I got 2 services from here. One was for a stolen CAT replacement. That went fine. The other one was for an oil leak. That didn't go well. They asked me to first get an engine cleaning. They said either I can wait for the end of day , or get it done from outside. I took it to them near the end of day but they closed shop early. I didn't want to wait another whole day just to get the engine cleaned, so I found someone else to clean the engine bay. Next day they took the car in in the morning. Then later they called me in and said they still can't figure out the leak and need more cleaning, and I will have to pay separately for the cleaning. Mind you I already paid for the diagnosis. I said ok I will pay the difference between just diagnosis and diagnosis with cleaning, but they didn't agree and wanted to charge separately for diagnosis with cleaning again. I gave it up and took it to another workshop, who diagnosed and fixed the leak, they didn't ask to charge separately for diagnosis, neither cleaning. I gave them 2 stars because of the CAT replacement job. But I wouldn't go there for other problems like oil leak etc. read more

As someone who had been coming to these guys for almost 10 years, I'm sorry to say that I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on. $130 for a synthetic oil change, not including an air filter change, I guarantee you can do better at Pep Boys or any other mainstream auto shop. Being a long time customer means nothing to them and they will take advantage of you if they see an opportunity. Edit: You may ask why I would go to a place for so long that provides such service. I did enjoy the work and value that these guys provided for years but had become disappointed after a visit where they charged me $200 to reset a faulty smog sensor. I still could not pass the smog exam after this visit. To sum it up, I came back to give them another chance and was sorely disappointed. You're better off seeking services elsewhere unless you want to run the risk of shoddy service at a premium price. read more

I am upset on this job. A while ago I had Z Performance install my BC Racing coil-overs. At that time... they said they had a hard time adjusting the height. Well now I needed to install the front struts due to the fact they were "clunking". I was stunned to find out they had messed with the preload adjustment. Instead of it being set near 1/8' (4mm) from BC Racing (BC racing states do not mess with preload unless you know why you are), they had it at 3/4"!!! No wonder the front end always felt stiff. I wonder if this is why the struts failed... Obviously Z Performance knows nothing about installing or adjusting coil-overs. They messed with the preload to try to adjust height??? The height is a fairly simple adjustment. They used to be a fairly reliable shop. read more

Service provided: Catalytic Converter replacement Outcome: wrong part installed Check engine light comes on, I take it back after some time. Argues about it being the right part (Santiago, not Javier the owner), turns out it gets replaced by warranty and I have an OEM on now! Thankful for the warranty. Service requested: replace spark plugs Outcome: paid for 4 spark plugs, 0 new ones installed. How do I know? Went right to another mechanic to get my cylinder worked on, opens everything up in front of me and shows me the old parts. Called Javier, said everything was done and that he has pictures. Don't know what the angle is here, or who messed up, just know it wasn't me. Clearly Santiago and Javier aren't communicating properly. I'm a teacher and don't have time to figure out which one is lying, but long story short, something went wrong and they seem to believe it's my fault. I came in for a simple oil change. Being that I'm young they automatically assumed I didn't know or keep up with my car. This shop had told me there was oil in my fluid chamber. This shocked me because they had lied and told me wherever I was having this done dumped the oil in there and was in a rush. Javier is an artist when it comes to fabricating extremely complex bends around a custom off-road truck. I couldn't be more impressed with how clean the whole system came out. He even cut and welded a brand new flange on the header to insure that it would be 100% sealed. These guys hooked me up with an amazing exhaust on my 460 Big Block in my 97' Ford. She sounds like a boat with a Cam now.

Exhaust hanger broke off on my muffler and I brought it here to have it welded back on. Paid 90 for a 15min weld job that would have cost half as much or less at other shops, and they tried to sell me on adding another small hanger for a total of 145. I ended up passing on that and going to a different shop near home to have a support welded onto the muffler for only 20. read more

Great place for exhaust! Javier aligned and adjust my new catback exhaust, welded on tips that another shop said wouldn't fit because of a 0.25 inch difference inlet size. Welded on on HD hangers so my nice exhaust won't flop around on the road! Cost was on the higher end, but I guess you get what you pay for! read more

Came here Saturday morning and was instantly attended and greeted in a friendly and respectful manner. I came to ask about an installation on Dual Pypes Catback exhaust system with an X-Pipe I had purchased online. I drove my 14' Dodge Charger to the front as requested so they could look at it and quote me. Extremely reasonable and fair price and I was happy with the amount. They immediately put it on the lift and went to work on it. The wait time was very quick, from the moment I got there to driving off the lot myself, loving the sound of my new catback and getting compliments by some of the employees took less than an hour and a half! Which also seemed even less due to the lounge room they have with a big TV playing some netflix and drink machine (There is also some magazines if you're more of a reader.) A lot of seating area inside and a table to relax while they work on your car. Every single person I talked to was friendly and made sure to let me know any details as installation went on to make sure I was satisfied. Even after everything was said and done they asked about my old gear and I told them I would keep it but since I didn't have a truck with me they would kindly hold it so I can come back! This spoke volumes with me in terms of customer care, and I greatly appreciated it.
