The owner, Peter, is an absolutely wonderful host! We came for a midnight snack and he was so gracious and welcoming. He was thrilled when he learned we were locals. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his burgers. He warmly invited us to dine in instead of taking carry out. He told us a lot about the history of the area. And he gave us a bottle of water. The burgers and fries were definitely yummy. The old bay fries were perfectly seasoned and salty. The burger was z style and nicely prepared. The portions were generous. You see a lot of AU students coming in at night which is expected but it was a great place. I would love to come back.

Been here multiple times and have always had a good experience! The food is good and love all of the multiple options. Usually I get overwhelmed by so many choices but at a place like this and with the great service that you get, it makes it a lot easier. I've had the burgers, chicken burgers, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, LMAO almost a little of everything haha. I still haven't been able to try the shakes though. It reminds me of Cookout (if you're from the south). Of course be aware you're not coming here for something (necessarily) HEALTHY but you're coming here for something GOOD. Great fast food in Tenleytown~ I particularly love the photo collage of the staff on the wall. It warms up the environment. Also there's plenty of spaces to sit, even outdoors. Again, the service is what makes this place extra awesome. And I know they support the community in various ways too so support them back!

Always such friendly kind service!! This is seriously my favorite burger place ever. I'm a very picky eater so take it from me if you just want to grab a bite and get excellent service this is your place. They also offer vegan, doubles, turkey and chicken sandwiches.Grab a milkshake and enjoy. By the way it's extremely clean.

Worst burgers with burnt fries and over recooked onions rings, I/We ever ate! The mint shake had mint flavor passed over the blender. Z Burger was a "No,No Don't Do It!" We took one for our generations..don't,don't, do it!!! Why charge a package fee, $2.28 and this was a dine-in "almost regurge-a-meal?"

One of if not the best burger around town. service was excellent. The owner Peter was very nice and very welcoming he even gave myself my daughter and her friend a free milkshake. He didn't have to do that but glad he did. Now the burger and fries were delicious and so was the milkshake. Peter thank you for a very pleasant meal and a nice atmosphere. will definitely be back. Also they had a carotid juice drinks that were different and Dee-licious!!!!!!!!

Met up with the crew for a burger like brunch at Z-Burger and let's just say we all left with a food coma. No, they do not offer a brunch but it was breakfast/lunch time when we all arrived so we dubbed it a Burger Brunch!! A hungry bunch we are, we tried a little bit of everything from the menu!! These are in no way you average burger, either and if you are a one patty wonder, come and elevate you burger bite!! The patties on the burgers are fresh and made with care. Juicy and tender sirloin meat that will have you doing a double take, all for good reasons. Toppings are fresh and plentiful and actually match the size of the burgers. If you are not big on bread, you can get a bun-less burger as well, all you gotta do is ask! The fries are amazing!!!!! Double fried so wen you break it in half you hear the snap yet it is still a pillowy potato on the inside. Dip them in the Z sauce and you are in business. Literally, you can put the Z sauce on dang near anything and your taste buds will thank you!! Take the onion rings for a spin as well because they are satisfying as well. Did I tel you how crispy the chicken sammie is? With or without bacon, your choice of course, you have never had a chicken sammie like this!! The flavor is pure!! Not too much crispy exterior, juicy and tender meat interior and just down right yummy!!! The chicken is actual chicken breast, no thighs here at all!! If you love a cheesesteak, come and get it here!! Whether its steak of chicken you will not be disappointed!!! Fully loaded and fantastic you will find that you are full yet you continue to eat because the food is just that good!! You need a drink now right? You need a milkshake!!! With quite a few flavors to chose from they are sure to have one that catches your eye. Do not fret, the shakes are thick so they do not melt easily. The staff is the best!! Peter went out of his way to ensure our large party was taken care of and to make sure we had everything we needed during out stomach filling session. Luckily, they have a lot of space at this location so you are able to find somewhere to sit even when they are busy between the indoor and outdoor seating. If you are looking for a good burger, look no further and do it the Z way!!!

