All I can really say is it was "alright". For over $11 for a blue cheese salad from a fast food location I'd really expect a little better. Service was great and the location was very clean but the salad left a lot to be desired. The lettuce was somewhat wilted, not crispy at all and the tomato was a bit squishy. There was a good helping of grilled chicken however it would have been nice if it was cut up a little better than it was. The addition of what seemed to be crispy onions was something I was not expecting however in its place I could have used a little more blue cheese crumbles, I had to go searching for those. Tried ordering the $2 chicken filet with lettuce and tomato. The manager could not do that and instead charges me for the $4.99 chicken sandwich. We order these all the time at the concord/Harrisburg location and they never had an issue. The manager at this location said there was no possible way as there's no buttons to add the lettuce/tomato. Anyone that has worked in the food industry knows they can easily add lettuce and tomato to anything, write it in the notes... charge the $1. Easy peasy. And he's a manager? We usually get 4-5 of these. It's not hard. If other locations can do it, so can this one. Please learn how to enter this in. It doesn't make sense that one store can do it but you cannot. I really want to like this place, but I'm afraid it's going to be as mediocre as the former location. First the good: Christian music on the radio in the restaurant. Thanks for that! A Coke Freestyle machine. Hooray! Portions: relatively generous, especially on the sides. I had a heaping mountain of fries in my plate. That was nice. Free wifi! Well, except it only seems to work on my newer iPhone and not my older iPad (but in all fairness it may be something on my end) Now the bad. Well, there is nothing terrible. However there is a lot that is "not quite there" or at best mediocre. The men's restroom auto-on light needs to be adjusted so you're not feeling around in darkness for the sink, or even worse confusing the sink for something else. Lol. The chicken, which should be the "star" of the show is a little bland. Without the dipping squares there is nothing exceptional about it and you'll find more flavor at Chick-Fil-A or Popeyes down the road. The slaw is tasteless. The Texas toast, so-so (would it kill ya to put some butter on it?) Speaking of the sauces, this restaurant violates one of my biggest pet peeves: extra sauce costs extra. I just plopped down ten bucks on lunch and you can't throw in an extra sauce for free? Sauce stinginess - Stop the madness. You can't tell me the overhead is so much that one free pack of sauce will bankrupt them. A franchise-wide problem is the menu. It's confusing. What the heck is a nibbler? What's in a snack meal versus a meal-meal? Needs more detail and a few more pics couldn't hurt. It took the poor lady at the counter a few more minutes taking my order because of trying to explain the menu. She was nice, though. AWFUL. I went with a Groupon. The cashiers didn't even know what Groupon is. So my cashier got a manager named Jonterrius. He didn't know what to do, so he got another manager named Jonquez. Jonquez took my printed out Groupon in the back, then came back and said the computer says it had already been redeemed. I knew he was wrong, and it was obvious he simply didn't know what to do, so he was telling me a story. So I went to my car and got my phone with the Groupon app, and showed him. It showed a "REDEEM" button. He grabbed my phone and went into the back area. He came back 30 seconds later and said, "See, it's been redeemed". But that's because he had pushed the "REDEEM" on the screen. So I told him, "You just redeemed my groupon, so you need to give me $20 of food". So he replied, "I don't gotta do nothin'!" I called the customer service number and let them know, but haven't heard back. If I do, I will edit this message. Well, I can't judge the food, because obviously at that point I left. Outstanding fast food experience. 99.5 sanitation score and clean as a whistle. I ordered a house salad with grilled chicken. It came out fast and tasted fresh. My husband went to this location for lunch on Thursday 08/16 and spend a little over $6.00 around 10:30-11:00am. Latter that night I received a txt from my bank about changers to my bank account and when I looked at my bank history and transactions and it showed that about 7pm my card was then charged not one but twice for a little ones $22 both transactions. I immediately called the location and spoke to a manager by the name of Holly. She insisted that it was an error and they she made the corrections and returned the funds to my account and that she has a receipt that showed the return. At that moment everything was still pending so I said fine I will give it a few days but she still has yet to explain how my card was processed twice after hours of being at that location and it was charged not once but twice. How was my card information accessible to anyone and was able to run my card addition times. Tuesday 8/20 all the transactions for Zaxby's have cleared and and a simple $6 lunch has turned into over a $50 lunch! When I called the location again and spoke to Holly again she then stated "call your bank and deal with them", I'm sorry but no I am not calling anyone i didn't do this you did and I want my refund! She kept blowing me off and telling me that she returned it and I had to wait, honestly if that was