Everytime I shop here the line is so long, and takes an average of 15-20 minutes just to be helped. Even when it's busy, managers and other associates will be present, but not ring. There's only ever 1-2 cashiers even during peak hours, and all the cashiers look miserable and unwilling to help anyone. They never smile or use any customer service, not even asking how you are or thanking you for waiting. It's always the same cashiers as well, a Hispanic female and a middle eastern male. I used to live in Spain and I was a big fan of Zara. In fact I was surprised by all the negative reviews this Zara has. However, after visiting Cerritos Zara, I perfectly understood the reason. I bought a suit for $300, and when I was paying, they removed the hangers, and when I asked for the hangers, they said we cannot give you the hangers, seriously? on top of that, they didn't even give me a cover for the suit, they just pushed it to a crazy plastic bag!!!!! there is a serious problem here, when you pay $300 for a suit and then you get this low service. I then went to buy a dress shirt that was advertised as $39.99, then I had to wait in line for like 20 min as there was only one angry cashier that he looks that he hates his job terribly. To my surprise, the shirt price was $49.99. When I informed the cashier that the price was advertised differently, he was so angry and he didn't want to bother to verify. I then felt that I have to talk to the manager. When the manager came, it was so obvious that she was also rude, never smiled, never said hi. Anyway, when I went to show her that the shirt was advertised at a lower price, she was confused for a bit, then she said oh that must be the pants coz the tag says slim fit. I said well but those shirts are also slim fit, so she was like oops, I don't know I'm sorry about that but those are the pants. then I said, but the pants are from the opposite side, on a different stand, and the advertised price was located with the shirts, and how am I gonna supposed to know that those are the pants not the shirts. she said well, sorry but those are the pants, and she left. She didn't even try to remove the sign and put it with the pants. This Zara, in addition to the rude customer service, they also have false advertisement. Too bad for such a nice brand, hopefully someone will step in and at least read the people's concerns. read more

I just want to say that I must be most annoying customer these poor girls have to deal with. I buy a ton of stuff, during the sale of course, and then return a bunch of stuff that I either don't like or fit, ekk. Even with all that, I have never had a bad encounter with any of the employees at the Cerritos Zara. Most of the sales associates (SA) pretty much know me by name, but this review is about two SAs in particular. One is Sarah and the other is Stephanie (with the braces) just in case there's two :) These two SA are the nicest, friendliest, and down to earth SAs from all the Zara's I've been to. They are always smiling and always greet me in the warmest and genuinely nicest way. I'm doing my rounds with all my favorite SAs and giving them shout outs. I have been a loyal Zara customer for years, but unfortunately, I have to now say that after the experience I had at this Zara store, they have lost a customer for life. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. And, after reading the other Yelp reviews on this store, I can see that I am not alone. So, here's my story. I purchased a skirt for my daughter from the children's department. After only wearing it twice, the entire seam started to unravel. So, within 2 weeks of purchase, I brought it back to the store. When I got there, I couldn't find the receipt in my wallet, but the sales associate remembered selling me the skirt. She said she couldn't do anything without the receipt, but would ask her manager. Her manager, Selena, came over and said that there was nothing they could do without the receipt, but if I found the receipt within 30 days and brought it in, they would issue me a refund. I said to her very nicely that I thought this was unfair since I could provide them my credit card statement and their sales associate remembered me purchasing the skirt. Selena said there was nothing she could do, but that I could call customer service. So, I called customer service from my cell phone while I was still there. I was very nice and didn't make a scene at all. The customer service associate said he would call Selena and then call me back. So, I left the store. When I went out to my car, I found the receipt. Within 5 minutes, I brought it back to the store and tried to give it to Selena. All she said was, "customer service will call you". I said, "wait, you just told me 5 minutes ago that you would give me a refund if I brought you the receipt". She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and just walked away without saying a word. I have never been treated so rudely by a store manager or sales associate. She wouldn't even address me. When customer service called me back, they said they couldn't over ride Selena's decision. The customer service agent felt bad for me and actually said that if I took the skirt to another Zara store, they would most likely give me the refund. I told him that it doesn't seem right to make the customer drive 20 miles to the next store and let the manager get away with being so rude. But, he said, that's all I could do. The next day, I spoke with the Zara customer service manager. He said they would review it and get back to me. I asked for the name of the district manager to complain about the service I had received, but I was told that they couldn't give me that information. He said they would handle it internally. I was told that there was nothing further I could do. So, that's it and I will no longer be a Zara customer. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel the need to warn shoppers about this store's HORRIBLE customer service. Not a SINGLE smile from any of the employees. I wanted to walk out of the store after a snooty worker walked right pass me, but I needed to return some items I purchased online. The girl working the register made me wait in line while she finished folding clothes, asked for my reciept, did her thing and then handed me a paper. That was it! No explanation about my refund!! I had to ask. Geez people, you act like you're too good because you wear cool clothes. So disappointed. NEVER going back to this store! I was helped by John and Crystal today and they were both very kind and incredibly helpful. I did not have a good experience with the customer service supervisor Artie C. who refused to authorize my online return for store credit. Zara as a company will not even allow for a customer to get store credit for an online purchase past the 30 day mark. In store you can get store credit after 30 days and I did not realize that it's different for online purchases. On the gift receipt given with your online purchase it reads, "Returns with this gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Store Credit Card or Store Credit Receipt." It does not state anywhere on the receipt that it must be done within 30 days. Not very transparent. Since it was only a few days late John allowed for the return and I was given store credit. Thank you both for handling this in such a professional and thoughtful manner. Even if the return didn't work out I still would have appreciated how you both dealt with the situation by just trying to help. Literally the worst location to go to. An employee by the Name of Adriana had the worst attitude. I went twice to pick up an online order in store that somehow nobody could find even though I had an email confirming it was at the store already. Right off the bat, she looked at me and asked if I had called customer service I said no (why would I) she then said well you're supposed to call. Then stared at me like I was stupid waiting for me to leave and be embarrassed... I immediately stopped her and said umm no but YOU can call to HELP me out. She expected me to do her job and when I expressed the fact that she gave me attitude to another employee that was helping her, Adriana (already on the phone) said "well I didn't want to hurt yourself feelings" with stupid sarcasm. Like howwww does someone even say that to a customer. No my feelings were not hurt, you don't have that kind of power girl, calm down. Then when someone over the phone had a solution she immediately shut it down... when I asked her for her name she said she didn't have to give me her name, so I asked another employee and asked to speak to the Manager Bree. She tried to apologize for her employee and offered to look up the order herself and my order had BEEN in the store the whole time ... which pissed me off even more because at that point it was my second time driving there, and experienced that ridiculous visit with that stupid girl that has the worst manners and should not work with customers directly. I wish I could give this zero stars. I bought 2 suits on black Friday, spent over $400 and they neglected to take the sensors off anything! When I was walking out of the store it beeped but everyone was beeping so u thought it wasn't a big since sometimes people beep coming in the store. I needed one suit for the next day and when I tried it on I found both pieces with sensors still attached. I looked at the rest of my items and they all had sensors attached. I went back to the store to have them removed and the manager said she could not do anything about it and accused me of stealing. They said they had to "conduct an investigation and would contact me". That's ridiculous! On top of that, they could not call their office because they were "closed". What kind of clothing company closes their offices the day after black Friday? I came back with my receipt and they wouldn't let me return or exchange. I am so disappointed that they treat you like a forever 21 customer. No high end store would ever make such a big fuss over removing sensors. This would never happen at nordstrom or specialty stores like The Limited. Now I have to spend time to go back to the store to fix THEIR mistake and deal with holiday crowds again. The customer service here is horrible. The two managers named Taylor and Dayno (sounded like this) were absolutely rude and insisted on policies that they stated were printed on the back of the receipts, but when I took my receipt out and asked them to show me where it stated their claims, they weren't able to answer. The manager named Dayno started making things up, like saying everything printed on the receipts are exceptions. So after 30 minutes of going in pointless circles of impossible communication with these managers, I gave up and agreed to grab some new arrival items to do an exchange. The two of them never apologized for the inconvenience nor did they have any kind of respectful attitude that you would expect a person in sales would have. The male manager Dayno even spoke to me with a threatening tone of voice as he said, "Do you want to exchange this or not?" He's offensive and unworthy of being a manager of a store. Then, he started saying that I would only be able to do exchanges with new non-sale things in the future with the items I picked up that day. I agreed and said I understood, and I asked him to note exactly what he wrote on my receipt so that I knew what he was saying wouldn't change the next time I came. The managers here do things however they want, and it's frustrating as a customer who has been exposed to more reasonable policies and respectful treatment at other Zara's. But