I absolutely love the store and fashion line here. The one caveat is find another opportunity rather than shopping in store. Would leave 0 stars if I could. This is a high volume shop yet they only ever 2-3 registers open (one upstairs and two downstairs) even though they have 6+ registers total. Expect a line that wraps around the store on both floors and clothes on the floor everywhere you look. The escalators don't even work half the time. The cashiers are perfectly nice but there's def a sense of ambivalence and boredom despite all the customers and clothes being tossed wherever. Carolina couldn't answer a single question I had including if a return and online order (that the helpful associate made for me to pay at the register) would be a single order or not. She also had no idea if it was an order for delivery. When I asked for the manager to provide helpful training feedback Carolina had only arguments and rudeness. Some people aren't trainable. I understand why everyone else gave such low ratings. This store management needs to take whatever approach they've used for training so far, rip it up and start over! Two back to back trips have left me super frustrated with their customer service. First trip, the cashier was very polite and friendly. But we required a manager to override an incorrectly priced item. (A pair of pants had a $49 tag, but my size in the same pants was marked $69-when the nice cashier rang it up it was $59!) The manager was so unprofessional before she even spoke to us. She was putting down the cashier verbally in front of us. She couldn't rectify the situation. I wish there is something below zero stars! I am 38+ pregnant woman, feets and hands already swollen. I am at the mall to check one store and go back. However, I wanted to try one item at zara really quickly, I told an assistant that in my condition I can't stand for so long! And that I wish he could offer somehelp by helping me skip the fitting room line and cashier line. "This is typical in Europe" he said that he doesn't think he can do anything as everyone is equal! I explained being almost 39 weeks pregnant could never be equal and it is actually a disability! I asked him to ask his Boss, he came back saying they can't do any thing as everyone is equal. He suggested I try the men's fitness room. I went, all men at the section staring at me I felt so embarrassed! Fitting room curtains had 1" gap on each side! How could a pregnant woman be comfortable changing at men's section with this gap! I requested the room at the end for at least some privacy! I felt very insulted in this Store! Zara has dropped their quality significantly. My wife bought a coat, only to get home and realize there are 3 buttons that are loose and one that's completely missing. We tried to return it to a different Zara, but that manager refused to accept it. He said it is too damaged to return and should never have been sold. Where is the accountability? Our only option was to go to the same store we bought it from, over an hour drive each way, and to have their manager decide how to handle the situation. Waited over 40 minutes to return an item. They have two cashier lines, one on each floor, but you can only return on the 1st floor. Maybe I'm coming at the busiest times but I always encounter ridiculous lines and it seems to be at every Zara I go to. Unfortunately, this is the first time I experienced negative encounter since I became a customer at Zara 6 years ago. The manager of the store was not understanding nor helpful. I shop in Zara all over the world and wanted to exchange an item that was bought outside the US but she refused to do it. All the other Zara stores do these exchanges with out an issue as long as you have a receipt and the item is not damaged or used. Note to the manager, you need to understand and deal with customers on a global scale, Zara is not only local to your area. Weekdays, week nights, and weekends.... This place always has a line with 1 or 2 max employees cashiering! I waited in line one day where there were only 2 cashiers. One cashier looked at the line to see 5 of us waiting in line and says, "It's ok, you can handle this." She then walked off. On another occasion, an employee came to the long line mentioning that the children's section would take customers. I sent my bf over to check it out and he said there was no one at the register. Imagine if I had gotten out of line. And lastly, I have to mention that I despise the fitting rooms at all Zara's. There is no privacy whatsoever. Even when I try to not peek, I end up staring at some random naked woman. Maybe it's for theft purposes? But I still hate it. I will take my business online. read more

Terrible management, terrible customer service. This store has three departments for Men, kids, and women and all of them has registers but the manager closes all of them and send the customers to just one register on women's department which causes super long line and wasting people's time. Seems like the main job qualification here is to have a bad attitude. I've never come across an employee here who is helpful, or at least pleasant. Got here at 6:30PM when the store closed at 7. I just needed to make a return. I waited in line, which wasn't very long. Several people walked out and the store employee refused to let people in. After questioning what the proper procedure was, he repeated the same phrase "we close at 7, not sure if you'll get it." Meanwhile at lest 10 people walked out, I was 5th in line, and no one was let in. Waited in line until about 6:45 and then gave up because not 1 person had been let in all that entire time. On that day the staff let me in because I didn't want anything. I just wanna return and pick up only. The next day 12/27, I come in to return some clothes that I pick up the day before. I just wanna return only. The staff didn't let me in, asked me to get in line. I wait 20 mins in line and she asked me that the store will close right now so she can not let me in the store and I need to come back again. I'm really disappointed with this customer service and the staff's attitude. She was really not polite. I tried to ask her many times but she just ignored me and treated me badly. One of the employees had to ask her manger for a permission to let me use the fitting room to try a shirt on. Great clothes. The fitting rooms are a little confusing to me because I've gone in since COVID-19 and they allowed try ons but then went again afterwards and they didn't have the fitting rooms open. Biggest complaint from other reviews is true, the line is ridiculous. One line downstairs to pay and make returns and occasionally they open the cashier upstairs to pay but no returns. Online pickup is easier but I never look forward to making the return if something doesn't fit. read more

