Callus remover is not supposed to cut up your feet . 80$ pedicure and this is what it looks like the next day. Told the lady it was burning and itching and she continued to leave it on to finish shaping my toes and used the scrub brush . WOW. This place gets better and better. Me and my sister brought my mom for Mother's Day. We made an appointment at least a couple weeks in advance because we knew it would be busy. They go above and beyond every time. They provided seats outside knowing the waiting area would be packed. Because we made an appointment, we were brought in and sat almost immediately. My mom always gets the same ombré French (but changed up the color slightly this time and it looks so good) and she brings her own nail polish for her toes. My sister got a pedicure and a manicure. And I got a full set. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. They had a long list of drinks available, fruit cups, charcuterie cups, roses for moms. Super easy to book an appt online! I booked the morning of and they had enough nail techs to accommodate me later that afternoon. I was also running late so I called ahead to let them know I'm on the way and the man who answered said "that's okay we'll be here drive safe" which was really nice. I had an appt with Tammy and she was very patient and friendly while I chose my nail color. She was efficient to take off my previous acrylic nails, very detailed when cleaning my cuticles, and precise with my updated nail color. The price for this service was $45 all together for an acrylic removal and gel manicure. Way more reasonable than other nail salons near by. I debated writing this review because I've been coming to Yvonne's for years with mostly positive experiences. When I was there last week though for a pedicure, I decided to just get the gel polish removed from my fingernails. My pedicure was well done and the salon is clean. Unfortunately, I think the gel removal being an add on versus a full manicure didn't allow it to get full attention. A very coarse electric file was used pretty aggressively to get the gel off and my nails are still so painful and I can even see scratches in them from the file. Even a week later, my nails are ripping and tender to the touch. I would hate for this to happen to another person, so I ultimately decided to share my experience. read more

Hannah #6 is amazing my nails last a long time and she does a good pedicure she also works fast and efficient. If I need her to change or fix something she is more than happy to. This places has a lot of seating for nails and feet. They usually offer water, tea , or mimosas. I really love that decorate for the holiday. I've been going to Yvonne's Nails on and off, and today I needed to remove my dip-colored nails because two of them broke. Jenny recommended trying gel builder, so I decided to go for it. Normally, I see Ruby (who does an amazing job, by the way), but since I walked in, Jenny took care of my nails. I chose color number 5069, which reminded me of the shade my mom used to get. For my nails, I often go to this place and I highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. John who is the manager and often found at the front desk is very warm and welcoming. He really takes time to talk to his customers and make them feel important by asking for drinks. I have personally seen him sometimes taking time to help customers with nails when it's rush hours and his staff is busy. He is an empathetic and kind person. I'm very disappointed with the consistent lack of professionalism at this nail salon. Appointments are frequently not honored- most times you do not receive service from the nail tech you scheduled with, and there is no communication upon arrival to let you know that your technician is not available. A service that should take an hour routinely takes 2-3 hours and often still results in unsatisfactory work. Customer service is also a major issue. While the owner often apologizes after complaints are made, the same problem continues to happen repeatedly. Overall, this salon lacks respect for customers time and expectations. Came in as a walk-in when it was a busy weekday afternoon. I waited about five minutes until I was seated for a manicure. A lady came out from the back who was my nail tech for the day. I showed her the picture of the cat eye color I wanted which the salon had on the board. She told me it would cost an extra $10 for cat eye and I was ok with that. She did not wear gloves and I could see one of her thumbs was really dirty but I just let her do her work and see how it went. When she was cleaning up my cuticles and skin around my nails, she was doing it so quickly that I felt she may have cut too much of my skin off. She did check with me at every step to see if I liked the polish color and it seemed ok under their lamp lighting. I noticed the polish she used was really thin and she did two coats of polish. She also was not familiar with cat eye polish and had to ask another nail tech on how to use the magnet. I was skeptical on the quality but I tried to trust her process. The total time it took from start to finish was less than an hour. In the end, the bill came to $55 + tip. When I went home, I immediately saw how the nail polish was not evenly spread out on my nail. It's most noticeable on my thumb where I can clearly see streaks of polish and even see through to my natural nail. I also saw that I did get a cut on my thumb and my pinky both on my left hand. Also it doesn't show well in photos but the color I got appears more green than it does blue. Overall, I'm not satisfied with the quality of how this turned out. I believe their lamp lighting made it look like the nails were ok but once I got home it was clear that the polish job was not good. Save your time and money to go to another location. I know of a better one in the area so I'll go back there next time. TL;DR I would not recommend this salon because of the uneven polish coats, cuts on my fingers, and inexperienced nail tech. read more

