They will ask you about the project you're doing, and help find the right products and materials to fit the application of your work. Need to attach something to something else? They will guide you through the a-la-carte screws, nails, nuts, and bolts with expertness, making sure that the style, strength, and size of the hardware fits your project's needs. The prices for most items are competitive with big box stores-- items like PVC pipe, wood filler, and hardware are cheaper at Altadena Hardware in a side-by-side comparison to big box stores. If you purchase materials like wood or pipe, they can cut it for you for transport! The selection of paint, hardware, garden supplies, light bulbs, power tools, adhesives, and most other typical household hardware needs are excellent. Based on size, they don't stock as much lumber or appliances as big box stores. Very helpful -- they do cartridge exchange for Soda Stream!! And have many options of Soda Stream flavorings. They also sell local honey up at the cash register! Altadena Hardware is my first choice for hardware needs!

He helped to load our purchased stuff into the car. For example, the picture accompanying my review shows my beloved pup getting his picture taken with Santa Claus at Arnold's when they kindly and generously offered a Santa Claus for families to take photos even up to and through Christmas Eve. This is so generous of Arnold's because a lot of times that is a very expensive photo shoot for families. As you can see they had the set decorated super cute for Santa photos. I have always received good customer service, knowledgeable help. Sadly, today was not just lack of customer service, but when I attempted to ask an employee one simple question, I was ignored and the other employee said "he was busy with corporate!" There was another employee I attempted to ask for help, but he completely ignored me. There was another customer who also was trying to get help, but apparently he too was ignored because he raised his hands in the air and said, "I guess nobody can help!" I ended up picking up my items, and took back what I brought in to repair, and will need to get them done elsewhere, sadly. I realize, you can't get helped right away all of the time, and that is not my complain, but rather those who couldn't at least say "I'm sorry, we Will be with you in a moment " or just acknowledge my existence and not tell me "corporate" is more important!
