In regards to your dumbass response .... AT WHAT POINT DID I ASK FOR A DISCOUNT? Hmmm? I didn't ask for a discount and your staff did not do the right thing because you told them not to! And on top of that I didn't get a discount I got charged $20 MORE than what I should've been charged ( just so you know I paid $175 for that wax) . The receptionist is not welcoming at all. Apparently I'm not the only one who feels that way. Read other reviews and other customers feel the same way. She's rude and has no customer skills. As I wait for my turn I look at her to see if she makes eye contact and smile for once but nothing. Customers walk in and greet her and she doesn't even answer them. Why the hell is she still working here!!! Im disappointed I didn't get the name of the girl who did my eyebrows. She's on the first chair walking in. I just received my first Brazilian wax... I was terrified but Sonia was wonderful. She used an oxy bleach to prep and make the skin soft. So I've been wanting to try eye lash extensions for a long time now! I finally was able to save up money to get them done for my birthday, guaranteed they would last at least one week. They lasted one night!! I paid 45 and was forced to pay a tip so my total came out to 60 bucks! I decided to get my eyebrows threaded here on my lunch break. I walked in and the place was clean and nice so I figured this place was a good idea. My tech was Sonia. She was having a full on conversations with her co worker well threading my eyebrows and when she finish she didn't even let me see them like most places do. she was too busy on trying to up sale me on their bleach facial, so I figured what the hell it was only $40. Then she starts talking about 1st time customer I should get a herbal cleanse. She talked so dam fast I couldn't understand her. I got the facial done. And she was still talking away with her co worker and after everything I end up paying $78. She added a 18 percent tip. Wtf.. Threading and waxing, thanks to Rupa, this is the place to be!!!! I have been to many many many threading and waxing salons, and they just never get it right. Noone's face and eyebrows are even, no one. The salons I've been too, my eyebrows came out too skinny, unclean, or even worst different shapes. One day, I decided to give this place a try, just like the other places I have been too. I came to this salon and Rupa took care of me; she is amazing! We've been coming here for a while since it opened but had a bad experience recently- rude and unprofessional staff, not necessary when there are so many other places to go. The receptionist talks bad about customers as soon as they hang up the phone with her or as customers are walking out- the rest of the staff follows and all talk bad about clients which shows unprofessionalism. Every time I go with Sonia she does an amazing job, especially with my eyebrows, she leaves them fantastic . She always has a positive attitude and does me right. I've gone to YUVA a couple of times with different ladies, but no one does them as good as Sonia, she makes me feel comfortable and good leaving them at a good shape. There is NO privacy here! My friend and I saw this place on groupon and were looking forward to a much needed waxing. When we got in I asked the lady if she wanted to see my Groupon and she said ot wasnt necessary. It was our first Brazilian, which is invasive as it is, but we're expecting that, what I wasn't expecting was for the lady to come in my room and watch me get undressed, AWKWARD! After my waxing where she repeatedly asked for my assistance holding my freshly waxed skin with no gloves on my hands, she said my skin was irritated so I needed soothing cream. She OPENED THE DOOR, with me NAKED from the waist down, enough to where my friend in the salon was able to make direct eye contact with me. I always loved this place until yesterday May 22nd. Me and my grandmother got our eyebrows done and I paid well my grandmother was getting some extra stuff done. So when my grandmother have finished she paid for what she hot done with a little tip. So while I was walking out the door, the lady that did not do my eyebrows says did you tip her. She mentioned to me how the oxy bleach helps remove dead skin, and it really does! Sonia also informed me about chocolate wax, how it hurts less and it really does! Not as painful as you'd normally think. Sonia is very professional and kind. She makes sure that you are comfortable and prevents awkwardness. I've been coming to this location for years and the last time I've came I've been very disappointed today I went and the lady who did my brows had a really heavy hand and when I was checking them out to see if i like them I felt like she was rushing me to check them. Just from walking to my car I could feel a burning sensation and when I look in my mirror I noticed it was irritated and the lady had cut me multiple times and I have patches. I did not get her name and I did not go back in. I'm just very disappointed in the ladies that have been doing them and it always tends to be the older ones. Today I went in to get my eyebrows done during my lunch. It was my first time going to this place. I read the reviews and I was convinced. I walked in and the place looked very clean. They lady was very nice and welcoming. She asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted my eyebrows threaded. She sat me down and finished fast. I was in a rush to go back to work. When I got home I saw the terrible job she did on me. She left hairs and didn't even shape my eyebrows nice. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! I've gone here many times and always get great looking eyebrows no matter who I go with. I've also gotten underarm waxing and today I got a Brazilian and it's always great work. The Reason why I have only 4 starts is because I was not told that if you spend over $50 there is an automatic gratitude charge of 18%, I didn't notice it when she gave me my total of $65 ($45 Brazilian was+$10 eyebrow+$10 gratitude) so o have a $5 tip on top of that ‍ which would bring me to $70. I called and the girl at the front desk explained the gratitude charge and said I can go back to get it adjusted which is cool but still... just keep that little piece of info in mind when you go here. Other than that, my Brazilian came out good and so did my eyebrows. That $15 tip though lol read more
