    TLC Southern Chicken Combo

Easy access. We stopped by after shopping at HT across the street. We don't eat fast food that often but Zaxby's current TV promo is what roped us in. We both had the southern fried chicken sandwich combo. A bite of the sandwich was kind of bland at first. But ........we ask for some of their "intense sauce". WOW !!! If you like spicy you must try this sauce. Super delicious. The fries were crisp and fresh. Service was quick and everything was clean. What more can you ask for from a fast food place. Two thumbs up !

This my go-to Zaxby's and it's pretty good most of the time. The customer service has been A+ lately so props to management. The food has always been fresh and I don't recall once when I received cold food. The lines can get a bit long during lunch but it means "fresh food". I like to beat the rush by getting there around 11:30 a.m. Overall, the price point is perfect for the amount of food that you get. This is definitely a great place to visit if you are craving wings for lunch.

Dry chicken & fries. That ketchup did NOT help AT ALL.

DRY & HOT!!! As long as we waited in that drive thru line today, I expected my food to be fresh & delicious. Well, it WAS hot, but it was SO DRY! The chicken strips were rubbery & overcooked, and the fries were like potato chips. You would have had to drown your food in sauce just to get it down your throat. What a waste of money. I'm giving them a 2 star because the best part was my toast. Get it together Zaxby's!!!

Good food, but wait time & price are my biggest qualms. The buffaloe-blue salad is probably my favorite.

Zaxby's is Zaxby's and we always look forward to it. But the cashier was very polite and it was clean.

(Great WiFi!) The interior is glass on two sides, so it very bright, and appointed with comfy chairs with waist-high dividers around the bar and small table area. My friend arrived at 5:15 as promised and we were escorted to a table further down the building. The bartender brought my bill to the table later, and I asked if it could be added to the total but he said no. I had read about the pimento cheese wontons, so we decided to try those as a starter. They arrived hot and dressed with a red pepper jelly sauce. (Not too hot, a nice foil to the pimento cheese!) My friend liked them as well. Neither of us are eating large meals these days, so we opted to share an entree. We decided on the NY Strip steak ($38) which comes with smoked potato au gratin and collard greens. We tried to sub the greens for anything else, and the only other option was Brussels sprouts. (Green beans? Broccoli? Asparagus? Anything else? Nope, just stinky stuff.) So, stinky veggies were the only option. (We asked the waiter not to bring them, but they arrived anyway, and we had someone remove them quickly!) The potato's turned out to be more a chunky soup, rather than a casserole, but were tasty. Just difficult to share. (No spoons were offered for the soup!) The steak was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection (rare/medium rare) with a nice finishing sauce, and was just enough. Somehow, that steak, the wonton app ($11) and a regular house marg were billed at $88 after tax, which meant over $100 with tip, but I was enjoying my friend's company too much to dispute the bill. After I left, I did the math and figure they charged extra for something in there. But I was gone and never take the receipt, because most waitstaff do a good job of putting info into the POS system. Maybe I need to reassess my trust of waitstaff data entry. Suffice it to say this will not be a regular spot I go to. Stinky veggies, poor data entry and sides that can't easily be shared made for a sour first impression. The steak was good, but I can't find that extra $30 in anything, unless it was the toxic veggie disposal fee.

This pizza was disappointing due to the presence of a greasy taste, which perhaps was from the crumbled meat trio. The amount of meat for the price was very low and although the crust was good and the other ingredients were good, that greasy taste was very distracting. The second pizza was the Why Not, a white pineapple pizza with prosciutto, pickled chilis (which we put on the side and didn't eat), mozzarella and pecorino cheeses. We found this pizza to be excellent with strong cheese flavors and very good prosciutto. The third main dish was the Wood Fired Cauliflower sandwich, with charred onions, serrano (which we did not include), arugula and tofu whip. The sandwich was excellent and I recommend it to the vegetarians reading this. Our dessert was the tiramisu, which was very good and a decent size. Overall, the pizzas were good (except for the Amat), but overpriced. The sandwich and dessert were excellent.
