Zachery's a deep dish pizzeria. Never heard of the brand until they came to Livermore. Apparently they have been serving the bay since 1983. They check off all the things you expect/want from a deep dish pizza. Nice cheese pull, good crust, and a deep rich red tomato sauce on top. The sauce is good enough on its own that you go out of your way to make sure to eat the tomato's that falls off the slice. We ordered the Zachary's special so add Italian sausage, mushroom, green peppers, and onions as a part of the ingredient list. We ordered it via online and it was ready in 40 minutes. Staff were super friendly and responsive. Gave us ample plates, crushed red peppers, and Parmesan cheese. They have seating outside on the patio. Plenty of tables and chairs. We saw this as we walked outside and walked around the corner, we sat our selves and even though we weren't officially dining in (sat by a host/hostess) a staff member attended to us to ask if we needed anything. (Sorry y'all if that wasn't ok to begin with). Cool area outside on a mid summer day. They have some street performers you can listen to perform while outside. Pizza was great, definitely will come back if we need have a deep dish fix. read more

Located Downtown Livermore is the New Zachary's! Street parking. This restaurant has tons of seating inside and out. Ordered the Chicago Deep Dish Cheese Pizza and it was beautiful. Crispy, buttery crust. The fresh chunky tomato sauce on top, seasoned and cooked to perfection. And the gooey cheese in the middle bringing in that great cheese pull! *The only problem is the service was horrendous! Were only checked in on once and took them forever to get boxes. I have never had Chicago deep dish type pizza so I was pumped to know this place opened up. The inside is cool , they have sports playing the tvs and they have a cool little bar are for drinks. We ordered the deep dish and were told it will take 30mins to make, we said sure. It didn't seem too busy yet but as time went on it did get busier. We waited for maybe 45mins, super hungry, waiting for our server. Food finally came and it is pipping hot. The server cuts the first slice and we finally get to try it. Delicious. I don't think this is my favorite type of pizza but still glad I tried it. We didn't get to finish the whole thing but I ate it the next day and it was still pretty good after reheating. My only gripe here is the service. After we got our food we didn't see our server again and it was very difficult to get someone to help us get our check so we can get going. Last weekend my dad suggested pizza for our family lunch and I was so glad that I knew that Zachary's is now open! First off, I really love the colorful decor. It gives off happy vibes. And I'm thrilled that the enormous ceiling fan is still there! The service was fine. Nothing wonderful or egregious to report. The food! I took control of ordering because my family was thinking at a glacial pace. I chose the arugula salad for all of us to share and it was very tasty. The only annoying thing about arugula is it's very difficult to stab with your fork. My dad didn't have an issue though (surprise). For the pizza I ordered the stuffed Zachary's Special (Italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, Mozzarella and ONIONS). The reason the word onions is in all caps is because in my slice I got A LOT of them. I love onions. Unfortunately they were raw. I don't know how you can bake a pizza for maybe 30 minutes and have the onions be raw. My suggestion, and I am absolutely not a chef, is to maybe sauté them for a little bit before they go in the pizza. They were so pungent that when I got home, my son asked if I was eating onions. I tasted them all day. Otherwise the pizza was delicious. My family was only able to eat half of the pizza because it's so massive so my dad let me have the other half to go. My friends and I were craving some deep dish pizza so we opted to try this place out. Service was good about checking up on us even though the food wasn't ready for a while. Though that was expected since deep dish takes a while to make. Once we got our food, it was VERY filling. I am one to eat all of the food on my plate and I was extremely full after eating two slices of this. Even a large shared among three people will result in leftovers for home. 4.5 stars, rounding up. Zachary's has a soft opening this week, but they know what they're doing, so there were almost no rough edges. We had at least three different people helping us at some point, so good teamwork there. The Wife and I were regulars at the Pizzaria Uno in Philly many years ago, so this was like memory lane. We always got the same thing then, and we got it again at Zachary's - a small stuffed cheese and tomato. Small, but with two salads, plenty of food, and two pieces (out of six) to take home. Oh, so good. I added oregano and crushed red pepper, which are on every table along with Parmesan. I had a Caesar salad, which was quite good. The croutons are tasty but huge, and I would have likes the option for anchovies, but the lettuce was actually deep green. The Wife had the spinach salad, which is kinda hard to find around here. Balsamic vinaigrette, hold the bacon. Sine Zachary's is a Chicago style pizza place, they actually have Jeppson's malört on the drink menu. IYKYK. The other cocktails sounded tasty, mostly standards with some kind of flavor twist. I also had a glass of Wente red blend. Because I did a reminder to bring the wine, they gave me a discount on it, which wasn't necessary, but nice. The interior is bright and fun with all the customized prints. Just as good as I remember. It is soo great to see Zachary's in Livermore, as the San Ramon location has been gone for some time. I could eat an entire small stuffed baked chicken pizza alone! The sweetness of the basil, perfectly seasoned marinara, mushrooms, garlic, everything is delicious. Its a great vibe in here with a beautiful bar; brick interior. Its a place that can serve both fam nights and friend night out! Highly recommend and will def be back for more of this bay area staple. read more

