My family and I live nearby and finally decided to check this place out. When you walk in, you head up the stairs and suddenly you're standing in a massive humidor with enough cigar options to make even the most decisive person question their entire identity. Luckily, we already know what we like to smoke, so we weren't in there long. But if you're new to cigars, they're great at playing cigar-matchmaker and pointing you in the right direction. To use the lounge, there's a $10 cover charge, which they fancy up by calling it a "Day Pass." They allow outside food but not outside drinks. Naturally, we summoned Uber Eats like the hungry champions we are, and it was glorious. Inside, you've got TVs everywhere for whatever you want to watch, plus a pool table, shuffleboard, and plenty of indoor and outdoor spots to post up and relax. We hung out for about three hours, and they even reminded us we could come back later since the day pass covers re-entry. Basically, it's the theme park wristband of cigar lounges. The $10 also goes toward a beer or a well drink, so of course we grabbed Cuba Libres (aka Rum and Cokes, for the uninitiated). We'll definitely be back! read more

Went here recently with a friend of mine of over 20 years. We always pass by it and decided to try it. The place definetly has a vast selection of cigars to choose from and for a reasonable price. The lounge itself has a perfect atmosphere, plenty of places to sit, pool table, and card table. It also has a stocked bar. We had the place to ourselves and spent the better part of three hours in there and didn't even notice. Amazing cigar lounge! I have been a customer of Zarkas for 10-12yrs. They have the fullest line of cigars of any place I've been to. The private lounge is a real gem. So I was in the area and happened to stop by about three different cigar lounges. All were great except here. I walked in and to be honest I got up stairs and looked around and thought it was a weed shop. (Not looking for weed either). The lady greeted us, with my mention of the security cameras and felt that she needed to tell me how good the security is. I was then showed the humidor which she then followed me in as if I was a criminal and to be honest I don't even look like a criminal raised by a marine which is noticeable. I was then told not touch anything after I had touched one cigar and thought it was straight dust on it. By the way I thought this place was a hole in a wall and they're going out of business or something. To give context. She then told me they don't allow anyone to touch the cigars and that the reason was that people had come in there to smash the cigars and they had to discard a bunch of boxes of cigars because of it. I call BS I never have been to a cigar lounge and ever heard of a story like that. Anyway I never bought anything with everything being overly priced and had mold on everything cigar which is a touchy subject most would argue there "aged/plume". read more

This place is decent a little dirty for my liking (a little under staffed the day I went). The cigar section is OK I'll touch over priced but when you buy a ticket to go on the lounge, they give you one drink free, which is a nice gesture. I purchased a few cigars from the humidor, and I brought a couple of my own, which the bartender frowned upon. Another great time at Zarka Cigar Lounge. Great hospitality that never disappoints. The atmosphere and customer service is fantastic. I visited my first time here 4 years ago, my Daughter and Son-in-law had their wedding here at a local winery, so being in town and being the cigar enthusiast that I am, had to find a local cigar lounge in the area to patron. Zarka came up on Yelp, which is the main way I find cigar lounges in the area I'm visiting and mind you the ratings are very important to me, Zarka had great reviews and still do I might add, and the first time I visited was phenomenal, I met the owner at that time which was very personable and great to talk with. It's like becoming instant friends and that is what a cigar lounge should be, and Zarka definitely does that. Also, the lady that is in the front guiding you to cigars is so nice, I can't say enough great things about Zarka Cigar Lounge. So I said all that to say this, after 4 years I've come full circle, my Daughter and Son-in-law now have bought a house in Temecula and love it here, now that Temecula is my home away from home while I'm visiting family, Zarka is my definite stop while I'm here visiting. The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable. The lounge has a full bar and very laid back atmosphere. If I lived near here I would definitely become a member. Great place, very large humidor with lots of choices. Unfortunately it is in California and they have a 53% tax on cigars, so they can be a bit pricey. But it is one of the few lounges I have found that has a full bar and pool tables. Send you wife and friends to the wineries and stay here and enjoy a good bourbon and a fine cigar read more

First lounge I've been to where I left and my clothes do not smell like cigars. Great ventilation system.

