Just driving by and my wife and I were hungry so we stopped for a slice. The deals were so good we ended up getting a 14inch pizza. The owner AJ super cool dude very friendly. The place is under new management and you can tell the place has a different vibe than the past reviews. The pizza was 10/10 service 10/10 place 10/10 reminds me of New York Pizzerias. This place could have gotten more stars out of me but unfortunately I had an experience last night that forced me to have to write a not so good review. But this review isn't about the pizza. It's about being misled with the garlic bread. I was pleasantly happy with an order of regular garlic bread that I had ordered a couple weeks ago. Definitely a good amount of bread for the price. It was a loaf of French bread, restaurant style. And with that I wanted to try the garlic bread w/ cheese. So last night along with my pizza order I placed an order of the garlic bread with cheese as well. But I definitely didn't get the same bread. What I got instead was two (2) slices of white sandwich bread with garlic butter and topped with cheese. (WTH!) This is definitely not right. Sandwich bread isn't the same as a loaf of French bread. So I ordered at pizza roughly at 830, expected my pizza to arrive at 929, i wait till 950, it never showed up so I called grub hub and they called giant pizza king to try to see what was going on with my order, they pizza king never picked up their phone so they refunded my money. Yuck! We had a big order of two pizzas, two types of wings and a large Greek salad. Order arrived promptly. Pizza was tasty. The wings are gross. We ordered garlic parmesan , bad move. They were crusted with that fake lemon pepper seasoning, not edible, no garlic or parmesan in sight. The worst part was the salad. The tomatoes were so old, they looked like the skin had been boiled, peep the pic, brown lettuce and to top it all a hair from a worker (none of us have brown hair). They are very disorganized as lady in the front is answering phone calls while trying to help customers... she was all over the place. Just so you know when you order pasta it's actually cold bagged pasta they put in a microwave and pour canned pasta sauce on top of it... I know cause I seen a 16 year old boy do it while I was waiting ten minutes in line. Ok about the pizza nothing really exciting about it.. My husband and I knew that Giant Pizza King was finally in Lemon Grove so, we decided to give this one a try for a pizza and wings for a Pay per view Boxing match that was today. I have to say that we both, enjoyed our pizza with just pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeños on it was tasty for the bigger pizza and having the basic toppings on it. The only reason we're giving it four out of five stars was because, the lime wings were really over salted where you had to drink water to not taste it so, hopefully they can not salt so much in the future, but the pizza was good other than that. read more

I have ordered pizza from here about a dozen times in the last 1 1/2 years since my family moved to the area. Not once have I had bad service or bad pizza. The folks working here are always friendly and expedient in their service. The ordering experience via phone is easy and the preparation times are reasonable. My family usually gets an XL pizza with various toppings and we've never had one we didn't like. I also want to add that they just opened a sweets and coffee addition inside this shop that sells a variety of European (macaroons etc) and middle eastern pastries (baklava etc). I tried the baklava and it was really good. I look forward to coming back to try their coffee another day. Just picked up a pizza. The gentleman making the pizza came over with his gloves on, the one he's handling food with, to handle the money. He removes one glove then goes back to making pizza & touching food without washing hands or putting on new gloves. Wife tried to call in twice to order. Phone just kept ringing so we stopped by on the way home. Cashier is on phone on an apparent personal call outside the store. Greets me, comes in unmasked and takes my order. Figure there is nothing to be concerned about since there plexiglass between us. Place my order and sit in the corner to wait for order. Cashier then (still on the phone btw) goes to the back and without washing hands or putting on gloves, grabs the pizza dough and starts prepping it. He then starts stretching pizza in the air while talking on the phone, unmasked, while the dough is literally inches from his face. I stopped him right there and asked for a refund and told him the reason was he didn't even wash his hands or wore a mask. He just hit a button and voided my order like nothing. Even without a pandemic happening, the fact that he never washed his hands after handling payments and is talking and dropping spit particles into the food is by itself disgusting. I ordered pizza, wings and lasagna which says it comes with garlic bread and salad. When I went to pick up my order the guy had his mask off and only put it when he walked to the front to charge me. My food was ready. When I got home the garlic bread was missing so I called them. The guy admitted to knowing he didn't put it in there!!! He said it wasn't there because he would have to make a big peace just to give me a little peace for my order. Really so you just didn't put it in because you were lazy to make it!! The pizza, the customer service, and in general was very excellent. The pizza tasted bomb literally bomb, i have never tasted such good pizza before! The person that helped me was very nice and caring, it was a very hot day and he was so generous to give me a cold water. My food finished in about 10 minutes.