the case then fine I'd wait but the funds where taken twice and she stated she refunded her one transaction. There where two transactions so what about my other transaction? Also I have yet to receive an answer as to why my card information was accessible to ANYONE manager or not why? It seems to me that Holly is giving me the run around and not being honest with me and I want a phone call from someone that's going to refund me all of my money with out telling me I'm lying and that my bank has to deal with it. My family ate there a week ago, we both got the zen-sational salad using a groupon coupon, We came from Salisbury and had not been to a Zaxby's before. the salad greens are fresh crisp and the chicken was freshly cooked and hot oh what a super combo and the eggroll was better than the Chinese place we go to and we decided to stop in here and order 6 before going to the Chinese place. The salad was filling and a wonderful taste. I was really shocked at how good they were. If they cleaned the flip cards on the table, the cookie presenter and the highchairs I would have given them 5 stars. The place is clean except for those items. Went through the drive through. Asked twice to make sure they did not put fried onions on my salad when I placed the order. Thought it was odd that my salad was immediately ready. Asked them again to make sure there was not fried onions. She assured me there were none. They took a pre-made salad and tried to remove and hide the the fried onions. Not only did I now have fried onions all over my salad but, the two half slices of bread were so soggy, it was like they were dipped in water. Hardly any grilled chicken. My friend and I picked Zaxby's because we both wanted some wings. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings first, but was not in the mood for the loud atmosphere. We've both had wings from Zaxby's before, so we decided to come here instead for a less busier and quieter late lunch. I ordered the sweet and spicy wings with fries; she ordered the bbq wings with chips and texas toast. Both of our wings were drenched in sauce, there was so much sauce, that it was hard to tell where the actual chicken wing was! We both tried to eat the wings, getting sauce all over our faces and fingers, the table was covered with napkins after eating 3 wings a piece; what a waste! So disappointing. Neither of us ate all of our wings because we were so put off by the amount of sauce covering wings! My french fries weren't any better, they were cold and hard. I just visited the Zaxbys in Mooresville, NC. I placed an order online and went through the drive thru to pick it up as I have dozens of times before. When I got to the window and told the employee I had placed an order online, he told me I had to come in to get it. I replied with the fact that I have always picked my online orders up at the window and he said, "well not today you aren't". Worst experience I have ever had anywhere!!!! My husband ordered food to go and when I got it home, it had no chicken on it at all. I called up there to let them know and I got nothing but attitude. At one point he claimed it was in a box separate than the salad, yet my husbands salad had chicken on it??? The guy first claimed he was the manager named John and then said his name was Jasper. He was sarcastic and kept acting like he couldn't understand my name...just blurring out random letters when I would repeat my name to him. I decided to go back up there to get a refund on salad since I was treated so rudely. They refused to give me a refund because my husband had the receipt who was at home with the children, despite it being my 2nd trip there. Went to pick up something quick for dinner via drive through the girl told me it would take 10 min to get my wings but it would be a lot quicker if I would've choose boneless wings i said i will wait for my wings no big deal . almost 20 min passed by and not food and im just waiting in my car as i get out the car the girl that took my order was talking to a co worker and as soon as she saw me coming she hide realizing that its been more than the time she said when she took my order . I honestly never give reviews to any place (hotels restaurants etc ) even if it is bad but in this case it just got to the point that it pissed me off because I would've understand it if the place was full but the place was empty inside and out there were no customers and they still couldn't get the food right when i got out The car and I got inside the restaurant and I told one of the staff members I thought she was going to bring my order (pointing at the girl who took my order ) to my car and she never did my food was there already on the counter but she never took it out the other cashier told me that she was sorry and the reason it took long it was because is they were making them " fresh" The funny thing here is that wings dont take over 20 minutes to cook god knows how long my food stayed on the counter before I got out of my car and how long it took them in reality to get my wings ready by the time I got home the food was cold and it was the worst experience ever no wonder why this place is always empty now I see why !!!!! they have 10 people in the kitchen and have several staff members or cashiers who are just clueless about whats going on apparently they are just to socialize while people wait for their orders outside the drive-through if I can give this place a 0 star rating I would give it worst place ever read more
