We initially called the store and my husband spoke to Lupita and she said they had extenders in the store since the necklace my husband got me was short. We drove about an hour to get there since we had an issue with online zales. We had a really good experience at this location and Zues was beyond helpful and was able to help us with getting a matching metal extender for my necklace. We also met Lupita and she was also nice. While we were there I was also able to get my wedding ring upgraded which I have been wanting do for a while. He was very knowledge, professional, and nice. Luckily they had an installment payment plan options which helped. I love that I was able to finally resize and upgrade this ring and finally wear the necklace. I have come to this location almost exclusively regarding my wedding rings. The past two times I was "helped" by the store manager named Jesus. Both times I dealt with him I was very unhappy. He is EXTREMELY pushy and manipulative. The first time he sent my ring away to be fixed, he also had it 'redipped' which he assured me numerous times it would not happen as it weakens the strength. It was under warranty so I brushed it off but was still upset. The last time I dealt with him I told him many many MANY times to just fix the ring under warranty. He would not let up on telling me it needed to be thickened which was not under warranty and is over $500. After I would say ,"please just fix it under the warranty" he would shoot back that it really needs to be thickened or it will just break. I was in tears, I was so stressed out about making a decision and I left with him winning and now I have to pay a pretty penny for something under warranty. Request Refund. I purchased a necklace online from Zales. We returned the necklace to the Store in the Northridge Mall and they ran the debit card for the refund. The refund was never processed. I contacted my bank and they said that they never received the transaction from Zales for the refund. I contacted the store and Zales online over and over again and I am still without my refund. I am a disabled veteran and have called the store for assistance and all I get is I need to call my bank. I am out of patience and not sure what to do next. read more

I was ignored by some old hispanic woman with dyed orange hair when I walked in. Then I got sarcastically greeted by Jorge after wandering the store for quite a while. He was very condescending and didn't seem too willing to want to make a sale. He then complained about how he was transferred from the Monterey store due to clashing with another employee there. Very odd. And unprofessional to say the least. Was not dressed nicely either. He went out of his way to NOT sell us what we wanted and said they were out of the item we wanted, when it was right in front of him. We walked across the way to Kay jewelers and bought the same necklace for a bit more, but well worth it. The woman there was extremely friendly. I am completely satisfied with the service I received a few days ago. My boyfriend and I were shopping for an early Christmas gift and we ended up with the perfect ring. Not only did they have patience with me trying everything on, they were friendly and very attentive. When it was time to process our transaction my card needed to be activated and instead of passing it back to me and asking me to return when finished they did it for me. It was a pleasant experience the manager Shelby was wonderful and even cleaned the jewelry we were wearing while helping us with our new transaction. Lupita was patient and kind when helping me with my card activation and explaining my warranty's. Have been doing business with Zale's since 1988. The store is always clean and bright. Someone frequently wipes the glass counters or using manual carpet cleaner. We are always greeted within seconds or to no more than a couple of minutes upon entrance. They clearly explain any questions we have without condemnation. Whether it's a $99 sale or exorbitantly larger purchase, they are always professional. There is a young man there who is handsomely dressed in suit and tie. Well cut hair, too. Impressive. No one has been seen with obvious piercings or tattoos. A few of the younger women, who are there one day and gone in 3 months, need assistance, guidance and an understanding of proper apparel for work. I'm no prude, yet I am uncomfortable with tight, short skirts, low-cut tops, 4" spike heels, dragon acrylic fingernails, dangling earrings to their shoulders and either an overload of perfume or worse, un-bathed. My husband is uncomfortable with it as well. I rated 4, yet I truly wanted to give 3. The lower rating would apply to owners, rather than the store, employees and merchandise. I was very upset to recently read, on a worthy news station, they are supporters on an issue that we are absolutely against. I'm disappointed to know the money I've spent there, is being used towards that issue. I will need to strongly and deeply consider returning to the business. Time will tell. read more

I bought my fiancé her engagement ring here and since day one we have always had an issue. After giving it to her we took it there to get resized, since it was the holidays they said it was gonna take 4 weeks, so when we finally got the ring back one month later we noticed that the diamonds that were inside the band were missing. When we took it back and told them why some of the diamonds were missing they were hesitant to replace them, even though where they send it to get resized didn't do a proper job. We had to wait another month for to get the ring and this time luckily all the diamonds were there. Six months later the band cracks a little, so we send it to get fixed, there goes mother month. 6 months from it being fixed it cracks again on the same spot! There goes another month. What they fail to explain is the diamond guarantee and how it works, that you have to get it inspected every 6 months if not your warranty is voided. A few days ago my fiancé noticed that one of the prongs that holds the main diamond broke and the diamond is missing. So I take it back to see what they can do and they practically say, well you didn't bring it in for inspection every six months. So here I'm stuck having to pay $3000 for a ring that kept on breaking multiple times and a company that doesn't care for their customers. All it seems they care for is making a sale, so one you cough up the cash you're no one to them. I should of taken my business somewhere else and I hope other people do because you'll end up spending so much on a ring that is poorly built and a seller that doesn't care. read more

I been shopping and shopping for an engagement ring for the last year. I came to Zales and had the pleasure to speak w Denzel. Right off the top he wasn't trying to make a sale. He was concerned and interested in what I wanted for me and my lady. He showed me rings from 1,000 to over 10,000 dollars in all shapes and sizes. Mind you, I was looking like a scrub that day and was rejected at a different jewelry store in the mall because how I looked and was asked to show my id and a credit card. Other jewelers at different locations were either too busy or just weren't in the mood to help. I followed up the next day w Denzel after looking at rings at every corner of the mall. We talked, negotiated and agreed on a deal on a ring. A pretty penny but well worth it and satisfied. Apart from being genuine, he is a great asset to Zales simply because he knows the A-Z on diamonds, he is down to earth and has the patience of a monk. 4 stars for Denzel and the staff for making me feel welcome and finding the best ring possible. I will never buy anything from this location again. Service is crap, literally! The manager was eating on the sales floor which is very unattractive to a paying customer. I seen him get confrontational with another customer. I immediately left because I wouldn't want to buy anything from a business like this. Oh and one of the associates looked like she rolled out of bed with hair and makeup from the day before (gross!).