No access to the retail for disabled customers, and no access to the lower levels without paying a fee in addition to the retail that you cannot see. I arrived and was told that there was no menu, really kind of was left with the impression that they didn't need my business... So I guess I'll just take it elsewhere. I told him I was looking for a 45 minute. I wouldn't have gotten out of there for less than 25 -30 bucks.... The lady really was not too helpful . I was immediately told that my water cup was not welcome into the facility. Not a problem with that, just kind of the way it was Put out there .... (Obtuse) Personally, I'll spend my money elsewhere. This five star review is solely for the ONLY bartender/cigar connoisseur/cashier who was running the show on a semi-busy Saturday evening. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name :( but she was efficient and very sweet... Even though she had to juggle a million things at once. Hoping this review will catch the management's attention and ensure that next time, the cigar lounge is adequately staffed for Fridays and the weekend. It's not fair for only one person to be running up and down the stairs-- bartending downstairs and recommending cigars upstairs. I moved down the street from Zarka's in January of 2011 and had been going ever since. I know Zack and Zack knows me. We would shake hands every time we'd see each other. Once Zack moved Zarka's, I stopped going as regularly. The location is bigger, but there is almost never anyone in there anymore and you can't have Mr. Kabob walk food over like they used to. I went in on the 31st of July, 2023, with a friend from the military and his future father-in-law. I introduced myself to the new employee and asked if she knew how to make Old Fashioneds. She said yes. I asked her if Jxxxx trained her. She said yes, and I laughed and told her I trained Jxxxx when she first started. I told her I'd been coming there about 15 years and Zack and I knew each other from me coming. With knowing that I was a long time customer, she still proceeded to following behind me in the humidor. I felt like she was watching to make sure that I didn't take anything, which is interesting because the humidor alone probably has 6 security cameras. I asked if I could touch a cigar and she said no, she would handle it for me and I could only inspect it after I paid for it. I found a novelty size of Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial I didn't know existed, a 7x70, so I bought that for fun. I also purchased a small cigar box for $50. I was having issues with relighting such a big ring gauge and I was worried about my personal cigars cooking in the car in the middle of the day, so I went out to my car to get my traveling humidor with my 3 flame lighter inside. When I opened the box and took the lighter out, the employee noticed my cigars and told me I would have to pay $10 per cigar if I wanted to keep my humidor in the lounge. I told her that I knew there was a $10 cut fee to SMOKE outside cigars, but I promised not to smoke them and that I was only going to use my lighter. She returned and said that she talked to Zack and he was watching on the cameras. She said he knows who I am, but I have to either let her hold onto the travel humidor or take it out to the car. I told her I wasn't planning on touching the cigars, so she was welcome to hold it for me. She seemed surprised I took her up on the offer and left. She returned saying she talked to Zack again and he said I needed to take it out to my car. I said that Zack knows me and that I have been a good customer for about 15 years, how many decades does it take to trust someone? Especially when he's watching me on camera (according to her). I told her that I understood the $10 cut fee that has existed since I started going there to SMOKE outside cigars, but I wasn't going to smoke them, and I wasn't going to leave them in my hot car. I said, "How many decades do I need to go somewhere before I can be trusted?" She once again told me to take it to my car and I politely said no (both not to cook my personal cigars in the car and out of principle). She then said, "Ok, then I'm going to have to ask you to leave". I'm so grateful other lounges exist in the area that trust their regulars and treat us with respect. I didn't spend a career serving the country to be treated like a child or a criminal, especially somewhere I have gone for almost 15 years. Sorry it had to end like this, Zack. First time going inside. Have driven past it a million times as my business is right down the road. Fe the outside always looks like nobody there not much of a curb appeal, which I'm assuming is kind of done on purpose. But after going inside with a few friends was blown away at how cool and underground this place is. Sure it's 10 bucks but 5 goes towards a drink. Large walk in humidor with nice selection and super friendly staff helping us out. After you get a cigar, they take you down to the lounge which is super impressive. Large bar with great beer and booze selection Couches. TV'S. Pool table. Have a nice poker table but unfortunately they say you can use it for even a friendly game with friends. Great place for beginners like me. Pretty self explanatory. Go upstairs, get a cigar. Someone is always there to help, very nice staff and they know their shtick. After that they ask if u want to chill in the lounge for 10 bucks but a well drink is included. So i would say it's worth. Bunch of stuff to do in the lounge like pool, shuffleboard, foosball, bunch of tv's. So many couches to chill on. You can also bring your own food (no outside drinks). 5/5 for me. read more

