I called looking for someone willing to travel out to Hauula to repair an ice maker. I gave the person who answered the phone the exact address, and was told that they do service that area. That there would be an 89.00 diagnostic fee, which I agreed to. I drove 45 minute to get to the unit in Hauula, and received a text from YZ that the fee would now be 169.00 because of the distance. They sent this 10 minutes before the start of the scheduled appointment, 8 to 10. And what frustrated me even more, they wanted the money paid upfront, before theyd send anyone out. I talked to the owner of the unit who was willing to pay the increased amount.But when I informed her of the upfront payment, she agreed, something doesnt sound right Shes had multiple repairs done in the past, by reputable servicemen, and has never had to pay the fee upfront. The repair person was very new to the job and was on his phone the entire time trying to figure out what the problem was with our icemaker. it made feel very unconfident in his repair estimate and decided to just buy a new frig instead of paying $500 what he thought the problem was. They were able to fix my washer easily. Just felt like i overpaid for what was a simple spring change. I get, however, that quality work takes time to develop and you can't put a price on that. Also I was expecting to see a company car or some sort but the strong accented worker came to my house in a beat up car and didn't really take the time to hear out my concerns. Just did the job, made sure the washer works (which was most important) and just left. Whew! I don't know about anyone else but for me an appliance that isn't functioning properly sounds to me to like trouble. Our dishwasher was working but would being flashing all white lights and I wouldn't be able to do anything without completely shutting off the power and then turning it back on to reset. Then it would work fine for a couple of cycles then have the same issue. So I go to Yelp and find Yz Pro. Their response time was the quickest and most efficient of all the companies I reached out to. They came out as soon as I was available and within their window time frame. He checked it and let me know what we may need to replace and the chances that may not be the complete fix. No fluff just straight to the point. I appreciated their straightforward approach. I took a few days to decide if I wanted to go through with the replacement. As soon as I confirmed I only waited a few days for the part to come in and they scheduled me right away for my next availability. The tech came again within the window time frame and switched it out super fast. My dishwasher has been working great ever since. I inquired for repair of my dryer. They responded immediately and provided a quote followed by an offer to provide a more thorough consultation. I was told repairman was available in the afternoon and that they'd call sooner if he had earlier openings or changes to his schedule. They called back shortly later to let me know he could arrive within 30 mins. He arrived and was friendly and immediately got to work. Our washer broke on 10/20. The lid would not open, and a load was stuck inside. As recommended by our contractor, on 10/21 I called Budget Appliance Repair and was quoted a $95 consultation fee with the earliest appointment availability on 11/04/24. On 10/22, I found YzPro on Yelp and contacted them in the morning. 45 minutes later I got an appointment for 1:00 pm the same day. The repair technician was very professional and less than 30 minutes later our washer was fixed. Very disappointed! Called Yz Pro for washer unbalanced repair. Very responsive and was able to accommodate me that day. My issue is we're paying a diagnostic fee for you to diagnose the problem correctly? I informed service tech I've changed springs about 1 month ago and it was still unbalanced. Ive made sure it was level and everything I possibly could do, to correct before calling someone to do it. Service tech takes 5 mins and tells me it's the springs. I say are you sure? I just changed them but ok. maybe he knows something I don't shoot's that's why I called them. He changes springs and runs a wash without recalibrating it. Didn't know how to recalibrate it. But charged me $300 for this. left before washer even hit the spin cycle in which it still was unbalanced. I called Eugene and he got in touch with the tech. The techs response was buy a new washer!! this kinda service is deplorable I'm sorry. $300 and that's the response I get? that's almost a new washer. Quick response and excellent service. Scheduling the service was easy through Yelp, the technician called in advanced, and arrived within the scheduled period. He was very knowledgeable in troubleshooting the issue with our dryer and providing an explanation of the issue. Thankfully the issue wasn't major that would have required the ordering of unique and technical parts. The technician had all of the necessary parts to complete the job. Disassembly, troubleshooting, and reassembly took just over an hour. Just $267 and a little over an hour, the dryer was back to working drying our clothes with no issues.
