We love Yuzu Sushi. It is our go to sushi spot. The owner is warm and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious and fresh. To date this is the best sushi I've had in Atlanta . Granted i have not been to too many places here in atl yet but i do know good sushi. Yuzu sushi is a bright, casual, relaxed atmosphere with minimal decorations. The food speaks for the place. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. And the fish is so so so fresh and delicious. We started with the Japanese ceviche which was delicious. I had never had tomato with sushi or Japanese prepared nigiri/sashimi before so i was a bit hesitant about it at first. But wow. The flavors and the ingredients were so fresh and the portion of fish was generous. We also got the chirashi which was an assortment of fish over a bed of rice. I would have preferred the fish just by itself , without the rice, honestly. The fish was fresh and although it didn't have any seasoning or accented sauces, it was so good that it didn't need anything. See picture! We then got three rolls too: the yellowtail, the crunch rainbow, and the double tuna. The crunch rainbow roll is amazing!!! All this food for less than $100 for two people. Excellent sushi! Wonderful customer service! Fantastic value! There are many sushi places in the Atlanta area but this is the casual one that we have been drawn to. Upon entering, we were immediately seated at tables that had hand sanitizers, given disposable cups to drink as we went through the menu. We ordered a lot of different Maki rolls, thinking that they would be a small portion but we were wrong. The rolls had plenty of fresh fish and we left feeling very satisfied. Everything about this place from the beautiful interior, fantastic service, presentation of the food, taste of the food, variety of the food, and so much more. If you are hungry for sushi, then please come here. Prices are pretty high, but sometimes you got to put in that extra money to get not only an improvement in quality, but also the non-sushi improvement factors. I think I ate most of menu in terms of sushi rolls in this place, and honestly you can't go wrong. Even the basic rolls, you can't go wrong. You will come out satisfied and happy. I love this place so much. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure there are openings and just book that reservation to avoid waiting. You can even call day of. We got chicken teriyaki ($13.90), which comes with miso soup and side salad. I wasn't really a fan and wouldn't get it again. We got an extra miso soup ($2.00) and side salad ($2.50). The miso soup was small, but the salad was a decent size. The dressing for the salad was peanut-y and not the usual ginger dressing, which was a pleasant surprise. We also got the 911 Roll ($12.90) and Yellowtail Delight Roll ($16.50). Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but I wasn't too fond of either one. This was our second time eating Yuzu Sushi. Yuzu sushi is located near the Chamblee apartment building, the Oliver, where there are lots of parking spaces. I've been to Yuzu sushi twice for lunch because it is close to my work and really like this place! It is quiet and the service is usually on point. I've gotten the #1 (6 pc sushi + CA roll) and #4 (spicy tuna tartar + 3pc sushi + 4 pc CA roll) on the lunch specials menu. Both give you a lot of food, so make sure you come hungry or be ready to take your CA rolls home. The fish are fresh and delicious, but with nigiri and rolls, it can feel like too much rice. Formerly Sushi Mania, Yuzu Sushi is owned by Anna & Kenny and is in a revitalized section of Chamblee on Chamblee-Tucker Rd. I had not been able to find where they moved to until recently so I was BEYOND ecstatic to plan a trip here. I met my friend here, and assured her ahead of time she'd love the sushi. The new place is soooo nice with a touch of modern and Japanese ambiance. Semi-romantic with mood lighting as well. It was like a homecoming walking in and seeing Anna, Kenny and David. So happy for them! So, my friend basically just ordered everything I did and we shared some rolls. We started off with the miso soup (which was perfect), and a large hot sake. We then ordered two hand rolls: spicy salmon and spicy tuna. GET those! They are some of the best. I then ordered the "David Roll", which is something David used to make for me. He actually remembered it and it was amazing! Picture included. I let my friend order the next roll but she was struggling so I played Steve Nash and gave her an assist. We got the yellowtail jalapeño roll. Fresh, amazing, perfect ... GONE! Service was great and we pretty much stayed there for 3 hours enjoying everything. Yuzu Sushi goes down as one of my new favorite sushi restaurants! Location: On the main level of a recently developed mixed-use complex across from Walmart. Parking: 4-5 spots on the side when you first turn in. Go further back for more parking spots. Inside: The restaurant has an open-space layout, wooden-themed. Everything looks very new and well-kept. Yuzu gives off a pretty intimate/cozy vibe (perfect date spot!). When I first discovered this place, they had this playlist filled with jazzy-covers of classic love songs. One of the ladies (whom I think may be the manager) greeted us when we walked in. She said she remembered me, but I remained skeptical until she actually pointed the the table where my party sat the first time around. Our server was very attentive the whole way through. I hate writing this review but Yuzu has really gone downhill since it's opening a several years ago. This used to be by far my favorite sushi spot and had great prices and high quality. Unfortunately, the restaurant has pivoted hard into catering to the UberEast/DoorDash/Delivery crowd and has not increased staff accordingly. As such, if you come, expect to wait over an hour to be served your food. The last few times we went I wondered if the wait/chef staff forgot we were at the restaurant. Our sushi has even come out luke warm on occasion, meaning it had been prepared and sat before expediters realized it was our. Meanwhile, they are getting massive throughput through the delivery channels and I'm sure turning quite a good profit there. The food quality and prices are still OK but wait times are unacceptable at this point for me. You can go to a place like The One instead for similar prices and better service. read more

LOVED yuzu sushi. It was casual, quiet, had great service, and the food was the best part. Honestly everything was top notch. We started with seaweed salad and edamame. Then for rolls, I got the yellowtail delight and the salmon lemon roll. Both were amazing but the salmon lemon roll was my favorite. My sister, who's pregnant, wanted a cooked roll and got the BSC and the California roll and loved both! She was super impressed with the BSC and was grateful for a cooked sushi roll that still was fresh and unique tasting. We will definitely be back in the future. read more

This is a small sushi shop part of a strip mall. Parking is located in a few little lots or spots behind it They have a good selection on the menu & you gotta try the jalapeno appetizer! It's got tuna & cream cheese in it & they're super good! Flash fried and so worth it. $8.50 for 2 jalapenos cut in half (4 pieces total) We had the crunch rainbow roll & an order of deluxe nigiri. The roll was amazing minus the crunchy bit. The texture just threw me off bc there's some dry part with the crunch on it and the rest is super smooth. Sushi tasted fresh & I hadn't had tamago in a long time so that was a nice surprise! I definitely want to go back and try maybe some quail egg options. This is definitely the sushi place you want to go for some traditional aspects with their nigiri but they do have more fusion items like the stuffed jalapenos. read more

And just as good as before but with better digs in the upcoming new area in Chamblee across from the Wally World. Sushi rolls are amazing fresh and with copious amounts of fish!! AMBIENCE 5/5 The ambience at the dinner service has a bit more of the intimate setting. It must be the lightings. It is definitely a great place to relax and dine. Needless to say, I love the ambience both day and night ;) FOOD 5/5 Tonight we ordered the Creamy Rock Sugar Prawn Tempura, Dragon Roll, Eel & Cucumber, BSC (baked scallops in a creamy sauce over California Roll) and an order of Unagi nigiri. This is my new go to sushi place! The inside is nice and clean in a building that looks fairly new, parking is pretty easy (I've only been during COVID times though, and only for takeout). The employees are always friendly too! I'm usually not the biggest fan of fried sushi, but the crazy spicy tuna roll is pretty light and adds a delicious crunch. The sunset roll was amazing as well! We got the edamame as a side and it was good, not that you can really mess up edamame. This is my new go to sushi place, and I'll definitely keep supporting! read more

