He tends to pick very flattering, naturalish looks (vs. some other places I've been that are more trend-oriented), but at this point as a natural dark brunette, I've come out with a variety of different brown balayage options, a pretty reddish brown, and an almost black color, and all have looked very healthy and pretty. I like that he's able to give me some variety without damaging it and without suggesting anything that would look bad on me. I have a little gray spot and he does a great job blending it with the highlights so that I don't have to do permanent color. Vibe is very casual and the prices are inexpensive for the area. He is a very honest businessman and will tell you up front if he doesn't think a look is going to be feasible. One time I wanted to go lighter and he lifted the color for a bit, tested it and showed me, went a little longer with no change and let me know that was my limit so that I wouldn't get breakage. He's very professional in conversation topics, keeping it friendly but without anything stressful. I feel safe and comfortable coming here. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and Ryan in particular.

Because my hair is so stubbornly straight, the curls didn't hold perfectly the first time around. But the founder is absolutely amazing--she was incredibly sweet and offered me a second session completely free of charge! I came back a week later so she could assess my hair and redo the process to make sure it turned out exactly how I wanted. In total, the process took about 5-6 hours, and the cost was $500 for the root lift and perm. It was totally worth it for the level of care, patience, and dedication they showed. I also had to reschedule previously because she failed to mention ahead of time that she would be going into labor, which left me scrambling to adjust my plans at the last minute. While I understand that personal circumstances arise, professional communication and courtesy are important. Instead of being transparent and respectful, I was met with a rude attitude and no explanation as to why services would no longer be provided. Clients deserve clear communication, honesty, and professionalism, and unfortunately that was not my experience. My first haircut came out nicely after we chatted about what I wanted and what she thinks would look best, and she recommended me a brown I should try in the future. Today is that future time. It's my second time here! I came in knowing vaguely what I wanted (Some sort of lighter brown with bangs since I had black hair with no bangs lol). We chatted and then I simply trusted the process. She ended up giving me curtain bangs that can also be a little wispy also, and cut my hair to a length that looked soooo good. There was so much attention to detail when she was cutting too. It was great. For the color, she said that a lighter color might not actually look the best on me and a subtle brown might be better! I was pretty down for whatever she thought looked good so I trusted the process again. Let me tell you... this subtle brown looked so good with the cut. Also, my hair? Soft as HECK. It was kinda gritty before so I was shook when I touched my hair after the appt. She chatted with me lots and also gave me space too. It was a great balance and also she answered my questions!! I always have so many questions and she answered them all for me!! Including... how to style my hair because I suck at those things. I'll take any advice and tips I can get.
