Wow! This town is one of the last places I'd expect to find a Thai restaurant. It's a very small restaurant but the staff are great and the food is even better! Go during lunch for their lunch specials which are fairly good portions along with soup and a small salad and an egg roll all for I think $8.99? The dinner portions are large and so good. I've had the drunken noodles and one other dish so far. I can't wait to try something new next time. I've heard the Crab Rangoon are amazing too! Holy cow!! Was this place a huge (accidental) find! Was traveling from out of town and stopped on this exit to get gas and grab something quick for lunch. What an unsuspecting area to have such incredible Thai food. I eat Thai food all over in my travels and this was hands down the best drunken noodles I've had. Super flavorful, tender chicken with a grilled flavor and perfectly cooked noodles. And the hot was definitely hot but not uncomfortably spicy. Perfect. The place is super modern, clean and cute! We drove all the way from Broad Ripple to check out Zapp Thai after one of my patients had told me that this is the most authentic Thai food in Indianapolis- and she wasn't wrong! This was the best food we had in Indy thus far. We had a red curry and a green curry, both mild, and both with chicken, and they were phenomenal. Definitely mild is on the spicy side, so tread carefully! We also picked up two Thai teas that were one of the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommend! Prices were typical with dinner prices at other Thai places (but I suppose I'm just used to always ordering off the lunch menu.) We came here with 2 kids and 2 other adults for lunch on a Sunday. They were rather busy but we squeaked in, we had quite a long wait to order and longer for food but again there were 6 of us and they were packed (thank goodness we packed snacks to keep the kids happy!) My panang curry was good, crab rangoons were mediocre - I wouldn't bother to order them again, kids fried rice was good and whatever my spouse and the 2 others ordered they seemed to like. I've been wanting to try this place out since they opened! The atmosphere is good, the service is spectacular! Although I only saw 2 servicers, one was tending the bar and the other was also hostessing, I felt they provided excellent services for all tables and turned tables over fast for new customers! My food came out steaming hot, the soup had a nice flavor (I was surprised to see noodles in it which is rare, usually it's only veggies). The Pad Thai had perfect flavoring and a good amount of chicken and the serving itself was satisfying. The crab Rangoon was very hot and fresh, you can obviously see chunks of crab and veggies in it, although sadly I didn't taste the crab much. The dipping sauce was good but too watery for my taste, I would've liked it to stick more. I will say I was a bit surprised with the cost of the crab Rangoon, it was $1 less than my lunch itself. The special was $8, the Rangoon $7. But unlike other places, it was hand made (not frozen) and had nice chunks of identifiable food, so I will gladly pay it! Zapp was recommended to me by my doctor (also a fan of Thai cuisine) and although I don't share her fondness for seafood, I was not disappointed. The appetizer sampler plate was too much for three people -- but an excellent introduction to the menu for one in our party who is new to Thai food. Again, my order of tofu larb was ample for sharing, crisp and with just enough citrus to spark the taste buds. My entrée of Rama was beautifully presented, the chicken was tender and the not-overcooked veg were not overpowered by the peanut sauce. My friends enjoyed seafood and praised the size and flavor and the shrimp. We'll definitely return and explore other menu options! Service was quick and professional. The décor is surprisingly elegant for the restaurant's location between a Starbuck's and a Mexican grill. Started ordering from this place during Covid. It quickly became one of our favorite take out places. The food is awesome! (Love the panang beef). However, we recently decided to dine in. The lady and man working the front were both extremely rude. We had our toddlers with us and they both just seemed annoyed we were there. Rolled their eyes multiple times when they walked by us. They forgot our panang beef. When we said something to the waiter he knew exactly what he had forgotten. It took about another 15 minutes for them to bring it out. Without ever apologizing for 1. Forgetting the order and 2. For the delay in getting the food. By the time we got it we were just ready to go and needed it to go. Again no sorry from the staff or act of remorse. However, they were very quickly to bring the check and get us out of there. Defintely going to stick to take out from here on out!! I was seated fairly quickly after arriving but waited 15 minutes to even get a drink order in. I bought their volcano shrimp for $19 and a few other items totaling $30. The shrimp batter was soggy and the shrimp was rubbery, the sauce was watery and the service was not great. I expected this to be "fast-foody" based on the location, a small strip mall sandwiched between a Starbucks and a Qdoba. WRONG! My friend and I went for lunch and the lunch special is a GREAT DEAL!!! $8 for a large selection of dishes and you pick you choice of meat or tofu on each one. Shrimp is $2 upcharge. You also get soup and a spring roll, and the portion is huge for lunch. You can order mild, medium, hot, extra hot or Thai hot. I went medium. My buddy chose hot. He had a small amount of regret. I seriously can't think the dinner portion is larger. So, here is my very subjective review. Interior/decor. 5 Stars. small space, but they did a great job with what they have. Service. 5 Stars. Flawless. Fast, Non intrusive. Food. I'm going to say 4 Stars just because I thought it was decent, and again, I'm not really much of an Asian food fan other than Japanese. And keep in mind, this place is in Greenfield, where there are few choices and I would be willing to bet my pay check there isn't a Thai food place within a 10 mile radius of here. I had the Red Curry Chicken with Fried Rice/Steamed Rice. The Fried Rice is delicious! The Red Curry Chicken is mediocre, the taste is just "okay" in my opinion and I don't feel it included a decent size portion of chicken when ordering it to go (compared to some of the plates I saw come out to dine-in guests while waiting for my order).
