There's a new Zaxby's in town!! I was so excited, as we hit this little gem coming back from Destin, FL last year and I loved it! I don't know why (maybe it was just psychological) but it just wasn't as good this time. I did get food through the drive thru this time as where I ate it fresh last time. The fries I got were soggy. So were my chicken tenders. When it comes to fast food, my opinion is that companies really need to put as much thought into their packaging as they do their food. If it's great food, but the packaging is going to damage alter the food's integrity - that's a real problem. I know I'm not reviewing a 5-Star restaurant here, but there are companies that have the food quality, food prep as well as packaging down to an art. Those companies are the ones that I'll go back to when I'm in a time crunch. read more

I love Zaxby's. This location is clean and the employees are friendly/ courteous. I do think the food is really pricey compared to competitors like Chick Fil A. I wish the kids meal didn't cost $4.29 or the other meals weren't $9.99 excluding drinks. I would definitely visit more often. read more

Good customer service and the food was pretty good. I like Chik Fil A better but it was fresh and satisfying nonetheless.

Decided to go in for lunch. My kids had a free kids meal card, otherwise we would have no reason to try them. Plenty of parking. The place is new and the decor is nice. There's booths and tables. The place was not crowded staffed nicely. You go up to the counter and place your order and they call your name when your order is ready. You fill your own drinks. There's one of those fountain ddrink machines with endless choices. However the ice machine was not working and the drinks were room temp. . There were a few dirty tables and the drink station was sticky and messy. In my opinion with all the staff that was on hand there's no excuse for the mess. My children enjoyed their meal, but have not asked to return or mentioned this place since we visit. I in the other hand did not enjoy the meal but enjoyed the space and the company of my kids. My food was cold! I didn't want to complain and I was not that hungry so really just took a bite of everything to try it. I didn't get sick lol. With so many options around including 3 other chicken places we will not return. The restrooms were filthy!!! My kid decided to hold it till we got home. Haha were only 5 min drive. I may try them again in a later date depending on their reviews or if for some reason one of the kids wants to go. In my opinion this place just needs to be better Managed. read more

My mom and I came here thinking it was on the same scale as RubyTuesday's or close to it. We were surprised. When I walked up to the counter, there was a lady punching buttons on a register. I smiled at her and she continued doing whatever she was doing. She never looked up or said anything. When she was done, she walked away. I proceeded to stand there maybe another 2-3 minutes, when I guy in a red button- down shirt walked passed over to the drive through area. On his way back, he smiled and said hello. I asked him if they had a take out menu so my mom could order and he explained only online. After I looked at the menu, we realized try ONLY serve chicken (which mom didn't want) and decided to leave. I think the customer service here was ridiculous. The first lady I approached could have greeted me and passed me off to someone else instead of completely ignoring me. We probably won't be back. read more

Okay, so I'm not really sure what the whole hubbub is about for this place. We went here tonight for dinner for the first time and we both ordered the chicken finger platter. Let me just start by saying that if you are salt deprived then this is definitely the place for you. The Texas toast was decent but man, it was like they dumped an entire saltshaker on the thing. The Zaxby's sauce was okay but, again, it just added more salt to the already over salted fare. I think I've gone through about five glasses of water since leaving. read more

Chicken Fingers?!?! What do you do with the rest of the chicken -- let 'em roll around on little skateboards begging for corn? Make 'em stand in the median carrying little buckets, waiting for a van to take them to Chik-fil-A?? And Buffalo Wings?? This inhumane fad is solely responsible for the extinction of the American Bison, who NEED those wings, since buffalo mate in the air! But seriously, I don't see the complaints the other reviews saw. I got dine-in service, and the product and service were MUCH better than the normal fast-food place. My chicken fingers were lightly bread with flavorful rub that added flavor without the often-objectionable heat like Popeye's. Crisp on the outside, juicy on the other inside. And the Zaxby's sauce was a sweet and truly ADDITIONAL layer of taste. Good without it; great with it. MY fries were far from limp. Fresh from the frier, they offered a crisp outside that broke into a creamy potato center, almost as if the potatoes had been baked BEFORE they were cut. Great by themselves, but held up strong to mounds of ketchup. I was surprised by the atmosphere indoors. Not sterile like Mickey D's or RBs. Decorated with local sports memorabilia, but also Elvis and Auto Racing. A family environment that invited some quiet horse play by one Caucasian family, quiet prayer by a middle-aged African-American couple, and a young Hispanic couple that stepped aside to let this old Santa look-alike fill his drink before them. I know they can't control who visits, hut the atmosphere here gives off that controlled respectability vibe that is missing in most fast food joints. Overall, I give this place high marks inside the crowed of fast food joints in this neighborhood. read more

First time here and very impressed. Had the chicken fingers, which were good - real chunks of meat, not processed. But the fried mushrooms were OUTSTANDING! Best we've ever had. They used sliced mushrooms so that you got some yummy light breadjng in each bite. We mentioned to the manager how much we liked them and he gave us a coupon for free appetizers on next visit. Good food. Was my favorite new place until i found long hair in my drink after i finished and opened the top to get ice. Was disgusted. I called and told them what happened a young lady said they would refund me or make a new meal free of charge. When i returned i was soon greeted by the manager Danny who was extremely condescending and told me he would not refund or remake my order. Thats the short version. This was the first and probably the last time I will eat here. While we were waiting for our food, we went over to the beverage area to get our drinks and discovered that not only was the soda machine out of ice, but the ice machine right next to the soda machine was out as well. Several people commented about this and took their cups back up to the counter to get ice, which prompted me to think why doesn't the cashier let the customers know that their is no ice available in the machine and ask if anyone wants ice! Once we got our food and made our way to our table, we noticed that NONE of the tables were clean. There was food and napkins on the tables and on the floor. There were four other people eating in the restaurant, so this couldn't be considered a rush time where no one had time to clean tables or mop the floor. My experience today was not too good. I have been to this Zaxby's several times. When it first opened the food was always hot and fresh. Drink machine was always stocked. The last 2-3 times I have been here the food was cold, the fries were overdone and looked like they were in 5-7day old grease. Drink machine is always experiencing problems. I always get an extra zax sauce with my food and have had no trouble getting it for free. Today the manager tried to lecture me about the cost of condiments and said I needed to pay for extra sauce. He stated how other fast food joints had the same practice....I don't give a crap about what other places do...doesn't make it right for Zaxby's to do. I know that I should not be paying extra for sauce when I pay $8-10 for each meal. I have eaten out at a reastaurant every working day for the last 20 years (I wish I had invested that money differently) and I have never paid extra for condiments...and I never will. I'm going to put Zaxby's off my list of restaurants because I'm tired of cold, overdone & expensive condiments and food. If I want fast, fresh chicken I'll just go to Chic-fil-a. read more
