My fiancé and I walked in to check out wedding bands, we wanted to get a feel for what style looked best next to my engagement ring. When we arrived there were 2 staff members behind the counter, and no customers, yet they didn't not greet or even acknowledge us for about 2 minutes. We started looking around ourselves trying to find the women's bands and then they asked if we needed help. The display cases were FILTHY. There was dust and dirt all over the inside of them and hairs in between several of the rings. Things would have been cleaner at Walmart. I was shocked. They had a very limited selection of bands, and we didn't see anything we loved, so the woman pulled out an iPad to show me what they had on their website, which wasn't too helpful since we had told her we were specifically there to try things on and see in person what would sit best next to my ring. My boyfriend let me pick out a 'promise' ring online from Zales since the store itself didn't have what I was looking for. I was assured by an associate my ring would come with a basic warranty since it was over a certain price. Within a month one of the little diamonds on the band had fallen out. I didn't panic too much because I knew about the warranty and it wasn't noticeable unless I had pointed it out to someone. I decided I didn't want to jump in and get it fixed right away since I had only been wearing it for a month. Not even two weeks later, another one of the diamonds on the band falls out. I called the local Zales and they told me I needed to contact the customer service line since I bought it online. Once I got through to someone, I gave him our account information and told him what happened to the ring. He told me as long as I have it looked at by an associate inside the local Zales every six months then the warranty on my ring will be honored and the diamonds will be replaced at no cost to me. I printed out a form that was e-mailed to me about the warranty and the local Zales assured me that they would keep it on file for future repairs. Since we had to send it out to be repaired anyways, I asked to have my ring resized down to a 5. I knew I would have to pay extra for it since I didn't buy the full warranty and that was no problem to me at all. I was told it would take 3 weeks before my ring would be back since they had to send it out to two different locations. I waited 5 weeks until I finally got a call saying it was ready to be picked up. I tried it on and asked if they resized it because it didn't feel any different. The guy helping me told me they resized it to a 5. I had him take my ring and double check on their sizing tool to make sure it was in fact a 5. Turns out, they didn't resize it as requested. So I had to send it out once again and wait for it's return. They didn't charge me for the resizing which was nice since we did have to send it back out again. They were really apologetic and sincere about it (hence my reason for 2 stars instead of 1). This was back in September of 2016. Beginning of November, once again I noticed a diamond had fallen out. My boyfriend and I were in the mall Christmas shopping and decided to stop into Zales to see what the deal was. The girl 'helping' us looked up my account and told me I didn't have warranty on my ring and I would have to pay to have it fixed. I asked her to double check because I just sent my ring in to be fixed under the warranty plan during the summer and didn't pay a dime. Again, she told me there is no warranty on this ring and I wouldn't be able to get it fixed unless I paid out of pocket for it. She seemed so apathetic and uncaring towards the situation. Not knowing what else to do or who to talk to, we left. We paid over $500 for this ring and didn't want to put anymore money into it. It's now February 12 and I noticed ANOTHER diamond is missing which is what prompted me to write this review. I will never buy another ring from Zales again. We're looking at engagement rings elsewhere to replace this promise ring. read more

In February I purchased my fiances wedding band from Zales. With us being Disney Fans and feeling that the ring over all fit my fiances personality we went with the Disney Villains Collection's "Evil Queen" ring. Once we received the ring back from being sized it was put straight into our safe at home. We finally tied the knot on June 29th, 2019 and exchanged rings. It didn't take her wearing the ring for anymore than 2 months and we noticed a prong holding the main stone(ruby) in place was lifting up, causing the ruby to become loose. We immediately took it into Zales and had it sent in to be fixed. We received the ring back again approximately 1 week ago. Last night 9/23, my wife text me hysterically from work, explaining the same prong that was allegedly fixed, had raised up again, this time causing the ruby to become dislodged and lost. The quality of ring and quality of repair done to the ring is somewhat disappointing. What am I supposed to do now? The frustrating part is I now feel ripped off that I purchased an item from a company that I believed had a certain set standard in quality, and have been proven wrong at my expense. Worse is now my wife is heartbroken knowing that the ring we exchanged vows over will never be again. read more

One of the lady's walked to the back (while looking at us) and didn't say a word. We waited for 13 minutes until the guy came to us (still no greet) he didn't even ask "how can I help you". I purchased my wife's wedding band/wrap here in 2010. At the time we also had the work performed by Zales to set her engagement ring into the wrap. They sold us a warranty and insured the entire piece at that time including the engagement ring against loss. Recently we returned because one of the prongs on the setting had moved. They told us the had to send it out for repair and that it would be $60 because the marquee was not sold by them. So much for the insurance. The ladies here are always snobs, have no customer service skills, and give you as little information as possible. We went down to Celebrity Jewelers and the guy fixed/repositioned the prong for for FREE in about 15 seconds. Do not buy from Zales, or if you do, forget the warranty and insurance. They do not honor it, even with proof of purchase. read more

This store is under new management and has completely turned around. The current manager, Jenny, does absolutely everything she can to make sure everyone that visits her store has a perfect experience. Exceptional customer service is her main priority and she has trained her team to be the best. I feel welcome in the store, and never pressured to buy. The 2 different warranty options are thoroughly explained, and they have several options in terms of purchases. As the ring didn't fit, we returned the ring certified via USPS and she received a credit back on her card in a week's time, so she could make another purchase. My husband went to pick them up and surprise me and he received them from the clerk in plastic Ziploc bags!!!! One ring was too small so had to be returned and resized and had to wait two more weeks! The ring my fiancé purchased from Zales is perfect, but since he purchased it this place has been nothing but trouble for us. The service we receive every time we have to go in is appalling. We've been in numerous times, because there have been issues with the product and the paperwork. Almost every time we've gone in we've been turned away, without any solution, because the staff can't look things up in their computers. The "manager" treats us as if WE are uneducated. Seriously? Their systems are always down, they don't know what they're talking about, let alone selling. Each employee explains the paperwork differently, and they all contradict each other. On top of that, they're extremely rude. You work at Zales... in the mall. It's retail/customer service, where people come to buy "diamonds". I'm pretty sure everyone that walks into that store is more educated than you, "Zales Manager". Shape up. I'm completely unsatisfied with the service we have received and I have purchased my future husband's wedding ring elsewhere; the service was much better and they actually knew what they were talking about. If I could, I would also give Zales Jewelers zero stars. I went into Zales to have my wedding ring resized. They sent it off to their jeweler for a quote. I received one quote for the resizing of the ring and a second quote to have the engraving done. I opted to have only the resizing done as the engraving was not worth the cost to me. I went in to Zales to pick up my ring upon receipt of a call saying it was ready for pick up only to find out the Jeweler has refused to do any work because I had opted not to have the engraving done also. I left the store with my ring, less than happy with how the matter was handled. read more