when I asked him to write on my receipt, he refused, saying he didn't want to write it because it was already stated on the receipt. So I showed him my receipt again and asked where it stated that I would be allowed to do continuous exchanges as long as the items were new arrival and of equal or greater value. He quietly admitted it wasn't on the receipt, but kept insisting he wouldn't write on my receipt. I was speechless because I was only asking him to write down exactly what he told me I would be able to do the next time I was at a Zara, since I was forced to grab items today for the exchange that I didn't want. I've seen many managers at other Zara's say "of course!" and make notes on customers' receipts without hesitation. Because why not? The only reason he refused to note what he said with his own mouth was because he didn't want to stick to his words. He kept saying his statements were all implied on the receipt, and how is "implied" going to guarantee that other managers or other Zara's will agree with what he told me? This Cerritos Zara has a long way to go until they realize that the whole goal of a long-term business is to gain customer satisfaction and trust, which they've lost today. read more

I'm quite disappointed with the manager in Cerritos, her name is Esme, blonde and not good with Customer Service! I went to exchange or return a strapy sandal from June that I just opened I swear and when I wore both sandals were different size. I called the 888 number for Zara with a claim number and they approved it with a claim#. So I went to Zara in Cerritos and one manager Chelsie said yes to credit or exchange. Store was closing and I couldn't find anything so I went back to the register to just get the credit. But Esme or Elsie another manager tells me to exchange only and advised because I'm out of warranty. The worst customer service experience ever. I go in to do a price adjustment on something I had purchased not even 8 days before was given one information from one of the "trained" cashiers. But then I was told a whole different explanation from a manager by the name of Alex. That they couldn't hold any sale items. Worst customer service I have ever received! After reading the return policy on the receipt and calling to ask about the return policy I was told that tags do not need to be attached to shoes in order to return them. So I drove all the way to the Cerritos mall to return these shoes, I had the receipt and the tags present just not attached to the shoes and I was told they were worn and couldn't be returned! I would never try to return worn shoes, I bought them in the exact condition. I was told there was nothing they could do so they gave me customer services number. I called customer service as I was walking out the door and the man that I spoke to told there was nothing he could do and if a manager inspected the shoes in store then there is "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THEY CAN DO"! He was so rude and kept trying to get me off the phone. I don't know why they even have a customer service number because they are clearly worthless and rude! Went into Zara for first time. Clothes are very nice and on trend. Unfortunately cannot say that about their customer service! I was in the store for awhile, not once was I greeted or asked if I needed any help, even a few sales associates walked by without even a hello or may I help you. I will not be shopping here any more - two poor experiences. This time I was taking my daughter to exchange a gift she received that didn't fit. I had the gift receipt YET they still did not want to exchange it as it was purchased 45 days prior and their return policy is 30. So what I can conclude is you can NEVER buy a gift more than 30 days in advance which is ridiculous. After much complaint they finally let me exchange the items. Dejon was one of the most rude and unhelpful associates I've come across at Zara. He said he was a manager but refuse to accept that given his level of operations and professionalism. Zara being my favorite place to shop has lost its appeal through poor service and attitude. I initially came in wanting to exchange a blazer. I had the receipt from 2 months ago and knew store credit was going to be the outcome. Or I thought. Met Dejon at the cash drawer and explained to exchange and even spend several hundred on clothes that day. He simply looked at the blazer and said it was out of season and he won't take it for either refund nor credit. Again, this was determined by "looking" at the blazer and nothing else. I asked him to check and he insisted its out of season again by looking. Took a third shot for him to check and he scanned it with his phone and said, "o, it's actually in season and at the same price purchased." Well fkin great thank you you intuitive associate you. Turned over to the girl next to him and said "give him store credit" and walked away like an ass. Still bought 3 pairs of pants only due to the fact that I drove an hour to check this location out and didn't want to go home empty handed. First and last time coming to Zara Cerritos. read more