The crust to fixings ratio was right on. Now this style of pizza is really a pizza pie. We also had the spinach salad with champagne vinaigrette. It was good and came with croutons, red onion, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese $8.75. A single serving was big enough to share with two people. This place is four months old. Very clean nicely decorated and good size for a gathering. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good they checked on us often and even told us our pizza will be done in ten minutes. When we ordered it they told us it takes 30-40 minutes to bake a fresh deep dish pizza. We would come back again. Cons: Parking is tight. We were excited to try out this Zachary's location in Livermore, the pizzas were very comparable to their location on college ave in Oakland. However the meatball order in Livermore was a sad situation. I personally like the focaccia bread that the Oakland location pairs up with the meat ball's. The Livermore location pairs it up with a measly dry bread. The meatballs are also made the smaller side. Not a dish I will be reordering at this location. Overall I recommend their pizzas those are made well. Happy to have another Zachary's location closer to the Central Valley. read more

I'm not a huge fan of deep dish pizza, but the pizza was good. I really liked the salads. I could've had the Caesar and spinach salads only and would have been very happy. Pizza was REALLY Great, ordered CARNIE deep dish, thin crust, 11" in diameter; it turned out to be about 1 1/2" thick = DELICIOUS This pizza was enough for at least 3 persons, 2 slices each person. We arrived late-ish on Saturday night after a long day competing in SF. We were promptly seated and water served. The dining area was clean and had an open feel. Our crew was hungry so we ordered a few thick crust pizzas - bbq chicken, veggie, and pepperoni. We also ordered a kids and gluten free pizza. Very accommodating menu!! We asked for the kids pizza to come out first which it did. We were informed the thick crust would take 35-40 min to make. It did seem like a took a while before our pizzas came out but that might have been because we were so hungry that it felt like a long time. The pizzas came out piping hot and very rich!! This was my first time having Zachary's deep dish so I could barely eat an entire slice. I wanted to try all three so I ate a little of each and I was completely full. We tried a thin crust pizza a few months ago, and weren't impressed. The crust was as dry as a cracker, and the toppings were sparse. We decided to give Zachary's another try and ordered a stuffed-crust Zachary's Special. Although it was better, we were still not impressed. It was topped with an abundance of tomatoes, which concealed the fact that there wasn't much protein underneath. Again, the crust was overly dry. The cheese level was adequate. Enjoyed our time at Zachary's this weekend - we had a medium sized deep dish with a Cesar salad and it was plenty of food for the two of us. Service was amazing as well. Just remember the deep dishes take 45mins to make so don't come too hungry! We had a mid-week work group lunch at Zachary's. The staff was very accommodating of our large group, even taking a change in reservation time in stride. We were able to order some deep-dish pies ahead of time so that they were fresh and ready for us right when we arrived for our reserved time. And when it turned out that many of our group arrived about 15 minutes after the reserved time, the staff kept the pies in a warmer so they'd be nice and warm for when the full group was finally there. Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive and at the ready. I especially enjoyed how one of the staff members served an initial piece to each of us in the group. It felt special (and her cheese-cutting skills were on-point!). At one point, a gentleman walked over to our group to see how we were faring. After some chit-chat, he revealed that he was Zachary himself! He'd opened his first Zachary's deep-dish restaurant back in the 80's and it's grown since then. That was a fun surprise! We had a good amount of leftovers to take away at the end of the meal. The staff packaged them for us and sensitively packaged the veggie pizzas separately from the meat pizzas. Food was very delicious! They have only been open for 2 weeks and we enjoy the Pleasanton store so we tried out the Livermore location. The staff is very nice but you can tell they're still working out the kinks in getting set up which is understandable. 2 Pizzas ordered took about 1 hour or longer to get them. The staff was so busy we ordered drinks once cause it took awhile for them to bring them out wasn't a big deal but they should work on their service of course. All in all great food, but will wait awhile before going back. Saw multiple people waiting for the food, once they get it under wraps I'm sure it will be a great go to pizza spot. read more

Had an outstanding experience at Zachary's Chicago Pizza. Being from Detroit, I don't play around when it comes to good pizza--and this place delivered. The deep dish was absolutely dialed in. The crust was perfectly cooked with that ideal balance of crisp on the outside and soft, buttery texture on the inside.
