I called the owner the next day. He apologized but didn't follow up or show much concern, even after I mentioned we considered going to the hospital. I ordered the most basic of the sandwiches and it was great. Lots of meat, and sweet peppers. It was like eating a sloppy joe tho. I have ordered food from the Pleasanton location many, many times over the last few years and never had any issues with the quality or freshness of the food but tonight our sides of onion rings and garlic fries were of extremely poor quality. We ordered a large order of the onion rings and all of them were except for one of the rings were burned and almost blackened. Additionally, our order of garlic fries were way overcooked and extremely dry, which is not normal for Cheesesteak Shop. The sandwiches were fine. I am extremely upset that I paid good money for food that was subpar and almost inedible, and no longer trust getting anything other than the cheesesteak sandwiches from this location. I plan to contact their corporate office as well to provide feedback pertaining to my experience. My advice to this location is do better. I always order the curly fries because they do have a kick to it and with ketchup it is fantastic, no other fast food restaurant can match their curly fries.
