It's exactly what you'd expect, nothing more. Service team was very attentive and kind, food quality was okay, variety was lacking.

We go here twice a month for our Navy Reserves weekend drill lunch. Let me tell you, I seriously look forward to this place weeks in advance. If it were closer we'd go here more often. When it comes to Chinese buffets I am always a little skeptical at first about cleanliness and variety. I was incredibly impressed here. They provide a wide variety of not just food Chinese American food but, healthy food as well. They have many options that aren't fried and several vegetable options to choose from. They don't come to the table to tiping isn't something expected and the prices are low. The staff is attentive if you ask for something but, doesn't always catch empty or low filled pans right away. There is plenty of seating and it is concurrently located near Kroger, Kohls, Walmart and several other stores. It is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. I've only ordered carry out from here but the location is a good one! They have lots of options as do most Chinese restaurants. My favorite is the crab Rangoon but they have all the traditional favorites; sweet and sour, general saos chicken, etc. I bet it's a better deal to do the buffet so this would be a great option when you're really hungry for some yummy Chinese! read more

We've been to this Chinese Buffet a few times and have never had a problem. A few years ago they changed management or something and their food was awesome - it was hot and kept well stocked. I'm not sure what happened last night but it was a train wreck and not worth the $10/person they charged us to get in. The food was picked over and even what they brought out to replenish the dwindling supply was barely warm. There were only enough cups for 3 out of 6 of us to get a beverage. The rest of our family had to wait a while until they finally brought out more cups. We were treating our brothers who had come to town with dinner at a place we usually love...and were severely disappointed. read more

The food was not great, but not bad. It had a wide selection of foods/desserts. Some of the foods weren't stocked great and we didn't see anyone bring out anything fresh while we were there. The staff was friendly and refilled our drinks for us. The inside was not very clean though; for $33 (2 adult buffet dinners with drinks) you would like the inside to be a lot nicer than it was. Here's the deal: you get what you pay for. We came in and were one of three parties. (A group of 7 or 8, including kids, and a lone woman.) After surveying the lay of the land, I staked out a booth, and went back to embark on a culinary adventure. I was excited to see whole hard-boiled eggs! Unfortunately, they had been sitting there for a while and tasted weird. I think the third time we went through, there were a few dishes that had been switched around and added to. The fried bananas was one of those. Their pan got dumped on by the onion rings and didn't get labeled. We wondered what the fate would be for the friedbananaonionrings. There were Chinese donuts. And Seafood Cheese. And a skipping CD. And fried rice. And BBQ pork. And General Tso's Chicken. And fried something-or-other that were dished up on scallop shells. And a guy three tables away that was eating like nobody's fed him in weeks. It was ridiculous. I could hear him like he was sitting right next to me. I don't think that the skipping cd being turned off helped the whole thing. The only dish I ended up really eating was the Chicken & broccoli over rice. Lastly, I didn't try the water here because the price included the fair selection of beverages. I chose the Gold Peak sweet tea, which is never really a bad choice. All in all, if you come in without any expectations, you'll be just fine. Lunch was less than $7 and dinner is less than $9. (Cheaper for kids, and even cheaper for toddlers.) read more

I've taken off one star as the girl standing at the counter where you pay wasn't the most friendly and stated at me for a second as I approached as if she wasn't quite sure I belonged there. Otherwise, while dining, my dirty plate wasn't on my table longer for more than 4 minutes. Pretty good for a busy day. I was pleasantly surprised at this place. I went right around noon and business was brisk, the food was coming out at a decent pace and it was actually seasoned well. One of my favorites, egg foo young, was fluffy and the veggies inside were perfectly cooked. Burbon chicken was good, crab rangoon good, even steamed veggies with shrimp and no sauce, good! There wasn't anything that tastes bad or off. I'm not sure how "authentic" Chinese this is, but it's authentic enough for a buffet. I will definitely be coming back! This place is much better than the other restaurants bearing the same chain name. So don't let the name scare you off. There is such a wide variance among the stores in the chain, that I have to believe they are independently owned. They are clean, in the dining area, the steam tables, and the men's room. They bus the tables in a timely manner. They have the Chinese buffet standard food items, plus a wider variety than most Chinese buffets. The food is fresh, and good quality, in my opinion, for a buffet at least. The various sauces on the hot dishes were light, not what I call "gunk sauce" found at lower quality buffets that doesn't sit well. They also have some basic sushi rolls, along with ginger and wasabi paste. Not the quality of what you'd get at a real sushi place, but good for "buffet sushi." Several good seafood items, including at least 2 different shrimp dishes that I liked. $8.88 for supper, including drink and tax. It's not a place where I'd take people to impress them, but if you're hankering for Chinese buffet food, you won't be disappointed here with quality or price/value. read more
