What you see is what you get! It's nice to find places that take the time to make their food look great, Zecto does. The Sando came out looking perfect! The guy who was at the counter let me know that everything was made to order and it would be a few minutes and it was worth the short wait. Their coating has a more dry crumbly feel but great flavor. The chicken inside is moist and juicy and the bun, pickles, slaw and sauce are great. Friendly service in a bright comfortable place. Definitely worth a visit.

I was in the area and decided to stop by this spot without really looking too much into it. I was a bit short on time, and when it popped up nearby I figured it would be worth trying. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it actually had a good amount of seating inside which was nice. I ordered one slider and one tender with fries. I got the slider Hot and the tender X-Hot. Surprisingly, I liked the Hot slider more than the X-Hot tender. The Hot had better flavor overall and seemed a lot juicier. The X-Hot definitely brought the heat, but the flavor on the Hot just stood out more to me. The kid working the counter was a little awkward, but still welcoming and helpful when taking my order. Overall it was a solid experience and the food was good. If I'm in the area again, I'd consider stopping by. Solid spot for a quick bite.

The thing about hot chicken places is that, when they work, they soar wonderfully, but when they fail, they fail spectacularly. It's very hard to get right the balance between being pulse-racing hot and cleverly delicious. You either lose the flavor in all that heat or you just don't bring it when it comes to the promise of burning you alive from the inside. I'm glad to say that Zecto's finds that balance. I was thoroughly impressed with how good (and big) the tenders were in their combos. Not only did the sting of some absolutely flaming chicken become noticeable in the first bite, but each belt was also noticeably scrumptious as well. The service was exemplary, as the workers had my back with refills, requests for honey, and to-go boxes. They also just had a pleasant and helpful demeanor when it came to interacting with them. Also, for a fast casual spot, the size was perfect. It had lots of tables for both two and four guests, and even accommodated our six person party admirably. I also thought the location had great parking and a drive-thru option, something you don't see often in the hot chicken game. All in all, this place was great if you want something other than the usual Dave's or Clyde's, and I think I'm a greater person for having eaten there. Like a great cyborg once said, I'll be back.

We order the chicken sandwiches and Zecto fries and the sandwiches were extremely good and freshly made. The fries were also good but for me had too much sauce but my boys enjoyed them. The fries are so crispy and taste so good with the seasoning they put on. The service was very friendly and helpful. Ambiance was chill inside and they do have a tv showing the sports games. Parking is good and they do have a drive thru as well.

WOW NOW THATS WHAT I CALL FRIED CHICKEN! A little background for me when I first had Dave's hot chicken that was the first time I had fried chicken that really awakened something inside me a fried chicken fiend if you will. Ever since that day I've been chasing that same high and after all those years I thought maybe I would never get that same feeling again. That's until I had Zecto. The fried chicken here is something else it really helps that each item is made to order cause the freshness and crispness of the chicken is really something special. The seasoning on the fried chicken is almost like a layer of sauce with how well it is coated and the juiciness of the meat itself is divine. Yes it is on the pricey side but you can definitely taste the quality and to me that's worth it versus a commercialized taste that a lot of other fried chicken joints have fallen victim to. The service here is phenomenal I had multiple orders when I dined in here and each of those times we were given free items like extra sauce, waffles, cookies all free of charge which was really nice. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this place even if you aren't a fried chicken fiend this is just objectively delicious food that you won't be disappointed with. Thank you Zecto!

Okay this place was sooooo good! I got the regular mango habanero fries. It was amazing. The chicken was delicious, fries were seasoned perfectly and they were crispy and soaked up the sauce beautifully. Me and my girl went when they opened up at 11am. The building is small but they got some good amount of tables and service was fast since there was no one.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE HOT CHICKEN PLACE. By far actually. The only comparable places are out side of the state so this is easily my favorite hot chicken spot. Its got the most flavorful hot chicken, I like all the different flavors they have for the zecto fries like teriyaki and mango habanero and omg its so good I've tried the tenders, sandwich, and the zecto fries and all 3 are the best! Prices are a little high, I like their combo deals, and their daily specials. Service is pretty fast and nice and the inside seating is also good too.

I Brought my son here because he's the one with the spiciness! He thought it was delicious. The service was OK and it was a little uncomfortable because we were the only ones in there but if you're looking for a good spicy hot chicken, it's a great place. More of a fast food place than a dine in setting.

Came back the second time and the food is great! Zecto hot chicken is one of the best places to have hot chicken. Not only the food was amazing, the service was incredible! I believe customer service is the most important for a business and with zecto hot chicken they make sure that you are more than satisfied with your purchase. Got the recommendation to try this and really enjoyed it. With hot chicken places popping up all the time it's hard to stand out, but Zecto did. Tenders are huge and flavorful, value wise some of the best hot chicken you can find. Vibe is a chill spot, and the service was good. This place is my go-to for lunch almost all the time! I work around the area, I'm always looking for quality food & also something quick to get back to work. Zecto Fries is the place that serves the best chicken with no antibiotics. Food is always on point & tastes unique to other restaurants that serve wings! The cookie is also great for dessert nothing beats this combination! This chicken joint is a hit all my foodies tap in for a good meal and overall phenomenal experience. The owner is dedicated to delivering customer satisfaction from the taste of the food all the way to whole experience here. Flavors are on point I prefer extra spicy so if you're like me and order mango habanero ask them to make it extra spicy. Food arrives hot, correct, and of course delicious. The freshly baked chocolate chunk cookies they have available for dessert are a must try. This place has a great vibe. I definitely think if they do a few tweaks it would be perfect. We ordered for a family of 3 and didn't receive the food in a timely manner. Probably waited 10-15 min. We went in the drive thru. They need a different recipe for their ranch. The ranch tasted like it would be for a salad. Like if you go to wingstop that ranch is for wings, they need that type of ranch. The fries were to crispy I feel that the chicken burger was great and crispy had a great crunch but juicy, delicious. But too much crips I need a different texture less crips would be great, it felt like it been fried a lot to give it the crisp look, maybe a different style fries, but good season on the fries, that was good. Ditch the can soda, buy regular paper cups. I'm not sure if there are cup sizes there but we got a plastic clear cup and it was small. Just felt cheap. Paper is the way to go like all the other fast food chicken places. The Mac and cheese wasn't great, had no flavor it was so bland. They need a chunky/creamy type but not too creamy. Maybe put a seasoning on top after too. read more

