Randomly stumbled upon Zappy's and glad we did. $8.99 for a whole pepperoni pizza and it was immediately available, hot and fresh from the oven. Small shop, plenty of parking. Pizza was typical. Not amazing, not terrible. Fitting for the price. Great spot for an affordable meal, especially in 2026. read more

4.5 Stars. Not sure if it's my favorite pizza in SD but it is definitely the best value. I've only had the meat lovers but each time it was well made and well loaded. Crust is flavorful and well baked. It's a small counter location so come grab it to go. read more

Great quality pizza at a super reasonable price. They get it done fast, are super pleasant to customers, and if I had a complaint, it would be the Hawaiian pie could use some more pineapple. Quick spot to come and grab a pie. I came on a Saturday night at 8pm. It was sorta busy. About 6 people came and went when I was here. I called ahead for a stuffed pepperoni pizza. It cost me 13 dollars and change and took about 15 minutes to be ready. There's no seating area here. So you either taking it to go or you're sitting on the side of the planter box enjoying. Handful of people working. Pretty quick and simple customer service. Pizza was pretty okay. Tasted like a slightly better Little Caesar's. Stuffed crust wasn't as gooey as I hoped but still a nice proportion of cheese to crust. Not overly saucy the pizza in general. Pepperoni tasted of nice quality. Real winner here was the crust. I think it was made to perfect. Was fluffy and well seasoned. Brought everything together. Overall.. It's not winning any awards anytime soon but I've spent more on pizza that was much more terrible than this. After half the box I felt pretty full which means cold pizza leftovers tomorrow! It's in a plaza with a couple of other stores and a food for less. Decided to go back to Zappy. Was craving pizza. The price increases drove me away. Good news. The specialty pizzas are two dollars less. $15.99 VS $17.99. So I got a Supreme for $15.99. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes. Nice and hot. But there was something different. The crust was thinner. The toppings were OK. Taste was good. Different staff. There used to be two ladies handling the register and making the pizzas. Now only one. But a guy from the back was helping out. Still lots of people lined up to order and or pickup. read more

I placed my order at 7:15 PM and was told it would be ready in 15-35 minutes. I gave them an extra 10 minutes just in case, but when I arrived, the order still wasn't ready. The staff was rude, and when I asked about the delay, one of the girls told me I had to wait another 5 minutes for one more pizza. The lead tried to explain that they like to "rotate the pizza to keep it fresh," but I made it clear that I needed the full order ready for pickup on time--not made while I waited. The price and location was right for us. Wings were surprisingly good. Ranch good and bread was very tasty. One pizza was fresh and everyone enjoyed it- 2 toppings pepperoni and sausage. However the second pizza had an odd aroma-like not fresh dough or something which is strange since it is a pretty busy place. I only ate one slice of the pepperoni and pineapple pizza, but it was too far from home to call or return it. I enjoy Zappy Pizza because it is relatively cheap and consistently good. There has only been a couple instances where I was dissatisfied with my purchase. The store front is small and appears to be clean. It is a pick-up-and-go spot for sure, so don't expect to sit down and enjoy a slice in store. The service is good, I have no complaints. The pizza is pretty good for what it is priced. Can never go wrong with that. The service was pretty okay until we had an issue with the order. We made sure to ask for extra pineapple twice on one of our pizzas we ordered and we ended up not even getting it.
