Amazing service, sushi and drinks here at Yuzu! My daughter and S.I.L. are regulars here, and I understand why. It is definitely worth a visit, especially during Happy Hour weekdays. The tuna poke appetizer was fresh, generous enough for sharing, and had just the right amount of spice to it. They were generous with the diced avocado too. The chicken katsu Bento Box I ordered was a healthy portion and full of delicious, authentic flavors. I loved the unique cucumber salad with delicately scalloped edged, thin cucumber slices and crabmeat stick. The steamed rice was rolled into small cylinder shapes with black sesame seeds on top. I was impressed by the attention to these tiny details and warm greeting from servers that made this meal so memorable. I look forward to returning and trying some of their crafted cocktails too. A West Town gem, for sure.

Sushi here is delicious! I already want to go back. They are creative with their bowls and boxes. I would not recommend the Uni. It was an extra $10 to add to the box. It was a bit fishy. Other than that, all the other cuts were great.

Best sushi I've ever had!!! Great service, atmosphere, beautiful presentation and super fresh fish. Highly recommend!!!

Booked this spot to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday. Yuzu was a great dining experience and definitely one of the better meals I've had recently. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to detail. I'd def prefer the bowls over the rolls. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and everything came out at a steady, comfortable pace. The staff was knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations, which made the experience feel a bit more personal. The atmosphere was modern and inviting, making it a great spot for both a casual dinner and a slightly nicer night out. Only downfall is the surcharge for outside food like a cake to celebrate a birthday was even if we spent over $300 dining in. But something to keep in mind of especially when I'm dining with my toddler since not all items on the menu is kid friendly. I'll have to ask about kiddo next time to be prepared for next time. Overall, Yuzu delivers on both quality and experience. It's not perfect, but it's very close--I'd definitely come back again.

I really enjoyed my experience here! Did a little date night with the hubby and it was delicious. We were able to utilize the last 30 minutes of happy hour when we got there which was nice. To share, we ordered the gyoza and the robata sampler. I recommend the robata sampler especially if you're a meat lover! Very tasty and you get to try 3 types of meats (chicken, beef, and pork). For sushi, we ordered 3 jumbo rolls to share (they were $5 off each roll during happy hour). We ordered the Motown effect, Dragon ball, and the Chicago spring. Out of the 3, Chicago Spring was our fav! The sushi art is so cute and unique. I think it makes dinner a more fun experience.

After seeing this on my friend's instagram story, I had to go. And oh my all the traffic was worth it this place was so good and the fish was so fresh. We started with miso soup which was good and then ordered the Back to Basic roll and I can't recommend it enough I loved it. We also ordered the Hokkaido Winter dish and it was perfect to split both these between 2 of us. The box is dine-in only and came with yuzu seasoned rice underneath scallops, snow crab, roe, toro, and caviar. It comes with seaweed sheets so we made our own mix and match bites and it was absolutely delicious. We also used the ponzu sauce that came with our roll to dip the fish from the box since we saw someone recommended that. Our waitress was super patient with us as there was so much to decide. We got there a little after happy hour ended and it was very busy inside which died out shortly after. So so good !!!

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and loved the food! I came here at 12:30pm to grab a table for 6 because my friend couldn't reserve online. It was still pretty empty, but by the time my friends came at like 12:45pm the place was basically packed and this place opens at 12pm! I got the ume bowl and it blew me away! From the freshness of the sashimi on top to the rice underneath it was just near perfection! The rice was nicely seasoned and you can taste hints of yuzu or something citrus. Super refreshing and paired really well with the sashimi on top. The yellowtail, tuna, and salmon were so fatty good! I felt full after eating half of it. I cannot wait to come back here again for the ume bowl again. I forgot which roll my friend ordered, but it was really good. You can see that the design on the board for the sauce on each roll you order is different and very nice. If you're ever in this area, you have to stop by here for sushi!

I absolutely love the atmosphere and the sushi here. The fish is incredibly fresh and well-priced. The happy hour is also a great perk. From start to finish, service was great. They even accommodate changing our table because we added another person. I can't wait to return!

Yuzu Sushi was such a delightful experience! I loved their creativity, they add beautiful designs to the plates with their sauces, and their rolls are good quality. I got the Chicago Bean and Skyline design with my sushi roll. The service incredibly attentive & helpful. I accidentally spilled a dark sauce on my light jeans and they immediately helped me get soda water to clean it out. They also had great priced happy hour rolls and drinks on the menu which made it a real steal!

So, so good! The fish quality has always been great and there are plenty of fun options on the menu to spice it up or try something new. It's a nice spot to dine in with a good amount of seating.

    20% gratuity to everyone!!

