Zaxby's This was the 1st time I have ever been to a Zaxby's. They have lots of Salads, Chicken Fingers, Chicken Sandwiches and even Veggie Egg Rolls on the menu. I got Zaxby's Signature Sandwich, and my wife got what's called the House Zalad and the Veggie Egg Rolls. Ordering was easy at the front counter and our food came out quick. My Sandwich and Crinkle Fries were ok noting super special about them. My wife's Salad was huge and lots it items and they all looked fresh and tasted great. The Veggie Eggs Rolls were a little well done for our liking. I found the food here to be ok, but the Salad was a step above for sure. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars. Saw ads for this place on vacation here in SWF and decided to try it. Got the Surf & Turf that we saw on TV. Chicken and shrimp were tasty enough, same for the fries. Food seemed to be prepared fine and the staff was really nice. The reason for the 3 star review is the sheer amount of sodium in EVERYTHING. I mean everything. The fries have "seasoning", the shrimp and chicken batter both have tons of salt. Even tasted like the Coke freestyle machine has salt in it, but that could just be from my taste buds being burned by the point I took a drink. I don't think I'd be able to eat here more than 2/year based on intaking that much sodium in one sitting. I'm a bigger guy and don't leave much on plates very often, I ended up throwing over half my meal in the trash because of the high salt. Zaxby's, if you're listening, it might be good to back off the salt a bit and offer packets if people want more. read more

Service was good, prompt and efficient but unfortunately the food standards for Zaxbys has gone down tremendously. The only thing holding this review at a 3 stars is the service. I haven't been to Zaxbys in a while so from how I remember the quality of food being an over year or two ago compared today was pretty disappointing. I remember really thick juicy chicken fingers but today we got some floppy skinny weird looking chicken fingers lol. The taste and flavor were still good but the quality of meat has gone down. Zaxbys used to be one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite when we were on that side of town. Service and food both have gone down hill. Chicken strips were much smaller than previous times, and so so salty. French fries have remained the same and were good. Disappointed the mushrooms are no longer an item. VERY disappointed! My daughter and I decided to go to zaxby's because we just LOVE that Zac Sauce. We went through the drive through and we order two big Zax Snaks with 2 extra zac sauces for 25 cents EACH. The wait time was pretty long and the service wasn't great. One of the workers said a cuss word while we were waiting and my daughter heard. Yikes. When we finally get our order we went home just to find out we got no Zax Sauce. Really Zaxbys on Cleaveland... I've been to a couple of Zaxby's back in my old home town of Louisville Ky, so I have a certain expectation for the food... As in ALL the food should be hot and edible,‍ Sorry to say this particular restaurant failed. Customer service is kinda like " what do you want cause Really I DON'T wanna take your order but I have to" but I know most businesses are having trouble finding people to actually she up so I take that the norm for a while. Next the dining room SMELLED like cross between dirty water & mildew, not a great start but again it's the only Zaxby's around so I thought maybe their just having an issue or an off day..... not the case. The Coke freestyle machine "the one with touchscreen that allows you to pick your flavors" was all but outta flavors save Fanta and Ginger ale... Now the food: Chicken strips were hot, toast was Cold and hard, Fries were luke warm and soggy.. I also got boneless wings but I threw them away because they tasted funny. Overall it was a horrible experience & I recommend you avoid this place unless your just really feeling the Zack sauce, otherwise just drive a bit further down Cleveland Avenue and hit hooters or PDQ, it'll be times better. read more

