This salon rocks!!! I just moved to the east bay and was looking for a good salon, this place has amazing manicurists. The ladies do an amazing job! My sister and I got deluxe pedicures which were awesome! If your feet are due for some attention or you just had a long day, this pedicure will make you feel pampered! They are very friendly as soon as you walk in, they will offer you something to drink. My manicurist was a total sweetheart! We also got shellac manicures and they turned out amazing! I know will now become a regular. The salon is big and spacious, I believe it has AC as it was comfortable inside. Come to this place if you want to feel pampered and get good service! read more

This is the second time me coming here and overall it's overpriced for the services you are getting. The first time I came with my mom and we both got a pedi and mani (gel & deep powder). The nail techs had a hard time understanding what I wanted from them. I payed for the both my mother and I about $200. I had to come back because my nails started chipping immediately after. I called and they were gracious enough to fix it. The unfortunate part is that the whole salon made a fuss about it and you could clearly see that annoyance in their face. I was just as annoyed to waste my time. I came back a second time today to give them another shot and was attended fairly quickly. The lady who did my toes and I had a miscommunication and she did regular nail polish when I had asked for Gel. Which is fine they fixed the problem. (The price went up from $40 to $58 just so they can do the gel). I also got my nails done - a full set, and they did an amazing job. The total for both services ran me $98 total plus tip. The nails came out good the second time around. Unfortunately I won't be coming back, I didn't appreciate that they made a whole scene when I simply asked what the price breakdown was. For the second time I had the entire salon glaring. All I asked was for a price break down. I didn't appreciate that kind of service when all I asked was for something so simple. I don't mind paying just explain to me why you originally charged $83 and then the price jumped to $98. That's all. read more

Now coming from there original location (by newpark mall ) to now new mowry location WOW THEY JUST GOT EVEN BETTER! Location is so elegant and clean !! Super important go to a cheap nail shop and guess what u get a cheap service... NOT HERE yess u pay the price and you get every penny worth including a complimentary mimosa! BOOK NOw! Today my mother and I had a lovely pedicure at Yvonne's. My friend suggested this salon and I was impressed! The salon itself is very clean, and felt so relaxing. When I arrived, I was seated right away and melted in their amazing massage chairs while offered a complimentary mimosa and a bottle of water. Outstanding customer service. Yvonne helped me, and I had the basic pedicure ($27) and had a French tip design (+$5). The hot stone massage was a nice treat, and I was surprised it was included in their regular pedicure. She wasn't available so Vivian took me in. My experience here was pretty alright minus Vivian getting annoyed of my fingers tensing up every second lol. I really just like how my nails turned out. I paid $52 for this new set. Damn near an arm and a leg to get some nails done in here. When I got home my nail chipped and I came in later to get it fixed with no issues! The receptionist, a nice professional girl, offered me a beverage & took down my name. She introduced herself, apologized that a few girls were running late so there was a wait. - Omg, ladies. THE COLOR SELECTION! Literally planned out the next few months of nails... So many to pick. I have been looking for a nail shop for a long time as my normal person moved away and since then I've been to about six different nail shops I'm not super picky on the fancy stuff but I am super picky on the shape and the length and time spent there as my life is a little busy so I was referred to Yvonne's nails in Fremont on Mowry and I was with Jennifer and I must say she was absolutely awesome!! Jennifer understood exactly what I wanted I showed her a picture and the color and she knew exactly the number of the color! I sat with a mimosa in one hand as she worked on the other. Friendly conversation I think I found my new nail lady! She's been doing nails for many years she's quick but to where she don't pay attention to detail. Sadly, today was peobably the last tome I will visit Yvonne's. I showed up at 4:30, my mom at 4:45, which is roughly when we got taken to the pedi chairs. Pedicures went well, and our colors were picked. My nail artist did a decent job and my only complaint was that I had to tell her twice to cut my pinky toes. However, she randomly gets up and another nail artist said I needed to move to get my nails done somewhat abruptly. My Pedi took 30-45 minutes like usual. However, I didnt leave until 7:15pm... 3.5 hours later because my gel manicure took over 2 hours and I a new artis who didn't seem to know how to complete a gel mani. Both my pinky fingers were bleeding, my gel mani had bubbles, the paint was all over, and when I told the manager she just said I'm sorry but you still have to pay for at least half of the gel mani. My nails looked horrible. She was like if you give me ten more minutes another manicurist can fix it. The gel was all over so therefore it wouldn't last and I had no choice. Another nail artist filed off my nails, re-did the gel but there was still paint all over my fingers. She barely fixed the gel that was over the skin line so they probably will last 1.5 weeks tops rather than 3. The whole time my nails were being done different nail artists kept coming by to "see the show" that was my nails. My college graduation is this week, and I just wanted a relaxing time to feel pampered and enjoy a manicure. Wasn't the case and sadly, won't go back due to the lack of concern from the artists, manager, and care of Yvonne's nails. read more