Server came by, not so much as a greeting or introduction, just a short, "do you know what you want?" Fine - no problem. We ordered two avocado toasts and side of fries to share. Now, the menu clearly says the avocado toasts are served with a "runny egg". Ok sure, no problem. What i did not anticipate was a half raw egg with the yolk swimming in a sea of translucent completely uncooked "whites". It was like a golden disc encased in a snot rocket. Ok, maybe that's their "runny". Slide it off the toast and press on - snail trail of mucus be damned. The avocado spread was great - bright, citrusy, and well seasoned. The "hot sauce" was likely from a bottle and could have been left off. The radishes would have benefitted from being tossed in lemon, salt and pepper. The image of the "runny" egg was too much so I ate half the toast serving and meandered to the fries. Not bad, crispy , hot, and...wait...sweet...something is off, I can't put my finger on it but at least it's not a raw egg. I keep eating. My kids looks at me and says, "do these remind you of funnel cake?" THAT'S IT - FUNNEL CAKE. We have both had enough, ask for the check. The server comes by gives me the clunky machine, I tap and put it down, he reaches for it and I say, it's processing, I still have to sign...and then he starts snapping his fingers...WHAT IN THE ACTUAL €¥($ ARE WE DOING RIGHT NOW?!? Never again. Never, again.

It was really not at all what I was expecting, especially considering the chicken was remarkably dry, bland (I only noticed salt and pepper), and pan-seared/grilled instead of cooked on a spit. This would probably rank among the worst shawarmas I've ever had in DC. My partner got the greek salad with chicken added, which was also not at all to her liking. It had spinach, white onion (why not red??), cherry tomatoes, and minimal feta. It really wasn't a proper greek salad like she was hoping for. On top of all of this, this place was not cheap. The shawarma pita and greek salad with chicken totaled nearly $30. The workers were kind, and the inside had a hole-in-the-wall feel, which I normally expect when going to good greek/mediterranean delis, but the food quality was just so bad. We stopped by for lunch after walking around in Rock Creek Park on a weekend and found the place quite packed. Didn't know what the ordering system was at first - they have two staff at the bar but no waitstaff since you are supposed to order either at their station by the entrance or scan a QR code and seat yourself. Being a Biergarten they have a long list of beers which is great for those who like to try different brews. We had a cheeseburger, chicken tenders and tater tots. Forgot to order beer online but the bartender was very helpful so ended up getting it at the bar (I guess if you don't want to order online you can always order there). Anyway you take a number and food came out in about 10 minutes. Everything was quite tasty, and the chicken tenders has generous portions - I packed most of it home and made two more meals out of it! The restaurant is on the west side of the street so come summer it would be nice in the afternoons to be shaded outdoors. Right now still a bit too windy and cold which is too bad as they have a lot of outdoor seating some covered off a wide sidewalk. But indoors is pretty nice too, well decorated with many high tables and some booth plus regular tables. Nice ambience, not too crowded but plenty of people around. Given the beer selection will definitely be back again soon.

The space is great, with a nice mix of tables, bar seating, and outdoor spots. Even the bar has an inside and outside counter. The beer list is impressive, 24 drafts of every style. We had an Oliver B'more Breakfast stout and Port City porter, and both satisfied. Plenty of seltzers and cocktails on the menu, too. We came during a world cup match, and the space was packed full of people cheering along, which was fun. The food, full of burgers, sliders, tots, tot-chos, etc, is good for a chain. The fried pickle chips are quite good and came out super quick. At their other locations, the sliders, especially the holy aioli, are a fave. There were two downsides. Around 6:30 pm in June, the space was painfully sunny. Even inside about half the seats were in direct sunlight with no barrier of any kind. Sitting at the bar was blinding. I can't imagine how bad it must have been outside, and we saw a couple tables mid-meal move from outside to in. The wall facing the sun is floor to ceiling windows with no shade of any kind, and the outside has no canopy or coverage. This is a problem that can pretty easily be solved with shades and umbrellas/an awning. Be careful what time of day you visit. Second, despite advertising the happy hour on every table, and the bartender we asked saying we would get the deal through their app (which you must use to order, it is via QR code or a central kiosk by the entrance), there was no deal reflected when we checked out. When we asked he said he could update our check manually, but after he did that, the discount was only one third the advertised discount. With the price still wrong, we had to complain yet again, and even then it was still not right. The whole experience was very annoying, and it seems like no one actually received happy hour pricing unless they noticed and complained. The whole thing felt very sketchy.
