    TLC Southern Chicken Combo
    Tammy M.

Easy access. We stopped by after shopping at HT across the street. We don't eat fast food that often but Zaxby's current TV promo is what roped us in. We both had the southern fried chicken sandwich combo. A bite of the sandwich was kind of bland at first. But ........we ask for some of their "intense sauce". WOW !!! If you like spicy you must try this sauce. Super delicious. The fries were crisp and fresh. Service was quick and everything was clean. What more can you ask for from a fast food place. Two thumbs up !

This my go-to Zaxby's and it's pretty good most of the time. The customer service has been A+ lately so props to management. The food has always been fresh and I don't recall once when I received cold food. The lines can get a bit long during lunch but it means "fresh food". I like to beat the rush by getting there around 11:30 a.m. Overall, the price point is perfect for the amount of food that you get. This is definitely a great place to visit if you are craving wings for lunch.

Dry chicken & fries. That ketchup did NOT help AT ALL.

DRY & HOT!!! As long as we waited in that drive thru line today, I expected my food to be fresh & delicious. Well, it WAS hot, but it was SO DRY! The chicken strips were rubbery & overcooked, and the fries were like potato chips. You would have had to drown your food in sauce just to get it down your throat. What a waste of money. I'm giving them a 2 star because the best part was my toast. Get it together Zaxby's!!!

The food and service at this Zaxbys is so bad that it is almost, at all times, worth it to drive to the other location on Hillsborough St.

I tell myself every time that I'm going to try something new--but I just can't help it, it's that good. I get it with the house-made chipotle ranch (which is amazing) and usually add chicken. The dressing really brings everything together, and I recommend getting it on the side if you don't plan to finish the salad right away--it helps keep everything fresh. The only downside is the price--adding protein can make the bowl a bit expensive--but honestly, I'm willing to pay more for high-quality, fresh ingredients. (Great WiFi!) The interior is glass on two sides, so it very bright, and appointed with comfy chairs with waist-high dividers around the bar and small table area. My friend arrived at 5:15 as promised and we were escorted to a table further down the building. The bartender brought my bill to the table later, and I asked if it could be added to the total but he said no. I had read about the pimento cheese wontons, so we decided to try those as a starter. They arrived hot and dressed with a red pepper jelly sauce. (Not too hot, a nice foil to the pimento cheese!) My friend liked them as well. Neither of us are eating large meals these days, so we opted to share an entree. We decided on the NY Strip steak ($38) which comes with smoked potato au gratin and collard greens. We tried to sub the greens for anything else, and the only other option was Brussels sprouts. (Green beans? Broccoli? Asparagus? Anything else? Nope, just stinky stuff.) So, stinky veggies were the only option. (We asked the waiter not to bring them, but they arrived anyway, and we had someone remove them quickly!) The potato's turned out to be more a chunky soup, rather than a casserole, but were tasty. Just difficult to share. (No spoons were offered for the soup!) The steak was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection (rare/medium rare) with a nice finishing sauce, and was just enough. Somehow, that steak, the wonton app ($11) and a regular house marg were billed at $88 after tax, which meant over $100 with tip, but I was enjoying my friend's company too much to dispute the bill. After I left, I did the math and figure they charged extra for something in there. But I was gone and never take the receipt, because most waitstaff do a good job of putting info into the POS system. Maybe I need to reassess my trust of waitstaff data entry. Suffice it to say this will not be a regular spot I go to. Stinky veggies, poor data entry and sides that can't easily be shared made for a sour first impression. The steak was good, but I can't find that extra $30 in anything, unless it was the toxic veggie disposal fee.

She asked where we would feel most comfortable sitting! The restaurant is situated in an adorable little house! There were a few small rooms indoors and two diff outdoor areas! We chose to try indoors to begin with! I had already called in advance cause I have a pretty severe allergy I needed to make sure they could change things and accommodate for! They were more than happy to be able to do so as everything is made per order! My aunt knows I love a good sangria and wherever we go she always inquires immediately if they have it! They didn't BUT Zoe came right back over, asked how I like my sangria and with what type of wine and said they could make me one! Shortly thereafter we had met Han, the manager, what a delightful and respectable manager who knows how to handle any and all situations! We had now decided we would like to sit outside even tho it was very hot out! She said let me get your things and she then said how about this little private room indoors as she wanted us most comfortable! Even tho my puppy is a service animal the only other couple in that room made a stink immediately and I said let's just go sit outside under the fans and on the deck! Han brought everything out asked about drinks as I had decided to cancel mine but on second thought decided I'd have one! She asked if I like it on the sweeter side etc! Not only was it delicious but the waitress upon bringing it over let me know immediately it was on the house! The food wasn't rushed but came in a very nice and timely manner and with beautiful presentations and the taste of everthing from our appetizers to our mains was of the highest quality! Zoe, Han and even the person who poured our water were the nicest as was the other couple sitting on the patio with us! Overall I'd give MCAsian Cuisine a five star rating and can't wait to return on my next trip to see my Aunt and I know she can't wait to return even before then!