Yuzu is the best sushi I have had in a very long time. This is my new go-to for delivery, and I look forward to eating inside at some point. The lemon salmon roll, as mentioned by others, is life-changing. The flavor is so incredibly bright and refreshing. I also really like the scallop roll. Upon walking in, my first impression was that the air smelled like fish. Fresh sushi should not smell "fishy", but I decided to give this place a shot anyways. I ordered several nigiris and they did forget one of them. The quality of the fish did not taste great, but the price was fair and they did give large portion cuts for each nigiri. I must be eating some crazy bad common cheap sushi in town, but I saw an article about where to find pretty sushi and Yuzu caught my eye. I didn't order a lot but I was sated when I left. I think that the people sitting next to me could maybe hear me moaning in ecstacy. I had their toro nigiri which was so fresh I was blown away. I ordered the spicy tuna roll not fancy and it was well presented and very tasty, I was served a cup of piping hot miso soup which was nice lagniappe. Then came my salmon nigiri with a dollop of sauce mixed with mild onions and black tobiko which was sublime. My last nigiri was Japanese scallop. This was served with I think a little more than one scallop. It was generously topped with a sumptuous sauce and green masago. Devine. I was so happy to have found this gem. To-go update: In this time of COVID-19 and the need for takeout orders, Yuzu sushi did not disappoint. I ordered a number of items for my family at 5pm for pickup at 6pm, and it was ready to go when I strolled in at 5:55pm. The staff were all wearing masks and kept their distance by placing my bagged order on a table away from them. The cashier was the closest interaction but he promoted me to insert my own card and tried to distance himself as much as possible while passing the receipt. We unpacked the order as soon as we got home. The food was well packaged with plenty of condiments (wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, salad dressing, etc.). We ordered agedashi tofu and the staff had packed the sauce separately so the tofu would not be soggy. Same for sauce for eel rolls and mixed tempura - all in separate containers so we could pour it in ourselves. The mixed tempura was still perfectly crunchy despite being to-go! All the 4 rolls we ordered were still beautifully presented despite being in a styrofoam to-go box with all the garnishing you would expect for a dine-in experience. We've been ordering 2-3 times a week during quarantine to support local businesses and Yuzu was def one of the top 3 takeout experiences. Sushi nigiri - ordered uni, toro, halibut, yellowtail, salmon, and sweet shrimp. Let me just say right off the bat if money isn't an issue, DEFINITELY AND INDUBITABLY ORDER THE TORO. It was great quality and tasted amazing. Coming from LA, I tried a lot of great sushi and this was definitely comparable. My favorite out of the list. Halibut & Yellowtail were both delicious too, but I've had better. Uni and their salmon specialty sushi is something I'd pass on. I'm not sure why but since I've moved to GA all the Uni I've tried has just tasted horrendous. Not sure if its because of the season or where it's supplied from, but I am still waiting to just eat some sweet creamy delicious uni. This was here was bitter and sour. The sweet shrimp was also nothing special. They fry the head for you but the nigiri is not worth the price. Chirashi Bowl - Typical chirashi bowl with variety of fresh fishes. Wish they'd offer a premium one with premium fishes but oh well. Rolls here are pretty great too. They have great variety and I think the quality is great too. Only knock I would say is that the price is definitely high and they didn't have 3/4 beers that I wanted to drink in stock. Services was great and the workers were nice. Reason why I rate it 4 stars instead of 5 is that only certain sashimi were good while others were bad or mediocre. Unfortunately had a very negative experience here. I called for a reservation for 2 with a stroller (as we usually do). We got there and the lady said no strollers were allowed. I told her I called and made a reservation for two and mentioned the stroller. She said I didn't hear you. I said we always bring in our baby in the stroller, to which she said look around there's no space for a stroller. She then pushed my baby's stroller back, rolling over my friends foot too. I asked her not to touch my baby to which she said "oh my god what is wrong with you". I was shocked that she laid her hands on my baby's stroller and pushed it aggressively back. Apparently she said she's the owner, and if that's the case will never return. Pretty unfortunate because we would visit at least once or twice a month but will never come again after this.