I came here for a quick pedicure by my work and the place was quite busy. Good thing was I didn't have to wait long but the bad thing is the job was pretty bad. I paid $27 and I expected them to scrub my feet. Well, there was no scrubbing whatsoever so now I have to do it myself when I get home. Such a waste of money. read more

My favorites are Lena, Tyra or Trisha. They have so many color choices to choose from and endless designs. You can show them any picture you find online and they can almost always duplicate it! I can't say how much I LOVE the new location! Love when it's nice outside and the doors are left open so there's a fantastic breeze flowing through the place, keeping the air nice and fresh. Having some of my favourite gals here helps, I always try to make appointments with Tyra or get set up with Jen or Crystal on a walk-in. They are all my go-to gals! The only real downside is the parking. There's definitely more available by the BevMo in the shopping centre there, otherwise parking right at the place is difficult, ESPECIALLY if it's a Saturday. Sundays tend to ease up since Chick-fil-A is closed. Other than parking issues I've never had much of a wait on a walk-in, not more than 20-30 minutes maximum even when it's super busy. As long as I live in the area I will stay loyal to Yvonne's and this location for convenience. read more

Okay, this place is horrible. I made an appointment using their online system. I was assigned someone by the name of Helen. My 5:00 p.m. appointment was supposed to be a pedicure. My 5:45 p.m was supposed to be for a new aryclic set. My acrylic set was first and I explained to Helen that my second appointment was also with her. She acknowledged that but near the end of finishing up my nails, one of her coworkers instructed her to change the nail color of someone who had just walked in. I advised her that I had an appointment with her for a pedicure. She told me that as soon as a chair became available that I would be seated. It is now 5:55p.m. I am in a chair, but no Helen, she's still working on the color change. At that point I complained to the manager or who ever she was and she told me that Helen did not know she was supposed to do my pedicure. Really? I booked the appointment online that assigned my pedicure to Helen. I also advised her that my pedicure was also with her. So that excuse was weak and a definite lie. I would give this establishment a zero if I could. Maybe it is just how they treat people of color. I guess the search continues. That's why it is good to support Black owned businesses. I have been searching for a new nail spot for a few years now due to inconsistency and general lack of customer service in most nail salons in Hayward & Union City. So happy to have found this gem thanks to a friends' recommendation. Lena did my nails & pedi today and she was very quick but also veryyyy detail oriented- she filed under the acrylic (a lot of techs skip this part and it really bothers me) and made sure my cuticles looked clean! What I'm most happy and impressed about is the almond shape she achieved- it's flawless and I've never been so satisfied with my nails' shape before (I'm a little bit of a stickler) They are exactly like the picture I showed her. One woman who sat beside me also showed me her coffin- shaped nails and they were GORGEOUS; those were done by Holly she says. Make sure you do not have anything planned after your appointment for about 2 hours because they will take up all your time. The pros: I was able to call in on the same day and get a simple mani and simple pedi appointment. They have a spacious nail salon. The cons: The awful chemical smell and lack of ventilation to get that potentially cancer causing odor out. I asked for a simple mani and simple pedi with no nail polish. The technician charged me an additional $10 to buff to a shine. I have never had this happen in any salon. $52.03 dollars for a simple mani and simple pedi with no nail polish. She may have given herself a $10 tip on buffing out my nails but I can guarantee that she has lost any future business from me as well as many others reading this post. read more

Not impressed anymore. I used to come here when it first opened and loved the service, but since moving away, I haven't been here for almost a year or so. Since I was in town, I decided to get a pedicure and fill. The lady that did my pedi literally only scrubbed my heels for 17 seconds. I'm a person who has dry heels, not too bad, but dry enough for me to get a pedi so I could get my heels scrubbed. I asked the lady if she could scrub more l and she told me she already did. Honestly, I'm not coming back. If you are to visit this nail salon, you'll get really good treatment if you choose the high deluxe packages. I believe you'll get an extra 13 seconds of scrubbing for $40+. read more

Twice I've gotten gel manicures (shellac?) and both times in less than 2 weeks I've had chips and even Polish lifting.
