Replaced the hose and waited around to check for any leaks or other problems, but all was good! This guy so professional and we must have spoke for an hour about family and business. After a few exchanges of information about the issue and sending pictures to verify the model and serial number, set the appointment. I was given a few quotes based off of the initial diagnosis to help me prepare. On the scheduled appointment day, I got a heads up text he was on the way. When Andy (owner) arrived he was friendly and got started on the job. He was able to diagnose the issue and checked to confirm it by ruling out other issues. Our refrigerator stopped working properly the day before Thanksgiving. I immediately started browsing the repair businesses on Yelp and found this company. We waited until the day after thanksgiving to text the number and fortunately Andy responded and said he could stop by that morning since he was relatively nearby. He instructed us to shut off the unit and allow it to completely defrost because the ice build-up in the freezer was preventing him from accessing the area that was most likely causing the breakdown. He said he could come back on Monday afternoon with the part, and he came as promised, and our refrigerator/freezer was up and running by the next morning (it takes hours for the unit to reach proper temps). Backstory: I have a built-in refrigerator. If you don't know what that is, let me explain. It's a fridge that most appliance guys don't want to touch. And it's on the 2nd floor of my townhouse surrounded by custom built cabinets (bought it like that - not my doing). Because of that and the current price & wait for appliance I was not interested in replacing it unless completely necessary. Preface: I had already had 3 appliance guys tell me no and direct me to the manufacturer's official service provider - a mainland company that charged me $150 to book the appt. Long story short, I got ripped off $350 from the guy who said he would come back on his own time and fix it. He never came back. I was so mad it took me months to search for more help. Finally after months of blow drying my freezer every 2 days and ruining my flooring, I got up enough energy to deal with another appliance person, I asked for a general quote on Yelp. 2 guys answered. Yup, 2. Andy was the first to answer and had glowing reviews to boot. It took a little follow up on my part but Andy came out and in a few hours, after months of struggle, it was fixed with the minimal repair. Andy made sure he did the least and said we would build from there if needed. Meaning if the first minor fix didn't work, he would go to a more complex (aka expensive) fix after that to avoid unnecessary charges. He even delayed invoicing me in case he had to come back and do more. 2 weeks later, my fridge is still working perfectly. No additional fixes needed! I'm so happy I found my new appliance guy! Andy is the man! My refrigerator's ice maker stopped working and it became noticeably louder when the compressor came on. Other than that, it seemed like everything was okay. I gave Andy a call. He wasn't able to speak at the moment, but texted me back. Over the course of a day or so, he gave me different ideas to troubleshoot the problems myself. Those didn't work, and I noticed my refrigerator was getting warmer even though the freezer seemed to be working fine. I sent him some pictures and videos, and he said that it would likely need some replacement parts. After checking, he told me that the manufacturer stopped making parts for my fridge. I asked him to come take a look anyway since I wanted to confirm I needed to buy a new fridge. He shifted around his schedule and was able to come two days later. By this point, my fridge was completely warm inside and there was frost buildup in my freezer. Andy took one look and told me that, unfortunately, I would need to buy a new one. Because the manufacturer (Kenmore) stopped making parts, there was no way he could fix it. He gave me some new refrigerator recommendations before leaving. I offered to pay him or at least give him some gas money for driving all the way out to the west side, but he refused and told me to put the money towards the new fridge. I highly, highly recommend Andy and A/C & Appliance! Of course, you find our your dryer isn't working after you've already done one, maybe two loads of laundry, on a holiday no less! I reached out via Yelp to a handful of business around 7 pm on 4th of July and first thing the next morning Andy responded. He came out that same day to check it out! Unfortunately we had to wait about a week for the part to come in, but Andy was great at communicating, keeping me updated on the part order and status. They responded quickly and gave me a quote on both the part and repair work. Andy showed up to my condo on time, and was extremely professional. Andy was responsive in communicating via Yelp messaging and text. Got a great quote and placed an order for the parts on the spot after he looked over my washer. After 5 days of waiting for the parts to arrive, I got confirmation of the parts received and set a time for him to make the repairs. When he arrived, he showed me the parts packaging which was new/unopened, and the actual manufacturer part for the machine; I visually confirmed. Once the repair was done, Andy started the machine and monitored it through the majority of the cycle to make sure it was operating smoothly and have no other issues. My experience with his company was awesome. The owner/technician called when he was on his way to my house, and when he arrived he was very courteous and professional. My washing machine was making a clicking noise and would not work. He troubleshot the washer and concluded there was a relay in the computer board that was stuck or malfunctioning. He was totally honest with me about the availability of the parts and the exorbitant cost of computer parts for appliances. I felt totally confident with his knowledge and honesty. Broken Kenmore washer. Called A/C in desperation after Sears warranty charged us $109, then canceled two appointments over 7 days at the last minute - no refund. Sears has no human contact phone support - only a robo exchange repeating "We are very sorry." $50 a month for WHAT? - An automated machine generated apology with no solutions offered. No wonder Sears is going out of business. A/C immediately messaged me back in the afternoon, (first response out of three vendors) and arrived at my house the next morning at 8:30! NO excuses, no apologies, and no need for any. Fast, professional, experienced and a rapid, spot-on diagnosis with pix which took less than an hour. VERY, very reasonable rates ! I am going to recommend Andy to all my friends and family for appliance repair. He did an excellent job repairing my refrigerator with a great price. I initially called someone from Sears a year earlier regrading my ice maker and he apprised me that I probably need to get a new refrigerator. I kept my refrigerator without using the ice maker working as it was only 6 years old. This time something was wrong with our refrigerator so my wife found Andy by reading the great reviews. Andy set up a diagnostic appointment for the next day. He was on time, which is something very important to me. Andy is very professional and keeps you informed of what the problem, in this case it was the oven igniter controller.