After going to Zarka's numerous times over the last 6-7 years I have finally had the last straw last week. For those of you who don't know, Zarka's is a big beautiful lounge with a very large walk in humidor....but going to this place will make you feel unwelcome and feel like you are a criminal. Once you enter the building you will be followed around everywhere you go. If you enter the walk in humidor you will be followed around in there as well. You are not allowed to touch the cigars i. The humidor or they will accuse you are stealing (which almost happened to me). Once you want to actually go into the lounge they have to enter a password to unlock the door and you will be followed in there as well. A day pass to have access to the lounge is supposed to provide you will one free house drink or selected beer but somehow we ended up being charged for drinks even though we ordered a "house" old fashioned. On a side note ( this is my personal opinion) but every single time i have been in, there have been no more than 4 people. It makes me wonder how they stay in business and how they make money. With that said, you can make your own conclusion on what this horribly run lounge is used for. I recommend going to old town cigar lounge. It's smaller but there you will feel welcomed and will not be followed around like a criminal. Or find another lounge in general. I promise you will be happier. read more

No only reason this place gets one point, is because it's a lovely place to look at. But the fact is if you want to buy a cigar have to pay a $10 smoking fee to smoke the cigar in the lounge. Local business owner here - Driven by this place 100 times and decided to give it a shot. I like reviews but also know when to take them with a grain of salt. I read about this place online and decided to go in with an open mind and a neutral opinion and find out for myself just what this place was about. I am terrible with names but I was greeted by very friendly female who's name I believe starts with a "J". I informed her that although I am not a cigar "aficionado" I do enjoy the occasional stogey and was mostly here to get my feet wet about with the establishment and was the deal is. She was very friendly and welcoming and explained how they work. She explained how there's a lounge with a full bar and that yes, it's $10.00 to enter, but it comes with a drink and it's a DAY PASS and you can be there for however long you liked. She then ESCORTED me - not "followed" or "prowled around" me into the humidor. I was informed to please not touch the cigars, and although I do find it a bit odd - I can also appreciate it because I don't know if I'd want to smoke a cigar 10, 20, or 30 people have touched. She then asked what my price point was an type of smoke I enjoyed and then showed me about a dozen cigars she thought I would enjoy and picked what she recommended. She definitely knows what she was talking about because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I then was ran up. The cigar was in my price point, paid the $10.00 day pass, and even bought a hat to help support a local small business. After she ran me up, she then escorted me downstairs to the lounge and holy cow what a surprise. Everything you think when you think "cigar lounge" is what this place is. Big comfy couches, VERY COMFORTABLE bar stools, cool décor, the works. She showed me where the cigar cutter and matches are, and immediately asked what I was drinking. Shortly later I was drinking my corona, enjoying a great cigar, and reading my book in peace and quiet. Now, I was there during a "slow time" I'm sure, so I can't review how it was "packed". I will say this, I enjoy going to bars, some when they are busy, some when they are quiet and I enjoy the qualities of each. I REALLY enjoyed the atmosphere here. To preface this - I've smoked cigars in some of the best lounges in Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, New York and Las Vegas. This place is a hilariously awesome find tucked into the industrial center of Temecula. There are some quirks which may put first timers off but once understood make perfect sense. The retail shop upstairs boasts one of the largest humidors I've ever been in. The owner is very professional and acts more as a sommelier than a typical cigar shop sales person. His inventory is really impressive and he has just about anything you would ask for. Huge quantities of Padrons, Opus X and other hard to find top shelf sticks. With all of this inventory, much of which is not wrapped in cellophane - it makes sense they ask customers to not pick up or touch the cigars. The owner is more than happy to work with you on finding the right smoke. The lounge below is a private club, but does sell day passes for $10, which come with a beverage. This is another thing that may put first timers off but once inside it's pretty obvious that a lot of time and money is put into the atmosphere, sofas, and ventilation of the lounge. This is not a couple couches in a smoke shop. The bar has a lot of top shelf bourbon and tequila that you'd be hard pressed to find in a high end steakhouse with the ambiance to match . The management of these place seems to be very methodical about what type of customer they cater to and as such you will read reviews of people that either love it or hate it. If you are looking for a place to buy a cigar and have a quick smoke, you'd be better served going to a local smoke shop. If you're looking for a real private cigar lounge experience like you would get in the Havana Room or other high end establishments, this is it. read more
