Good Lord. Where to start? Ordered a sandwich with extra pickles and sandwich meal with no pickles. Not really rocket science ..right ?? Got a sandwich with cheese and a meal with sandwich missing cheese and bacon. Charged meal price for sandwich only , then marked as meal , sandwich only on receipt-which for some reason means a spicy sandwich alone rang up as $7.34. Meal price minus $.85 Ok. That's probably because the girl taking the order was about as incompetent as you can get running a drivethru window. I'm blaming the so called manager. Decided to check and make sure no pickles on my sandwich. Lol. No pickles. And no bacon. And no cheese. Well I just paid $17 and change for it so really want to get what I overpaid for ---principal and all that. Go back in and say hey. Sandwich is wrong. They remake. We leave and get back on I-95. 2 mins down road and realize fries are cold as stone and my " fixed " sandwich now has cheese , 1 "Slice " of burnt bacon pieces( beyond burnt--more like bottom of bacon pan scraps ) and pickles. I don't want pickles. Also both sandwich's are barely room temperature..plus cold fries ?? Burnt bacon ?? Nope. Not this time. I want my money back. This is beyond ridiculous Once again ....rocket science. ( I know. How stupid am I for not checking when they " fixed " it before I left ) So beyond pissed , turn around on I-95 go back and go inside and ask WTF !! Really. You screwed up our order for a second time ?? We come back and this is how you fix it ?? Manager ( I assume --idk. 400 lb white dude ) could not have cared any less. Was a smart ass when he gave us our money back , which we spent with their competitor -chick fil a. And chick fil a actually got our order right. Will never visit this zaxby. I'm beyond frustrated with the service we received at this location tonight! We waiter in line from 9:41pm to 9:59pm behind only 4 cars. Once we reached the point where we could order, she said "one second," then once the time said 10pm, she got back on the intercom and said "I'm sorry we're closed." When we tried to explain when we got to the location and that we were ready to order at 9:59 she just kept replying with "I'm sorry we're closed". I don't get upset often, but that was 100% calculated! And I'm beyond pissed! I do plan to follow up with a manager and reach out to someone higher up! Drive through is incredibly slow. Time waiting at ordering station was very long. Then they made all the cars drive up from pick up window to make window time look better. Had 4 cars pulled up waiting on orders. Food was typical Zaxby's and was good. That's the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Employees were not very friendly as well. read more

After driving more than 500 miles and sitting in a car for 9 hours, we needed some food and since the restaurant was next to the hotel we tried it. The club sandwich was not greasy and came with fries and a drink. Again, after a long travel day, it was good and filling. It's cold in here. Bring a sweater. I had to go back out to the car to grab sweatshirts for the children because they were shivering. I'm in an oversized knit sweater and I'm tucking my hands in because my fingers are so cold. The food is okay. Staff are very friendly. Service was slow but that's because they are understaffed and it's busy. They are working their butts off back there. Props to them! Fries aren't impressive... tastes a little like they didn't refresh the oil recently. Chicken is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I like the pickles and sauce. The table is sticky and dirty, and one of the few they have open. I'd give it a try again, but I'm thinking their standards are just a little low, so it won't be my first pick. read more

