I honestly didn't notice how poorly my big toes were painted until I got home and my boyfriend pointed it out. Now I can't unsee it . I've been here several times before, and they usually have great customer service. I just wish I had noticed sooner so I could have pointed it out and given them the chance to fix it. They made sure I was comfortable throughout my time at the salon. The attention to detail is on point! They do not rush trying to finish and really take the time to ensure that the end product is what the customer wants. I usually get both a pedicure and a manicure, both are priced decently. In addition, they open early and take walk ins, highly recommend anyone that is in the area or even out of the area. So worth the time and happy with the results!

First, I was shocked that a basic kids' pedicure for my 8-year-old son cost $27. All they did was trim and clean his nails, followed by a short leg massage. That price seems extremely high for such a simple service, and there was never any discussion of pricing beforehand. The biggest issue, though, was my own nails. I paid about $55 for my gel manicure--$35 for gel polish, plus an additional $20 for a French tip and a small Mickey design. When I woke up the very next morning, less than 24 hours later, the entire gel polish had already peeled completely off one of my thumbnails. The French tip and Mickey design on other nails were also already lifting and peeling. I've never had a gel manicure fail this quickly. If I lived closer and didn't have to drive across the bridge, I would absolutely return to request a full refund because this level of quality is unacceptable. Between my dad, my two kids, and me, we spent close to $500, so we expected much better workmanship. My daughter's nails actually turned out great, so this review is strictly about the quality of my nails. One other thing that bothered me was my dad's pedicure. The staff kept offering him additional services during the appointment, and he kept saying yes without realizing each one came with an extra charge. By the end, his pedicure totaled over $100 plus tip. I really think pricing for add-on services should be clearly explained before they're performed so customers can make informed decisions. I've attached photos showing my thumbnail the morning after my appointment, along with photos I took the night before. It's incredibly disappointing to spend this much money and have a gel manicure start peeling in less than 24 hours.

I specifically told the nail technician to be gentle and to only trim it, not remove it. Despite this, the toenail was ripped off completely. I am in significant pain and it will now take several months for the nail to grow back. The experience did not stop there. My cuticles were also filed aggressively, even after I repeatedly asked for it to stop. At one point, I felt my concerns were not being taken seriously because she laughed at me. I left in discomfort that required them to apply Vaseline before I left due to irritation. I will not be posting a photo as the injury is graphic. This was a genuinely upsetting experience and I would not want anyone else to go through something similar. I would strongly recommend others consider going elsewhere. RESPONSE TO BUSINESS OWNER - Yes, $5.50 was taken off my bill. However, that does not come close to addressing what happened. I know my own toenails, and I clearly explained multiple times that one nail was loose and needed to be trimmed carefully. Despite that, the technician did not listen and ended up ripping the toenail off entirely. It was still attached and could have been handled gently, but it was not. At this point, my priority is not to go back and forth but to share my experience honestly so others are aware before booking an appointment. I believe it is important for potential customers to know what occurred. I understand your request, but I'm not comfortable posting a photo. I've been going to her since she was at another salon in Union City, so when I heard she finally opened her own place, I was honestly so happy for her. I recently came in to see the new salon for the first time, and you can just tell how much heart she's put into it, especially considering she's only been open about a month. She was pretty booked when I wanted to come in, but she recommended Kathy to me and said she knew exactly the style I like--fast, efficient, but still really detailed and clean work. I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant at first, but the way she stood behind her team gave me confidence, so I went for it... and I'm so glad I did. Kathy did such an amazing job on my nails. Everything was done quickly but still super precise, which I really appreciate. I loved the color I chose, and she suggested adding chrome on top, which made the whole look even better. It came out so pretty--I've been getting compliments nonstop. Another thing I really appreciate is their pricing. I've tried so many nail salons around Union City and even out in the South Bay, and it's hard to find this level of service at such reasonable prices. You're not sacrificing quality at all, which is rare. And their pedicures are such a good deal--they include everything, instead of charging extra for every little add-on like most places do now. You can really tell she cares about creating a space where women can come in, relax, and still feel good about what they're spending. That matters. Highly recommend checking them out. I've been going to Jennifer for years, and I'm beyond proud of her for opening her own salon--it's been amazing to watch her grow and build something of her own. Jennifer isn't just an incredibly talented nail tech, she's also become a friend. Every appointment feels like catching up with someone who genuinely cares about you. We always have the best conversations, and she creates such a comfortable, welcoming environment. She's also incredibly detail-oriented. She constantly checks in to make sure my nails are shaped exactly how I like them and won't stop until they're perfect. That level of care is hard to find. The salon itself is beautiful and truly goes above and beyond. There are so many color options, and the chairs are SO luxurious--especially the pedicure chairs (the massage even works your arms and lower body, which I've never experienced anywhere else!). She also offers a variety of drinks, including coffee, tea, water, and even complimentary wine, which makes the whole visit feel extra special. I recently treated myself to one of her deluxe pedicures and it was hands down the most luxurious pedicure I've ever had. It included hot wax, callus removal, a mud mask, a 20-minute massage, and even fresh oranges used on the skin for brightening and natural exfoliation. It honestly felt like a full spa experience. Jennifer and her entire team are kind, thoughtful, and genuinely care about their clients. However, what disappointed me was not the mistake itself, but how it was handled. During my appointment, the cuticle was trimmed too aggressively, causing bleeding and significant pain. I immediately told her it hurt, mentioned that I was bleeding, and even physically pulled my hand away because the area was so sensitive. At first, there was very little response or concern shown. No antiseptic, no bandage, no suggestion of how to care for the wound afterward. I eventually had to ask for antibacterial cream myself before anything was done. The service then continued as if nothing had happened. To her credit, she later apologized and explained that she was trying to make my nails look neat. I appreciate the apology, and I understand accidents happen. What concerns me is the lack of training or protocol when a customer is injured during a service. As a business owner myself, I know mistakes are unavoidable. What matters is how you respond when they happen. A sincere apology, immediate first aid, checking on the client, or even offering a small gesture of goodwill would have shown professionalism and care. The cut is small visually, but it has remained painful, sensitive, and irritating long after the appointment. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unsupported. I don't believe anyone intended harm, but because of how the situation was handled, I don't feel comfortable returning.