Zaxby's used to be a great place when I moved here in 2019! I have eaten here over the years 2020/2021/2022 & 2023. I kind of don't go there anymore because it's fast food, but the only thing that I eat there really is the chicken bacon ranch loaded fries which are pretty good and they're cheap! So I had went into Zaxby's on Wednesday 4/23/25, I had ordered the boneless wing meal! I was waiting for my food got my drink and then next thing you know my name was called! So I had went up and got my food, sat down, thought nothing of it. Everything was going great. Ate all my fries, I took a bite of my toast, still normal.... Took another bite of my toast started chewing, next thing you know, I have a hair in my mouth. and it was a long hair. I literally opened my mouth and spit out my food, pulled the hair out from the toast. I went straight to the counter and said "excuse me I have a hair in my toast!" And right away the ladies reaction, she said "oh god" or "oh no" I forget. So she said leave it alone. Don't touch anything. I ended up throwing out my food and she said why did you throw it out? I was going to show my manager. What were you going to show her? There's nothing to show her I just showed you the hair. How is it possible that it only happens to me and that there's a hair intact in the toast?! Like seriously I don't get it. I guarantee you there was a lady in the back making the toast one day, flicking her hair with no hair net, talking to other employees, and a piece of her hair fell into the toast and then she just baked it as normal!!! this place needs to be shut down! if I could give Zaxby's 0/5 stars! I would! There needs to be health inspection at this place! Guaranteed to be shut down and everybody would lose their jobs. I will never be back to Zaxby's in Fort Myers for as long as I live! RIP! For me the chicken was okay but what pushed over the top was the customer service. Better employees than KFC or Popeyes by far...That was a big deal..,After dealing with totally apathy and eye rolling at other fast food chicken retailers it was nice to actually have good customer service...My order was not. hot but not a big deal, I was grateful for polite staff that greeted me and said thank you...So simple, just shows the difference good management makes. read more

The chicken sandwich was so so and again really you can get this type of sandwich at any fast food restaurant. French fries where the frozen type businesses buy by the 20 lb bag. Very disappointing visit for sure. First, the staff here are not the friendliest people. They don't greet you when you come in, and seem completely disinterested in actually serving you. I was one of the first people through the door, so they weren't very busy, so they certainly could have been focused on the hospitality part. The chicken breast was very average. Not well seasoned and lacking flavor. The crinkle cut fries had a nice seasoning on it, but clearly a frozen product and a small portion for sure. Overall, I won't be going back. First whoever design the lot were idiots ( must be floridian) To enter main door,you must pass thru the drive thru lane. If there was a line at the drive thru, YOU would have your SAFETY in jeopardy. You would have to wait or take a chance on a typical floridian driver and go between 2 automobiles. ( Florida ALWAYS in top 5 worst drivers in the country.) They got this right by having handicapped spaces near a entrance. Though if you are in a wheelchair or disable it magnify the risk. Now I must say all the staff were nice and friendly. My first time here not sure what to get? I was given a sample of the so called hot sauce. NOT HOT..just too much vinegar. I settled on the cuba sandwich. The fries were good just too small of a portion. The chicken breast was bigger than I thought. Tasted like a steamed or boiled breast. No flavor per se... Wait in the line at the drive thru for 20 minutes to finally make it to place our order and we get a "we will be right with you" 10 minutes after that we are honking and saying hello o to the mic with no response. When someone comes on they state they are short staffed and the system is still rebooting (not in the nicest tone). The service at this location is horrible. My first Zaxby's experience ever so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm trying to keep things a little on the healthy side so I ordered the Cobb Salad with a side of fried pickles (so much for healthy). The salad is obviously made to order because it took much longer for me to get my order than quite a few people that ordered after me and when I finally received it I could tell my assumption was correct. It was a freshly prepared salad with all the usual "cobb" accompaniments - minus the avocado. Hard boiled egg, crispy bacon, sliced tomatoes, diced peeled cucumber and crunchy noodles in a bed of the typical bagged salad mix. I chose to top mine with the crispy chicken which was good. Overall I was pleased with the salad, it was just a small step up from the usual fast food salad. Now about the fried pickles.....first I should say I LOVE fried pickles and I probably would've loved these too - if they weren't literally swimming in grease. I went to a Zaxby's in North Carolina and I was told that they had gluten free items on their menu and I ordered wings and fries and they were excellent. This location in Fort Myers, Florida unfortunately I did not have the same experience. I asked the employees just to make sure that some of their items were gluten free and they looked at me like they had two heads. I noticed there weren't beading on the wings, but there was breading on the fries, which was not the case at the Zaxby's I went to in North Carolina. HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT GLUTEN IS???? Well, you clueless employees are the reason why I had a bad reaction. Some people have severe allergies (whether it's gluten, dairy, nuts) to the point you could be in the hospital dying. Keep that in mind and have respect for people with allergies. I do not recommend this location to anyone due to their selfish employees who don't care for customers with severe allergies.
