's just my thing). Although they offer egg rolls (not the best I've had) or wanton as a default side, you can substitute things like egg drop soup, etc. They have a huge variety, and everything I've tried is good. Ultimately, it's a really great value for the amount of food you get. One of the better Oriental food joints in the South Tulsa/Bixby area. P.S. The 1 star from the other reviewer is indicative of why sites like Yelp fall short. There is a lot of room between 1 and 5, but most people only sore places as a 1 or a 5. To me, a 1 is just gross, with bugs and other horrible things, whereas a 5 is Gordon Ramsey cooking for you personally. This place is not "Eek! Methinks not." (a 1). Really great takeout place that serves more than just the typical chinese food. They have Thai curries, hibachi and sushi. The green curry with chicken is delicious! The service and staff were great and my family asked what the most popular items were which led us to order the sesame chicken. It looked questionable and was undercooked, and it had more fat than it should have. Their fried rice was okay but could have been better. The iced tea was strange tasting and we had to get it out of the fridge and pour it ourselves. I would not go back, but maybe a different item on the menu would be better. read more
