I think my husband and I have found our go to Chinese place. We recently moved to the area and have not been able to find anyone that impressed us with their Chinese food until yummy kitchen. Our first order was orange beef, chicken lo mein, pork fried rice, and wonton soup. Everything was awesome. My husband isn't one for leftovers but he jumped right in the leftover beef and pork fried rice for lunch the next day. I was just happy to find a place that met the Chinese food craving without making me feel bloated and disgusting after! Tonight we ordered their pu pu platter for two since we were not very hungry for anything too big but wanted some snacky foods, and they delivered again! Everything was piping hot and so delicious. I finally got to try their yelp reviewer renowned crab Rangoon and my god it was like heaven exploded in my mouth. Crispy exterior, pillow like sweet cheesy goodness interior with just the right balance of crab and other seasonings. Try them. You won't regret it. All in all this is probably the best Chinese food in the area and they're decently priced, can't beat that! read more

I saw decent reviews, so I wanted to try their food. They had pineapple chicken on the menu....reminded me of a place we patronized a lot, when we lived in FL. SO DISAPPOINTED...and we spent over $50. You know when chewing gum gets old and it breaks apart in your mouth, till you really start chewing???....yeah, the pineapple chicken was like that. Wicked old chicken...not tender...even in the sauce. We also asked for plain wings and got sticky wings. I was so looking forward to the teriyaki beef. Not tender at all. Overdone and the teriyaki was thick. The meat was charred. Why??? The house fried rice tasted good...but you pay extra for the goodies (pork, chicken, shrimp). I found ONE shrimp. But we didn't starve. We had a $50 meal, with edible fried rice and egg drop soup. Just super disappointed. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Omg!! Used to be my favorite place until I got deathly sick with food poisoning!! The first time I had ate take out earlier in day so presumed it was them I got sick from until the next week when I ordered again and got food poisoning !! When we moved to Warwick a few years back, we tried all the different Chinese options in the area....and there are a lot of them. Most were perfectly good, but once we found Yummy Kitchen we knew we had found OUR Chinese joint. Good food, well prepared, and affordable...all served up by a really nice family. Even the delivery drivers are polite and pleasant, and delivery is always quick AND accurate...not a single mistake in all the time we've been ordering from them. We ordered as a group from work on a Friday. The delivery ETA was 45 minutes and it was a bit longer than that, about an hour. When we received the order, everything was there and hot, which is always welcome from a delivery order. The food was really good; I loved my sesame chicken! I tend to measure a Chinese place by its eggrolls and these didn't disappoint. Will certainly order from them again as I think I've found a craveable item in that sesame chicken. read more

The best Chinese food I have had in the state of Rhode Island! We travel from western Cranston to Warwick to get this! The yummy specials they give so much and the house specials also! I use to work down the street from Yummy Kitchen and this was my go to spot for lunch. This is a typical take out Chinese restaurant in appearance but the food is taken up a notch. The food is usually excellent although not always consistently so (90% of the time it's great). I've tried a few different things on the menu and their sesame chicken is the best I've had from any take out place. Staff is always friendly. A couple of weeks ago I placed a large order for home delivery. Two were put in as "combination" plates and because I do not eat pork, had to be thrown away as well as the egg rolls. For example, I think that "Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables" specified "Large" #68 is clearly not a combo. What a waste of food. Horrible placed an order for delivery, and received beef teriyaki instead of sweet and sour chicken. Younger boy took order and admitted to hitting wrong button but they refused to replace the order they messed up on and refused to refund the difference as the sweet and sour chicken cost less. Had to drive out to store and fight with staff to eventually get correct order. Also took my order back into the kitchen and started to go through the food on the prep table after they had already brought it out of the store.... possible health hazards due to rude and lackadaisical staff. Would recommend them to no one. RE your response: Also would like to note as a family business having a young boy take the order and in fear from making a mistake lied to his parents after stating on the phone he must have hit the wrong button. Is it safe to assume that costumer is not always right at your business? If you are able to deliver food to my address but not fix your mistake then maybe you should not offer delivery to this area of town. All we requested was that we received the order we placed and you were unable to do so. Seeing as I had to drive out to your business and deal with this issue in person we did not want the order at all due to the headache you caused. Also I do not appreciate you posting my street publicly on social media and request you edit your comment. If this common practice to share your customers information what's to say you will not share other information such as phone number or credit card information. To clarify, we did eat a single egg roll and a single crab Rangoon prior to noticing your son's mistake taking the order. I even offered for you to take that out of the refund. The refund was reluctantly received after being disrespected on the phone. My fiancee, who does not need to be named either, was, as you can imagine, appalled by your business practices and stressed with this situation. Will NEVER order from this place again! My nephew loves it and orders it regularly, so for Christmas I got him a $25 gift certificate. I went in and paid with a debit card and that was it. He tries ordering today and was told that the gift card is only good for 80% of his order and 20% is taken as a tip. I have been looking for good Chinese food in RI for a very long time. The food here is delicious. The shrimp and lobster sauce is made like they make in Boston with ground pork in dark sauce and was filled with lots of large shrimp. House rice had big chunks of pork and chicken and shrimp. Spare ribs were very good. None of it had that not quite fresh oil taste I have found so often at chinese restaurants in RI. read more

The Pad Thai is much better than any I've had in other restaurants around the area, The general tso's chicken is crispy, not soggy like most places, and the best part: the crab rangoons are huge and much better than the tiny pebbles other restaurants have. Just finished the hot and sour soup. It came pretty blan and I was surprised. I ask about it and they said some people complain when it's too spicy. They took it back and put some fire in it. :) sweated through the whole bowl. It was very good. I must say though, I am used to more veggies and shrooms in it but all in all it was a fine lunch. read more

though the delivery service was quite speedy, this is hands down, the worst Chinese food my husband and I have ever had. all 3 items we ordered were simply not good at all. the fried fantail shrimp were covered in almost half an inch of burned on the outside, raw on the inside batter. and the shrimp was so rubbery it couldn't be eaten. the pork fried rice was covered in a very, very dark sauce that seemed burned. and finally, there was the steak mei fun (thin rice noodles). the meat was gray and fatty and seemed to be of very low quality. and the noodles, which were oddly broken into very random sizes, and vegetables tasted very bitter and acidic. it seemed like they forgot some of the ingredients! I'd like to think they were just having a bad day but I'll surely NEVER order from Yummy Kitchen again. read more

Don't order the Pad Thai. It had glass noodles but otherwise was a generic Chinese style noodle dish, baby corn and all. I ordered Nim Chow without shrimp and the only ingredients were rice noodles and iceberg lettuce. No herbs or vegetables. Greasy bland bummer. It was probably dumb to order Thai food from a Chinese restaraunt but there is no Thai place in Warwick that delivers. I always order the steamed chicken and broccoli at Chinese restaurants and sometimes the chicken texture is gross. Well it is very good here. And it actually says mixed veggies on the menu but they had no problem giving me just broccoli. And there was a real good amount of chicken in it! It wasn't 80% broccoli like most places. The sauce that comes on the side was kind of gross though. But I really don't use that anyway. The rest of their food seems to be good too. Pineapple chicken, scallion pancakes, and these little steak & cheese "egg rolls" were delicious! That seems to be a new thing around here? Putting odd things in egg roll wrappers. And they are very good here. I think they are the only place in the area that deliver (at least to my house), but I ran in for take out. Like most places there was only 2 tables and it was like a sauna inside! It was cooler outside at 80 degrees. Does anyone actually eat inside Chinese restaurants anyway?
