Probably short staff because they could have used one more buss boy..... My cashier Del G. Was super sweet and had a smile on her face the whole time. I'm a horrible customer, after staring at the menu for a life time, I still get to the cashier without the slightes ideal of what I want. Del was really patient and helped me make my sections without making me feel bad. There are lots of drink options. Idk if my sense of smell was sensitive at the time but it was impossible for me to drive without opening my windows. My order had an unpleasant smell that made me want to gag. It tasted okay. I probably shouldn't buy it again. There's this flavor in the rice that I hated!! I couldn't figure out what spice it was. The steak kabob was the only thing I really enjoyed. Zankou chicken is one of my favorite places to grab a bite. However, not all locations are created equal this location has a decent dining room with lots of light and a good amount of seating. The cashier, Samuel, was great. He asked a lot of questions to make sure he got the order right. The disconnect came somewhere between the ticket and the line. I had lunch there and ordered chicken with basmati rice and cabbage salad. I get to the table and there's no rice. No harm no foul. Samuel talked to the expeditor (who seemed annoyed and said she said he ordered a whole chicken only no rice) Samuel explained I ordered something else for dine in and he got it handled and I had order a chicken to go which came with 4 garlic sauces and I paid for two additional garlic sauces. Check your order before you leave the premises because I got all the home and there are only 4 garlic sauces in the bag. Too far to go back but it seems to me that the person putting the order in the bag should make sure it's all there. Love the food but service is lacking! read more

The parking lot was chaotic and not enough spots since it's shared with Starbucks and jack in the box. It was my first time so I just ordered the Chicken Tarna. It came with diced up chicken, salad, pita, hummus, tzatziki sauce, and garlic sauce. I got two pita breads and just used it to make a wrap. It was all delicious and fresh and for a good value. I've heard about this place for months, everyone loves it! Going here I knew I was going to leave happy. My boyfriend and I ordered the same thing, the combo kabab. Sooo good. And way too much food for the both of us lol. We will definitely keep that in mind when we visit again. One plate would have been enough for us. So if you have a big appetite this is your spot. The chicken was juicy, the beef was tender. Rice cooked just right. Ambiance is what you expect out of an "elevated" fast food place. It's a little hot right at the register which is expected. I love Zankou Chicken. I lived in Pasadena for a few years and frequented that location. I've been to the Hollywood one many times too. I was so happy when I saw it being built near our hone. We've had food from this great new location. twice. The first was last week, which we had delivered. The second was tonight when I went s f picked it up and saved $15. The food is great: The servers are very pleasant. One of them opened the door for me both coming and going. It's a casual place; and that's fine. This is not fancy, but it's great. Located right off Lakewood not far from the airport but on the west side of the freeway there is a large ish parking lot shared with Starbucks and Jack in the Box. Still the best roasted chicken you will find anywhere. Hummus is fantastic as is the garlic sauce. A half chicken meal which is chicken, hummus, 2 pitas and this weird salad thing is about 20 bucks. A drink is extra. Service is good but they did forget to put utensils in my to go bag. No big deal but annoying. read more

Finally curiosity has been satisfied.. this place packed tonight.. we ordered half chicken & combo kabob - chicken & steak and regular sodas.. unless i missed it there's no fish in the menu..loved the proteins the half chicken needs more salty flavor, the steak is a bit chewy, the pita bread and hamas is delish salad is ok but im not a fan of sour dressing.. not so sure how to use the yogurt in the mini container but we used it to dip the protein and it is fullfilling.. the ambiance is welcoming eventhougj the space is smaill not much parking.. felt sorry for Jack n d box lol.. overall, the place is worth the $$ i paid for great tasty food we will for sure come back!!! read more

I never tried this place but today i wanted to come check it out! I ended up getting the two piece kabob plate which was excellent! The pita bread was nice and soft and the hummus dip was good! The cucumber salad was good also with basmati rice and a tomato with onions. It was busy when i came, had to eat outside on one of the 4 tables. They have a self serve soda and lemonade machine which is great and tasted fresh, no flat drinks here. Nice location and friendly staff. I will be back! Tanya the manager was extremely helpful. We had a postmates order driver that only delivered a small part of our order that made no sense to deliver. We called the store and Tanya was able to make it right and we were able to pick up the order another day, as we weren't able to make it out that day (hence the postmates order to start off with). We had out first meal (takeout) from here tonight. Upon arriving home, it was discovered our order was incomplete - missing ordered extra pita (see attached). The chicken wraps were tasty, but contents unevenly distributed, plus outer of wrap seemed stale (fell apart). Taste was great, but final product needed more attention to details.
