great customer service from salesmen. helpful understanding gave me a great deal on a beautiful ring however now my problem is the follow threw on getting the ring sized and back to my possession. I was told when the ring was bought that 1 free size up is given if needed originally was going to only pay for 1 size upgrade because it was going from 7 to 9 which I got 1 free upgrqde. but ended up being 7 to 8. before coming to the store I had a conversation with Sal and he said he could have a week turn around which I said ok great that's a week faster then everyone else followed by if you really need it I could get it to you possibly by Wednesday Thursday latest. Sal wasn't the sales rep I dealt with but upon telling him this he went to Sal and confirmed. after finding out I only needed 1 size upgrade Sal said it would now cost 80 dollars for the ring to be sized because he is taking it out personally to make sure I have it by Wednesday or Thursday And I would be called when ready. this was on 5/22 To get the ring on 5/27 or 28th. it is now 6/2. My girlfriend called and asked about the ring and we got great news it's ready for pick up. However when asked about the express payment she was told it's now 60 dollars and they r taking the 20 off for the express order but it is 60 for the sizing Followed up by enough money wasn't spent for a free sizing and a life time warranty wasn't bought which was never brought up or discussed When the ring was purchased. All in all if they refuse to honor what was said. the ring will be payed for and picked up whether they our gunna honor what was said or not. but unfortunately will be the first and last purchase made from us there. 60 bucks isn't much money but you made promises and statements in which you failed to comply with and uphold. you never called about the ring being completed. my number was red back to me when the ring was bought. then today we are told they couldn't read the number or wrote it down wrong. We were told it was 80 dollars for the express services and now it's 60 dollars for a sizing and 20 bucks for express services. i was told I have 1 free sizing Which I was using from a 7-9 which means I pay for 1. But now that's it's a 7-8 I have to pay for the sizing and the express is only 20 That your going to take off. I'm sorry people Maybe spoke out of turn or pocket or just was speaking to make a sale but at the end of it all your not honoring what was said n agreed upon n changing it. Thanks for the ring. I really liked this jewelry store because the staff were always so friendly. Plus, they are the one jewelry store that really had knowledgeable staff that knew what they were talking about. If I could give a half star review I would. This location has some of the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. I had purchased an engagement ring for my fiancé which was supposed to be given to her on Christmas. I made the purchase, I was extremely excited to give her a ring that she very well deserved. I send it out and the salesman Salvador & finance manager Victor assure me that it will be sized perfect and be back within a week. I go back a week later to pick up the ring and finalize the purchase which ultimately went well. Got the ring, it is a very beautiful piece and I was unable to keep it a surprise. I give her the ring early, it's the wrong size! Apparently it was too small. I sized it to an 8. Me thinking okay let's get it re-sized again so it can be perfect. I take it to another Daniels jewelry & they tell me it's a 6 3/4!!!!! How does that happen!?!? All the display sizes are 7. I asked for an 8, and received a 6 3/4!! Which is ridiculous, jeweler error or not that is completely unacceptable and very very unprofessional. I call the store to speak with one of the men who I originally dealt with because I was unaware there was an actual manager available. Victor was very rude, no ownership of the failed sizing was taken, he blamed me for not having the ring present so he can see for himself. But why would i lie? I just spent 3k on a ring to get it sized wrong? Thankfully this other Daniels Jewelry was able to handle my issue, sent it away to re-sized AGAIN & even gave me an iPad for my troubles. I will never again do business with Salinas Daniels and I would be wary of doing business with these men. Update: I paid for the protection plan which I can get my ring resized as many times as I want for free because of this plan. The iPad didn't work and I have no use for a nonworking iPad which is why I gave it away as a gift. And the $200 credit is appreciated but your jeweler and sales people should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for treating a guess like this this was supposed to be a beautiful experience and it's been nothing but a headache read more