I first visited during the grand opening and was happy with the service and how clean the store was over a year ago. All that has changed though. I visited this location last Saturday around lunchtime, it was packed with people and the clothes weren't really organized, but this is the Zara sale so, it's understandable. When entering I wasn't greeted by a worker and while browsing no workers offered to help except when I visited the Kids section (honestly I like not being pestered by workers while I browse, but I know others appreciate help from sales people). The kids section is super cute and there were lots of stuff on sale. There were 3-4 workers on the floor of the kids section and the 2 that helped me were nice and knowledgeable. In the womens section I only saw the girls at the registers and 2 workers restocking. There were 3 workers in the dressing room, all were carrying on a conversation when I entered I had to ask for a room even though I was standing right in front -they didn't even awknowledge me. I get that right now is the big semi annual sale and disorganization is expected, but the workers could be more efficient and organized by grouping similar items by categories (bottoms:pants, shorts, skirts; Dresses, Tops, etc) or put racks of dresses or tops together by size rather than randomly jamming stuff on a rack. The middle of the store had shoes, bags and racks of tops, the bottoms beneath the hanging dresses had shoes and bags- Zara workers quit being lazy and put them all in one place so customers will be able to find things easier and be more likely to purchase stuff! It's really not hard I mean Nordstrom does massive sales like this multiple times a year and still manages to keep the floor organized and manageable. Yes, I get that Zara is about fast fashion not quality, but that doesn't mean stores need to abandon basic customer service standards. Btw I gave 4 stars because I like the style of the clothes, the kids section and the affordability, but realistically this location gets a 2. I'd rather drive further to visit the Costa Mesa or Pasadena locations instead, I've never had bad experiences there. read more

I love these type of stores because they do a good job in picking out the trends! I buy clothes all the time and every so often you have to make a return. Any store can have stylish clothes and be helpful in picking out what to buy. But what customer service really comes down to is when things go bad. Went to return a blazer I purchased with a rip in it that was there when I puchased it ( my fault for not checking and their fault for not checking either). Spoke to to a fellow named Dajohn ( not sure how to spell it) Took 1 look at the jacket and said they can't accept it because it looked worn. Of course its when you put something on you or someone else will notice the flaww. Buy clothes from H&M they have a way better return policy!! I repeat buy clothes from H&M!! Same type of clothes for a bit cheaper that doesnt rip!! Even forverver 21 men has better service!! Stay away or at least from the Cerritos store because they will not take care of you. read more

I love shopping at Zara And I was thrilled that they were bringing one closer to my home. With that said I was amazed at the bad customer service I received. They obviously didn't get the memo that the customer is always right or at least not stupid. I was disgusted when I came to return my dads x mas gift a shirt for only a bigger size. I bought it with my credit card. I paid 60.00$ for it and they only wanted to give me a 29 credit for not having my receipt. i explained that they can check my bank statement and that i surely paid 60$ for it. they didn't care. They gave me some excuse that they cannot access it, on there System. I then asked for them to order the SAME shirt in a bigger size and they gave me another excuse on to why they couldn't. I was appalled at the fact that they didn't try to lift a finger to give me options. The only offensive thing they said was to go back home and look for my receipt. They need a better system for being a modern store. The manager was Jessica. She was talking to me in a sweet monotone voice the whole time, she definitely needs to take some classes on how to manage! I think they don't value returning customers. I am so disappointed at this location. I've been shopping @ Zara for 4 years & most of my money goes to that store. I was so excited when they opened one up at this mall because it's super close to my house but it just sucks how bad this location is. I've been there many times & yes the customer device sucks!! Like everyone else has said they don't even acknowledge you or ask how you are doing...nothing! That's not the worst part. A couple of days ago I had bought pants & a nice dress shirt to wear for Christmas Eve & I was so happy it's so cute, but the next day I noticed that there was a sensor on my pants. So I am furious, so it's 8:00PM & I get up & drive to the store & unfortunately I was treated so bad. The girl gave me a dirty look when I told her the sensor was still attached & it took 10 minutes to get it off because she thought I stole them!!! she was questioning me & looking up the numbers when I had my receipt I had just bought it the day before I came in!!! SHE WAS SO RUDE!!!! why would I steal a pie of pants that were $15 really?!?! And I had my receipt!!! I will not be shopping at this location ever again. I don't know who the girl was but she had a long ugly fish tail braid. don't even go into this store. You will find cute clothes but be treated horribly. Worst customer service!!! have been a shopper at zara for sometime now great clothes and quality. however customer service in and out of store is the worst ive ever had. when you go in the csr working look like if they sucked on a lemon right before talking to you no "hello" no thank you" nothing. over the phone they are slightly better however they arn't abel to process crap. ordered a shirt online, emailed me to go pick it up in store went wasnt there, a week later got the same email finally went and was abel to get it. didnt fit went to return it but the card i purchased it with is no longer active told me they couldnt do anything call the csr line. called csr line said they can refund me just as long as my account number remains the same to go back in to the store and do the refund!!! no one is on the same page!!!! ive been in and out several times for one damn shirt and it just gets worst. after this i will never go back to zara again. read more