I usually stop at this particular location when I'm traveling but I felt alienated as I walked into this particular Zaxby's today. There's a table in front of the counter. They have plexi glass up why the table? We cannot make our own drinks, an associate has to. They have tables blocking off the drink machines with a person there to make your drink. I explained that I was a truck driver it's impossible to drive my truck in that tight spot!! It didn't matter I was told to walk through and place my order. Who's liable if a car hit me?? Ate here while traveling through Florence. First there was an employee standing close to the drive through speaker box that was screaming at someone in her phone. We ordered two 3 piece strip meals. One with ranch and the other with Zaxby sauce and two drinks. We pull to pick up our order and the girl working the window was pleasant enough. I asked for butter, you would have thought I was from Mars but I understand. We got back to our room, no silver ware, hard to get slaw without it. No ranch or Zaxby sauce but 2 honey mustards. Painfully SLOW. If you go between 12 and 1 pm for lunch, plan to wait - a really long time. We placed an order for 3 sandwiches at 12:24 according to our receipt. Finally, at 12:55, our number was called and the order was ready. Thirty minutes for food and the restaurant wasn't even completely full. No apology. Plus, the toast was really greasy. This isn't the first time we've waited a ridiculous length of time for an order at this Zaxby's. But, it will be the last time we eat here for a long time. Lots of people who had placed orders were waiting around for their orders. During the busy lunch hour, they often cannot keep up with emptying the trash, refilling tea pitchers, refilling the ketchup dispenser, replenishing napkins, or wiping off tables. As fast food restaurants go, Zazby's is better than most, hence the 4-star Fast Food rating. Had the chicken tenders, an order of three, which comes with fries and garlic bread toast. The chicken tenders were very tender and moist. The Zazby's menu offers salads and sandwiches as well. The Signature Tea is really just sweet tea and they taste all the same to me. I will give them a minus because if you want an extra dipping sauce it cost .50 cents. Sorta lame. If my travels take me South into the Carolina's, I'd stop again. Their fried chicken was ok. My mother in law didn't care for it. She said it was too salty. My teriyaki boneless wings were average but ... Fried pickles! I was happy to see fried pickles on the menu, ordered them, didn't eat them. They were the greasiest tasteless things. My husband said, "They weren't that bad." In other words if you are starving on a deserted island you be elated to find them. The staff was nice enough. They were tired but ok. I don't think I'd go there again. This was only my second time to go to a Zaxbys. The other time was in Florida and they were a little better than this one. As a fast food chain I wouldn't eliminate them. Their Zaxbys sauce is pretty good. Wish the fried pickles were better. read more

Super busy and chaotic. Not a pleasant first impression. The cashier was very friendly and helpful but...I was VERY upset when my grandson got his chicken tender meal. The box was not hot, the chicken at first touch was not hot so I gave it to my grandson. He screamed bloody murder. I touched the inside of the tender and it was scorching hot! Like just pulled out of the fryer hot. I wish they put a sticker "caution hot" or held it back but to give them to a 3 yr old was hard to watch. I know, o know, im sure someone is thinking well, you should've known better. But his mom and I BOTH felt the chicken but it was not hot otherwise I would NOT have given this to him! I had never been to a Zaxby's before, so I stopped at one for lunch as an opportunity to try their food. The decor is slightly upscale for an order-at-the-counter restaurant, but that just makes it more comfortable and relaxing to sit. I ordered the 4-piece chicken fingers combo, which is just that, with coleslaw as my side, and a bunch of starch (aka fries and toast). I thought the fries could have been a bit crisper, and on first bite I thought they were too salty. Then I realized it was a seasoned salt, and it really did enhance the taste of the fries. I thought the Zaxby sauce in the packet was okay, but I would have liked to see it kicked up a notch or two. I liked that they have one of the high-tech coke machines including their own soft drink variations, but I opted for their branded ice tea. I have no idea how commercial vs. homemade it might be, but it's certainly better than the same thing you get at equivalent (or larger) chains. But the best part was the chicken tenders themselves, quite large and very juicy. These very definitely made the meal, and if I'm at one again, I'll know to order a combo with a larger number of the chicken fingers. read more

Everyone at this store were extremely rude. I went through the drive thru and they made me pull to a parking spot and wait 20 minutes for my food. I asked for ranch at the window and didn't get any in my bags. So when they lady brought out my food and drinks, she didn't bring me two of my drinks so I asked her about that. She gave me an attitude and went inside to get the drinks. When she came back out I told her they didn't put ranch in my bag and she said "well then you'll have to get out your car and go inside and get it." The point of a drive thru is to not leave your vehicle and to get the food and leave. I was on break for work and getting my co workers food as well. My break ran over because of this issue and then I had to also wait for 10 minutes inside just for ranch because everyone was ignoring me. 0/10 do NOT recommend. Ambiance was ok. My husband enjoyed his chicken fingers, and wanted me to note that they were predipped in sauce, which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the fries and the coleslaw. Definitely a decent option right of highway 95. read more

The food was delicious. The restaurant is clean as can be. What really made my experience phenomenal though, was the service. Specifically, Courtney. This is hard to write because I have always liked Zaxby's since I first ate there in college and it was always good........until today. The service was extremely poor and the food was equally as bad. Ive been here for lunch on a busy day in the middle of a week. The pricing and the menu options are good. We took a wing combo that comes with toast wings and some veggies.
