I went to Huntsville today to attend a graduation. On my way back to my city, I stopped by this Zaxby's with my family to get a quick bite. We went through the drive thru. Once we got our food, we got on the highway. My older son gasped so my husband and I asked him what was wrong. He found a safety pin in his boneless chicken plate. The total seemed lower than it should have been so I wanted to verify she got out while order (which she didn't) and she snapped at me and rolled her eyes and proceed to be incredibly hateful. First off, I'm not a real Zaxby's connoisseur but I do venture out here from time to time (they have good sweet tea) . On to the review. On my way home and looking for a quick good bite to eat and Zaxby's pops up on yelp. So here we go. First off, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. I should have just left the restaurant at this point. The restroom was filthy. Not just sloppy dirty, but grimy filthy. That's usually a rule of thumb of mine but I didn't listen to it so on to ordering the food. Btw it was 55 degrees outside and the restaurant felt like a meat locker. It was freezing . I ordered my food and went to get my drink. The drink machine and counter was filthy. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I didn't touch it, I just went to the tea container and it was pretty dirty itself. I asked myself the question, if the counters and the drink machine were this dirty on the outside...what did the tea pitcher look like on the inside. Ugh .... It was a convenient stop for me on my way home, but the line was supper long and after none movement I parked and went inside, I only wanted cheese bites. So I go inside and order and the staff was really interesting. After I place my order the person serving as cashier and another young lady hastily grabbed bags of food after some back and forth explicit word exchange and joking about being wrote up as the two left. The person handing out orders at the window went on a long rant about the others that had left, prior to some's boyfriend entering and every staffer announcing it and she went out with him for roughly 10 minutes. In the midst of this my food was waiting on the counter to be handed to me so I waited, stared and waited for someone to hand me the food, I really was craving these things. But without fail the person in the front handing out the food in the window did not acknowledge me or my food both patiently waiting to be be together. So the window girl ordered some one to take out on of the meals, and so when she slowly retrieved the food to deliver to the car pulled up And returned back inside I asked her if she could hand me my food that was sitting on the counter (in my mind sense no one else sees me here waiting) so she retrieves it for me and fussed stating my thoughts of them not seeing me waiting here for my food. After that I made a mental not to not return, as to top things off the person that retrieved my food was the only one that was washing here hands between customer interaction, I did not see the young lady that went out with her announced boyfriend wash up at all. ‍ read more

This used to be the go-to zaxbys location in Madison until the location on county line was built. I stopped in to eat inside here for old time sake and was greatly disappointed. They somehow messed up 70% of my order when everything on the receipt was correct. Forgot 2 of my 6 chicken tenders, extra sauce, my girlfriends side salad, and her extra sauce. When presenting these mistakes to the cashier she was rude and very unhelpful. We eventually said forget it, ate the food we did receive and left, as it really just wasn't worth the struggle with these people. Will not be visiting this location again. Save yourself the trouble and go to the county line location, they actually have a staff that cares there. read more

Worst fast food place in all of Madison. I have never been treated so rudely in all my years. Attendant flat out lied to me about taking my order then told me I had to go all the way back around to re-order in the drive through line. It was almost systematic racism at it finest. The pure lack or respect was just appalling. I will be trying to notify the manager directly as well as the corporate office. Updated review after their posting a response. They did reach out to me to tell me there process for ordering at the drive through when the machine is broken. But they refused to acknowledge any part of my compliant that I also filed on their website about the person not even being there. Poor leadership, poor management, and I suspect a very high turnover rate for those that do work there in that type of environment. read more

I had ordered door dash bc i had just showered and didnt want to go outside and get sick (even though im 2 mins away) i paid the $20 for wingz and thingz. They submitted my order all the way incorrectly so i called and spoke with a manager and still had to go to zaxbys myself. When I arrived Ms.Yolanda who was the manager I spoke with, corrected the problem immediately by having the food remade and even gave me a receipt to replace my order on my next visit. Finger-licking Chicken Fingers My wife and I were passing through Madison recently and decided to try Zaxbys for lunch; we needed some finger food to eat while driving. Although I had a bad experience with another Zaxby's years ago, I was well pleased with the Chicken Fingers we had today. These were hot, tender, juicy, and quite tasty. My wife likes the Zax sauce and boy, was she right. The sauce made the chicken taste even better. I now realize my life has been building to the moment I was fortunate enough to taste the heavenly goodness that is zaxby's. Somehow the zaxby cooks, neh, super chefs were able to magically conjure up a golden brown, flaky breading that quite possibly was made from rainbows and unicorn vaginas and used this pure awesomeness to expertly coat the most succulent chicken, raised from the moment of their hatching to be the most exquisitely delicious and mind blowing culinary experience that any mere mortal could ever hope to enjoy without exploding from sheer excstasy. I was literally transported to another place and time, a better time. I have become a better man because of my time spent here. For any person lucky enough to happen upon a zaxby's, I emplore you to stop for your sake and the sake of your children.... This was a good stop one Friday evening. Clean. Friendly staff. Fast service. Food tasted like it should. Bathrooms need work. The tile in the bathroom is like a sheet of ice if it has the slightest amount of water. They had recently mopped but no sign giving you a warning. Almost fell. This is absolutely the WORST Zaxby's I have ever been too. First of all, the women's bathroom has splattered poop all over one toilet seat. And the other toilet seat is OVER FLOWING ALL OVER THE FLOOR! Second of all when I went to the front to order my food, this young lady saw me at the front waiting. Then took her ever loving sweet time to walk up to the front to take my order. Third of all, I'm getting food for my parents. My step mom just had a stroke and is just now getting to where she can walk with a walker, but still not without help. All I'm trying to do is get some food really quick and get it to them fresh. And I highly doubt after seeing this place that it's going to be fresh! And to see these young women and men here acting the way they did, it makes me wish I could shut down this place myself.