came at this place for SOME time, a couple of years now. Heard of a nail tech named Van, who doesn't work there anymore--same goes for Annie and Ivy. I honestly saw the potential in this salon, but the lack of consideration for some clients is beyond question :/. today, I came in right when they opened, cool. I was planning to get my feet done after my nails, as I had already made an appointment ahead of time for both on the same day. Before I say more--ever since Van stopped working there, most nail techs there (will not say all, because I haven't gone through each one, and honestly wouldn't want to) charge over $80+ even for a short Gel X set, (do correct me if wrong for prices, but still acc is very expensive) and that poorly inconsiderate job gives you the exact results I'll be talking about in this review :/. it costs way too much for SOME of the nail techs to take up the longest part of your day, while also making the nails look unappealing and not clean. A lot of this issue is the cuticles. They never seem to apply the remaining gel or polish properly into the nail bed--rather, they put it outward, so it looks like you already need another set. That's actually very inconsiderate to do to a client who repeatedly (yes, my fault) comes to an establishment that doesn't really care about clients, more about the payment, and stays messy instead of being professional. so after Van left, I moved on to Annie, who was also a good alternative for a nail tech like Van when she was still working there. then Annie stopped as well--mind you, all within the same timeline. after that, Ivy was another good alternative for Van/Annie, and she also stopped having any availabilities available for nail appointments --prob almost a year now? Three nail techs who were actually considerate of their clients, despite the overcharge pays/unprofessional, all stopped working within the same year/months. Okay, right? I then moved on to a different nail tech at this place, because why not? The salon looks nice, so why not the nail techs too. Jade is honestly a good alternative, but overall the nail techs seem just okay--not for the pricing. You'll be paying at least $40/60+ for just gel polish, up to acrylic/Gel X, which isn't worth it unless they're extremely good with timing and making the nails actually look appealing. so many at-home nail techs do better and charge way less than this place. the only reason I kept coming was distance--it's only a few blocks away from my home, easy to go to. money has never been an issue, but for this? It's overrated, overpriced, and one particular owner is very questionable. Ironically, I had an appointment with her once. She is heavy-handed and was very rough. I only booked her because I assumed she'd be worth the price. It was somewhat worth it, except for the fact that today she was very unprofessional--still am, not sure why. yesterday morninng, I was getting my first appointment (Gel X nails) done by An, who is a thoughtful nail tech. We chatted while she worked, but she doesn't seem advanced enough for the pricing or the nail looks this salon advertises. Most of the considerate nail techs are: Van (left), Annie (left), Ivy (no longer available), Jade (still works and is honestly a good alt) and kind of An--she just seems a little unreliable when it comes to recreating nail inspiration styles & takes a LONG time that'll take up your entire day + future booked appointments u had made w/ her. no hard feelings toward any of these techs--just the inconsistency in professionalism and consideration, especially when clients are paying + showing up on time, just to be flashed by hours of wasted time & money -now. will not be coming here anymore, and I don't want to deal with either owner again because this keeps happening. I'm clearly not the only negative review saying this. Today was supposed to be a day I got my nails done, but I was completely stunned by the owner's treatment and by time being taken up unnecessarily--people have lives and things to do, not sit around for 3+ hours for nails that still look rushed while paying $70-$80+. Paid over 80$ which was, 90. There are two owners, but I'll only be speaking on Holly. Her lack of professionalism and her attitude were very inappropriate for a salon that overcharges for nails that don't even fill in properly at the nail bed. When I asked for a redo, I fully acknowledged to An that I would pay extra (for polish only). While A was redoing them, Holly came over with a very unnecessary snappy-attitude. didn't even realize it until she walked away saying, "Don't change it again." An heard it and even said sorry to me afterwards --messy, bc i usually just want to come in - get myself pampered & get on w/ my day; without my time getting indulged w/. honestly? I booked an appointment online and when I got there at