My boyfriend and I went to look for engagement rings this past week after we decided on getting married next year. We went to Northridge Mall so we could both look at engagement rings that I would like. We had every intention to just look around. Mostly to get an idea about what style, cut, shape of ring I wanted and of course prices. We went to every jewelry place in the mall and initially stopped by Daniels to look around. One of the female staff members that was there was very welcoming. She inquired about our needs, offered to get me sized, and was overall very nice. We ended up leaving simply because we wanted to see every shop first. It was clear to me though that I would come back. We did return later that same day. The woman was already helping someone else, but Victor was able to help us. He was extremely nice. He gave suggestions for rings, allowed me to try on quite a few rings and was patient with us. He made conversation and made us feel that our choice in my ring was very important, so important that he encouraged us to look at other places. Told us too look at our options and to simply return should we feel that the ring I wanted was with them. He made it stress free without pressure to buy from them and instead stressed that we find what worked for us. I fell in love with the soulmate ring they had. We had one more jewelry place to look at so we didn't make any hasty decisions. After looking around more we eventually decided to inquire further at Daniel's. The ring really is beautiful. Both my fiancé and I fell in love with it! I didn't know this at the time, but my fiancé actually bought it the very next day! We just got engaged! They LOST my $4,000 engagement ring!!!!!!!! This location does not even deserve 1 star. My fiancé and I went in to buy wedding bands on a Saturday, while we where there the employee helping us recommended to get my engagement ring polished since we where getting married in a couple weeks(my engagement ring was purchased at another jewelry store) he assured us it wouldn't be a problem since it wasn't purchased there, we agreed and found our wedding bands and where ready to pay and finalize everything, gave them my engagement ring and where told it would be a couple days for it to come back along with our wedding bands since they had to be sized. A few days later my fiancé gets a phone call from Victor saying our rings are ready for pick up, my fiancé goes and as he's in the store he calls and tells me I need to go in because the ring they gave them wasn't mine. As soon as I walk in Victor tells me "your fiancé here thinks that this isn't your ring you wanna take a look" I take 1 look and it obviously wasn't mine 1)My engagement ring is engraved on the inside of the band 2)That ring was at least $3,000 cheaper than mine. He kept asking if I was sure and said I probably didn't recognize it cus it was cleaned. I had to show him pictures of my ring that I had on my phone to show him that it wasn't my ring. He finally realized it wasn't so he told me he would make some phone calls to see what happened and all me with an update, I let him know that I would go home and look for the certification I have of my engagement ring which has the serial number that is engraved on the diamond. A few hours go by and he never called so we go back to the store and I check the diamond on the fake ring and of course it wasn't the same. He then proceeded to tell me that he still didn't call anyone to look for my ring because he wanted to confirm the serial number. So that was a few hours wasted. Irritated, we left after he said he's make some phone calls and said the manager would be in the next day so we decided we'd go back. Next day he calls us saying that they found my $4k engagement ring that the jeweler who polished it dropped it off at another location and was going to be given to another person. As soon as we walk into we are go up to Victor he gives me my ring I look at it with the magnifying glass and confirm that it is mine. We finish up get all our rings and he tries saying good bye so we could leave before we did that I requested to speak to the manger IZZY, the whole time we where there she was just standing around, right before we leave I ask to speak to her she walks up to us all she says is hello and I stare at her for a couple seconds in silence expecting her to already know what was going on and apologize. Izzy says nothing to me so I say "so you guys lost my ring" and she just says "I know I heard I'm so sorry" WTF she's the manager, any good manager would have apologized and token over immediatly. The nerve that b***h had to just stand around listening to what was going on. She should be fired! read more

I went in a few weeks ago on a Sunday to have my diamond ring repaired. Upon brewing the store I was yelled at by one of the employees coming from the middle of the store to get Out because there were too many people already in the store. He was very rude and I told him someone should be at front of store to ensure extra people weren't entering until told to do so. He said if I didn't like it I could leave n if I didn't leave he was going to call security. Idk how they expect to get new customers or keep current customers w/this kind of attitude. I escalated the situation I spoke w/store manager Isabel re:Salvador & Even spine w/Mike the DM & I was to get some kind of resolution.As of today I have yet to get a call back.I am very high on customer service & I understand the value of great customer service. It's very sad that in the days we are living, many people have lost the value of customer service. Knowing that if it weren't 4 you & I they would have no job. We visited the store many more times and was always greeted by name and with a smile. After looking at all of the jewelry we ended up creating our own piece with the help of, Victor & Rosie. These two spent a few hours with us until we decided on what we were looking for, but most important they wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchase. Needless to say WE ARE!
