Really enjoyed the Ny style pizza at Zalat. Normally I'm not a huge fan of chain pizzas but Zalat does an excellent job of thin, foldable NY style pizza that's nearly impossible to find throughout the DFW area and Texas in general (minus notable spots like Fortunate son, etc.). The ratios on all the pizzas were just right and I especially enjoyed the candied bacon, salami, and hot honey speciality pizza.

My server was very knowledgeable on the menu explaining reds was with sauce and whites was with the sauce on top. Also that this pizza is reco'd to be eaten with fork & knife (which i was like dang it's going to be a floppy pizza but it wasn't) She recommended the Cane Rosso & Honey Bastard. We went with Che Cazzo. Che Cazzo was the perfect amount of spice & I would order it again. For Dessert we ordered the Tiramisu. In my opinion it was dry, a lot of mascarpone & not enough coffee flavor. At this moment i wouldn't get it again. They also have a Dog friendly Patio!

Fortunately, our group of 20 had made reservations prior to our visit. After looking over the menu, we chose the "RonI One." It had pepperoni, bacon marmalade, tomato sauce and house made Mozzarella. Sounds yummy! I was also intrigued with their speciality cocktail menu. They had me at the "Limoncello Margarita." What's not to love about.Limoncello? John T, our server, took excellent care of our group. After a short wait, salad, pies, and pasta started arriving at our table. Our Roni One was a wonderful mix of sweet and spicy. What a great pie! We'll definitely have to check out one of our local Cane Rosso's in the future.

Decided to stop in for a late lunch and try something different. I really do love the PIZZA here…read more However, I was a bit curious about the wings and Italian sandwich. It was a great chance to explore other menu options. The Italian sandwich is good. It was loaded with meat, black olives, onions, banana peppers, lettuce, tomato and a tasty creamy Italian sauce. I chose coleslaw as my side and it was pretty decent. The sandwich was fulfilling. I was definitely satisfied and would order this again. The wings were disappointing. I chose the mango habanero flavor. The wings were cooked well and the presentation looked amazing. The sauce was great, but it tasted like the chicken wasn't cooked with any seasoning. It was like bland chicken with sauce poured over it. A little salt and pepper goes a long way. The blue cheese dressing was yummy though. My waiter was AWESOME! He was friendly, helpful and polite. He provided great service and I enjoyed his pleasant presence. I came after the lunch rush. It was a bit untidy inside and as I was sitting there they were slowly cleaning up the dining area. I will cut them a little slack. Overall a good visit and I left feeling full and mostly happy. The Italian sandwich is a YES! The wings are a NO for me. It was a great experience to try something new.

Back then, everything was a la carte. I could order one or two slices and a drink. Now, they have a combo pricing: a slice, a salad, and a drink. The salad options are House or Caesar. I chose the Caesar salad. At first glance, it seemed like a decent portion. But when I looked closer, I realized it was just a single layer of lettuce. I found it easier to scoop the leaves with the fork tines than to spike it. I would have preferred saving a few dollars and skipping the salad altogether. On the positive side, the time I spent eating the salad would have been spent drinking the fountain soda. When the pepperoni slice arrived, a generous amount of my favorite Stubborn Agave Vanilla Cream Soda was still remaining in my cup. The pizza slice was just as big as before. Unlike typical New York-style pizza, the crust was brittle and cracked when I folded it. Also, the cooking process prevented grease from seeping onto the paper lining. As a result, the slice itself was a bit dry, which is not my preferred style.