five for my appointment, the gentleman asked me did I have an appointment booked I said yes I told him yes. And I also told him who I booked my appointment with he had said that the nail tech was still busy, but I could wait for a moment. I waited 15 minutes before I was taken back. Keep in mind there were five different individuals who came in after me that did not have an appointment. After 15 minutes, I was taken back and put in a chair for a pedicure at that point there was six more people that came in after me and they were serviced even before I was so after 45 minutes I got up and decided to leave. My little sisters went to this location and got simple nails. One of them asked for a small design and was immediately asked to overpay. $95 just for a simple nail and design on ONE nail, so she didn't get it. The total ended up being 105 for both of them and my sister only had 95 so i went in to pay the final 10. The guy asked for a tip and my sister said $5 because her service wasn't good so that would mean I should be paying $15. I watch as the guy tried to sneakily input $25 into the machine and have me pay that so when he puts it out for me to tap, I asked how much is it? So he looks down and sees that he's caught and starts doing the math for 10+5, tip + the final 10. I was just staring at him faking all of this in order to get an extra tip and scam me out of $10 after attempting to overcharge my sisters just because they are younger. My complain is this.....after1 day, the gel polish started to peel and my cuticles look a mess. I paid $35 for a gel manicure that lasted 1 day. I didn't hit my nail or did anything rough with my hands. The pictures tell it all. I was going to go back and ask them to re-do them. But,I am so busy, that I just do have the time to have them do it over and it'll probably happen again. I don't remember the young lady's name who did them, but she sits near the front entrance. Came in as a first timer on Friday early morning when they open. It was nice welcoming greeting. I explained what I want to get done to my nail tech. I always get polygel or gel X. This visit, I had polygel and one nail was too short so I have one gel X. She asked me if I want acrylic instead of gel x but I was very firm that I want gel x. During the procedure of doing my gel x, I knew my nail won't last but she skips a lot of step to apply the gel x. Such as, not filing inner nail before putting the uv gel and filing the edge to prevent lifting. She apply like it was press on nail. I was not pleased. Sunday morning, my nail pop right off when I was carrying a diaper bag. Of course, I was upset. Paid $60 that didn't last 48 hours. Definitely, the nail tech doesn't know how to do gel x nail. My first time at Yvonne's this past weekend and I'd left quite impressed. Impressed with the level of service as well as the rates. As I was sitting there getting my manicure I did some observation. They have a pretty good system of operation (especially by Covid standards) and they seem to be following all of the regulations (i.e, plexiglass separating the manicure stations, all staff members are wearing masks); but the only thing I did not see was sterilizing the work station after each customer leaves. Quynh worked on my manicure and I thought she did a superb job of checking for flaws as she worked and making sure she applied the right amount of care all the way from cleaning cuticles to adding even coats of polish. The customer service is really bad. They are unapologetic and the guy manager is rude. It's clear they only care about your money and not the quality service. They also charge more than better places around the area. I got my acrylic nails done here. I originally asked for French tips and the acrylic powder had orange stuff in it and I pointed it out multiple times and the lady told me not to worry and that once she files it down I wouldn't be able to see it. It's towards the end of the appointment and I can see the orange stuff in my nails. I explain that I'm not happy and her response is that "no one's looking at my nails up close". I would like to say that I get my nails done for me and not anyone else. So it doesn't matter if anyone can see it because I can see it. They decided to just paint the whole nail and I can see the texture because it wasn't filed down correctly. The lady also cut me. I understand that these things happen, BUT SHE PUT NAIL GLUE OVER THE CUT THAT WAS BLEEDING. That is ridiculous. I unfortunately wasted my time and money on this business. So I have been coming to this place for years to get my mom and wife gift certificates. Recently they went to actual gift cards instead of the original paper ones. I bought one for my mother for her birthday using cash gave it to her and everything was great(or so I thought).I just bought her another one for Christmas and upon receiving it she informed me that they said the gift card I bought her for her birthday was not valid and had no balance. So today I went down and confronted the store owner who I bought the card for and ask him to check the camera footage if he did not believe I purchased it. He said he would check and then all of a sudden said there was no camera footage. He very rudely told me the cards are upfront and anyone can just come up and take them and told me there was nothing he could do for us.Needless to say I will never purchase another gift card from this place again. read more