The food itself was wonderful, and the ambience was nice, but unfortunately they apply a 20% gratuity to every single party size!! I'd say to avoid coming here because of that!!

We were warmly greeted and seated right away when we arrived around 6:30pm. The waitresses were very sweet and super quick to serve us. They gave us some recommendations and what was popular since it was our first time. We got the bang bang shrimp, the "don't tell my wife" jumbo roll, monster spider, Philly, and spicy scallop (not pictured). All were very good and filling! They did not skimp on my avocado! The quality of ingredients was wonderful! From the crunchy tempura shrimp on the "don't tell my wife" to the Smokey salmon in the Philly and the buttery smooth spicy scallops. I loved the modern Japandi look of this manga themed sushi restaurant! The manga panels on the wall were a super nice touch

If I could give 6/5 stars I would! This place is right up my alley of hip hop music vibes, city murals, delicious sushi, and intimate ambiance. My friend and I got seated at a table of 2 and it was crowded for a Friday dinner. We had the miso salmon, ume bowl, mori sashimi, and the Hokkaido winter. My friend and I ordered the lavender and lychee martini and they were insanely delicious and presented beautifully. The food was the freshest sashimi selection I've had in Chicago area. My favorite entree was the Hokkaido winter with the seafood arranged over their yuzu seasoning rice. We had tried the yuzu ponzu sauce on the side and it made the food taste even more delicious. The miso salmon as an appetizer was also insanely tasty and presented as a flower. The service was attentive and friendly, we never felt rushed at all. The tiramisu was made wonderfully as well, nothing too out of the ordinary. Their presentations gave an authentic taste of Japan and I am already planning to come back for happy hour soon!

I could hear the sizzling from the grill, smell the food cooking, and by that point I was more than ready to eat. Our server was really nice and gave us a bunch of recommendations. Everything sounded good, but I ended up going with the Pork Belly Yakisoba. This dish was packed with flavor. The noodles had that smoky, slightly charred taste, and they were coated in just enough sauce to make every bite rich. The sauce brought a nice balance of savory, a little sweetness, and plenty of umami that soaked into the noodles. The pork belly was easily the best part. It was incredibly tender and juicy, with just enough fat that it practically melted in your mouth. Every piece had those caramelized edges that added even more flavor. Then you get the crunch from the cabbage and bean sprouts, the freshness from the scallions, and the little nutty flavor from the sesame that tied everything together. Hahaha I'd definitely come back. This is one of those dishes that sticked with me long after I left.

I got the pork okonomiyaki lunch set and added a fried egg to it. I like that the table has a built in grill to keep it warm (I'm a slow eater, so this is extra beneficial for me). The bacon was quite salty, compounded by the okonomi sauce. Hoping the kombu vegetables would offset this, I mixed them into each bite to no avail. The pandan coconut mochi donut holes I chose were probably the highlight. They were crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and there was ample sauce for dipping. I think some people would find the service top notch here--constantly checking in on me and keeping water refilled. I guess that came with a cost: 3% service charge automatically applied, and the server proactively brought over a digital payment system, so the 18% tip I selected calculated off the total leading to what was essentially a tip of 23%.

The Alaskan cod sandwich was served on a bed of cabbage covered in a sweet teriyaki & brown mustard sauce with maybe a squeeze of kewpie sprinkled in between. For the main attraction I ordered the spicy garlic ramen that was such a delightful mouth experience it really hit all the taste buds! The noodles were perfectly bouncy with the right amount of chew. The jellied egg was perfect and rounded the soup very well! The red chili threads enhanced the spicy miso broth just enough to slurp all the delicious goodness down! My husband ordered the Sapporo miso soup which had more of a creamy type of broth vs the spicy garlic. The noodles were also thinner than regular ramen & had a bouncy springy texture that just hit the spot! Candidly it wasn't on my to-do, but the restaurant happened to be on my route back to my hotel and I hadn't had dinner yet. I walked into the restaurant, and there was a spot open right at the bar waiting for me. I think it was meant to be. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, which was casual but trendy. Best part of all was the music. My ears perked up when I heard Hieroglyphics - The Who... A Plus Remix. Instantly felt "at home" with the underground, old school hip hop. Compliments to their curated Pandora playlist. I ordered the the spicy scallop roll, super san roll, and sawara (Spanish mackerel) nigiri. The spicy scallop roll was my favorite. The super san roll was a mix of their toro with varying fattiness. I appreciated that you could order half rolls at Sushi-San, which came out to 5 pieces instead of 10. This was more than enough food for me. The sawara was buttery and fresh. If you don't like the "fishiness" of saba, you'll enjoy sawara. Lastly, overall customer service was great. The food came out incredibly fast. The bartender who assisted me was awesome. He was attentive and personable.