But when she asked her manager a question about my item, the manager was so rude and gave me a dirty look for no reason. Absolutely horrendous customer service , DO NOT shop here if you like zara's brand because one employee in particular will ruin the complete company image, her name is CHLOE the one that has a curly style hair, it seems as if covid regulations have made her feel like a prison guard or some kind of authoritative figure, this woman walked up to me with my mother & my grandmother while we were in line We were moving perfectly with the line & waiting just like eveyone else, she raises her voice in the most direspectul manner and says " i told you to move back " while looking at me & my family in a discuted & threatening manner & waiving her hand in our faces. I thought maybe she was having a bad day despite her terrible behaviour, but i could not believe it, there were multiple instances where this woman showed the same behaviour and when i comfronted her and demanded that this is no way to treat customers she thretened to call security ( security guard was very nice and apologized ). I've never been to a single Zara that didn't look like it'd been ransacked during the apocalypse and this location was no different. To be honest, at this point it seems like I only go in Zaras to document the massive piles of crap they have lying around everywhere. If retail stores were subject to heath inspections the way restaurants were, this place would be shut down immediately. I know stores get busy, but you don't see clothes piles and chaos at any other stores that are equally busy with the same type of consumer. There's clearly zero quality control here and why would anyone want to buy anything from a store that doesn't care enough to pick their goods up off the ground or just generally treat their items like there's any value in them. Giving 2-stars because the setting here would actually be perfect for an episode of hoarders. They really know how to turn an otherwise really nice retail space into a grade-A sh*thole. read more

Recently my boyfriend and I came in to look for some jackets. I know currently there's stores that won't let you try on clothes because of covid. However, seeing a few people being able to do so in Zara, we thought it was ok and so my boyfriend tried on a jacket he really liked. A worker eventually came over and told us we weren't allowed to try on clothes because of quarantine. She grabbed the jacket, rudely and quickly ran through the store as if we had contaminated the jacket and someone was going to die if it were to be in plain sight any longer. Come on.. you may as well close the whole damn store and not let anyone in because everyone's touching and trying on your god damn clothes, not just us lady. read more

Poor service. My fiancé wanted to try on an overcoat and we were rudely told we couldn't. When we asked if there were fitting rooms or anything the service rep said "we don't do that here." I get that there's a pandemic going on, but your hands are already all over the items. This was literally the only place we couldn't try items on. We tried on and bought items at express, American eagle and Macy's and it wasn't an issue. After talking to the rude rep we went over to them men's side as I was there to try on suit separates. I'm not one for buying stuff without trying on, especially after gaining the COVID 15, so I left empty handed. What really bothered me was that on the men's side there were several guests without masks trying stuff on and staff were doing nothing about it. Not sure why they can't keep standards for their staff uniform. Some places just don't like making money I guess. At least the store was clean. read more

For Zara stores, this location is a good sized space with two floors. The displays were organized and the clothes were neatly folded (unlike other stores during the holidays). I snuck in here with only 20 minutes to spare and found a turtle neck sweater that caught my eye. Since I was pinched for time, I tried it on right next to the floor display and ran to the mirror while leaving my handbag unattended. The horror, I know. All was well when I looked in the mirror (handbag still in sight) and the sweater fit perfect.. For $26+ tax, Score!! I walked over to the cash wrap where I waited for 15 minutes because there was only one cashier ringing up customers. While I knew it wouldn't help to make a fuss, I was secretly practicing what I call "the art of patience." This is why I had to take off one star. Other than that, I love Valley Fair and all of its offerings. Can't seem to keep away from this place. read more

LOVE, LOVE THIS STORE! If you're walking from the first floor entrance, the men's section is on the second floor so you have to go up the escalator. The whole store was clean when I went. I loved the aesthetic scene of this store. The employees were all friendly towards me and greeted me with a smile, which I loved. It seemed like they enjoyed working there. Zara's clothes was also sold at a reasonable price for their quality. You could tell that this store is currently a trend-setter and it doesn't follow most fashion store's season cycle because they change their inventory much quicker (I would say between a couple weeks to a month). It's simple, yet intriguing. It's displayed strategically so that the display doesn't look crowded. If it doesn't look crowded, the consumer has a mentality that there's not a lot left, thus increasing the chance of the consumer of buying the product. The CEO of Zara, Óscar Pérez Marcote, is one of the most brilliant man just because he not only revolutionized the whole industry, but he also surpassed Warren Buffet on the most richest person of all time! read more

As many of the other post If I could give this store a zero I would. The manager Maria was extremely rude. I had a defective item that was 5 days over the 30 day return policy. (I had all intentions to keep it). Two days before this I grabbed my jacket from the hanger to wear it and one of buttons went flying off. I had only previously worn once. An $80 jacket is something that I take really good care of which is why it had only been worn once. You can see the string was loose from where the button was. The store employee was going to return it but needed the manager approval and the manager automatically denied the return because it's past the 30 days. If it wasn't because of the button I fully intended to keep it. How am I going to spend $80 on a defective jacket that was only worn once? It's crazy the way the management is there. They have definitely lost a customer. I will never be going back. I will be calling customer service to report this tomorrow as they are closed right now. It's absurd read more

It has happened twice in a row that I ordered something from Zara online or in store and shipment never arrived. This latest shipment was ordered in San Francisco store and the delivery eats image was 6/4 in this valley fair store. The status says shipped and Store says we dont have it. Zara should not take customer orders online or the orders they don't have in stores to avoid shipping. Seriously their shipping and tracking process is in Medieval ages. No one knows where the package is and the customer gets burn out in the entire process. I would recommend dont ware time with Zara with shipments, they won't arrive or maybe you receive them posthumously if you get lucky. The shipping people in charge should be held responsible for this and their bonuses should be tied with this below par performance. You guys pretty much are below par when it comes to shipping and receiving when compared to other brands. read more