It was my first trying this establishment not from this area but figures why not, when I first came in it seemed to be a big inconvenience to the staff as they were working drive thru. But the one thing I do love is they have their instagram on the wall and you can message them any questions or concerns. They got back to me within 10 minutes now that's value! read more

Came across this spot on instagram and immediately had to try it. My little family is from Pasadena, but my parents live in Anaheim so the moment we were back in the OC we were at Zecto! I found this place on Apple Maps, had to try it on my "hot chicken adventures." Walking in I was pleasantly greeted by Aaron. Man where to start with him. He was friendly, great communication, just overall a great guy. Me and my buddy went here to rank it on our tier list. We both got chicken tender combos at a medium spice level. It definately swept me off my feet with the spice. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and seasoned well. The ranch was delicious, and the comeback sauce was even better. The fries were pleasant. Been here multiple times, they have a fun game when you order where if you stop the timer at 10.00 seconds you get 10 dollars towards your next visit. I have yet to win but it's very fun! I got 10.01. The food is great, better than other hot chicken in so cal. The loaded fries or loaded Mac n cheese (secret menu) have very fair portions and the smaller bite sized chicken (or cauliflower) is breaded really well. The ambiance is cool, nice neon lights, the bathroom has cool artwork inside with the chicken logo on album art. The chef in the back had had a huge smile when cooking every time I see him. read more

This place was absolutely fire (literally lol)!!! Seriously so good I tried the Nashville Chicken sandwich (hot) and the tenders (medium). I personally loved the medium it had a bit of sweetness with the heat. The seasoning on the chicken has incredible flavor. I also tried the Zecto Fries w/Sweet Korean Chili and they were unreal! Service was amazing as well they were so nice and offered to get waters for our table while we were eating! After we wrapped up they also offered to let us play the stopwatch game for a chance at some prizes. The vibe is super dope too, really well put together place and really clean. Seriously try this place out, you won't regret it! read more

We ordered the chicken tenders and zecto fries. The tenders were huge and juicy, the seasoning was perfect! They did not skimp out on the sauce in the fries, the garlic parm sauce was soo good covering the bite sized chicken pieces and fries. Everyone who was part of service were nice and helpful, making sure to check in on us. Overall, one of the best hot chicken places I've been to and can't wait to visit again! read more

I have been thrice already and can't wait to come back again! A solid menu and many flavor options to customize your way. A good variety of tables inside. The employees I've encountered have that "over it" look but that won't stop me from coming back as long as there are no issues with my food. Price is comparable to other chicken tender/wing chains. By the way, the mango habanero tastes exactly like Wingstops. read more

Wow! After reading a few of the bad reviews I understand why Zecto's has an amazing reputation. The food was amazing I ordered Zectos fries and the chicken sandwich for me and my wife which filled our hungry appetite to the fullest. Aaron was an amazing host and helped guiding us through the menu and being patient enough to let us choose exactly what we wanted. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves because he's incredible at what he does. Don't let his kindness be taken as a weakness he has great potential. As for the tables and chairs , I was very happy to see everything clean and organized for the next group of people to come by ! Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? No, you're chicken not a summers day. Like a summers day however, you had me sweating in a pleasant way that draws a smile to my face as I shed the whims of a winter sorrow. As the chicken was drawn to my face by wanton fingers my speculation grew as becoming staff were beckoned back to their stations after dutifully gracing me with this feast. The generous chicken breast clung to the rouse of seasoning sparing no expense of punch or tang only by its tempting moisture. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had since traveling in the south! I ordered the Nashville sando combo with Hot heat (4/5 heat scale) and an extra comeback sauce to go with my fries. Wonderful service! The owner/manager or whoever it was who was helping me was amazing and friendly. That side sauce was incredible, 10X better than Canes sauce, and the ability to have a nice cold beer with your meal definitely gives it brownie points for me and adds to the ambiance! read more

All I can say, is if you're in the Fullerton area, you must stop at Zecto Hot Chicken. The staff is amazing, but the food will make you come back over and over. This is one of the best chicken spots in So. Cal for sure. I've been to 2 of their soft opening and haven't been disappointed and either will you. I highly recommend this place if you want chicken with a kick. read more

Well, the chicken was fabulous. I had medium hot but next time I'll move down to mild since I'm a lightweight. My wife had hot and thought it was great. The boneless wings were also delectable. For the side we went with Mac n Cheese but it's pretty boring so I would try something else next time. On the way home my wife was pointing out several other chicken places we were passing by and telling me why she did not like them. I am glad found one we both like. read more

My boyfriend and I come very often here. Says a lot already. Every time we walk in we're greeted by the staff. Upon ordering I always get the mango habanero Zecto fries, sooooo yummy. Having been avid hot chicken enthusiasts since 2019, we would constantly be traveling across beautiful SoCal in search of the best hot chicken shop. As time progressed, our favorite places began to decline in quality and would fall short of the things that made us originally fall in love with them. With this being the case, we decided to take matters into our own hands and do things right ourselves. From serving the absolute best quality of certified halal chicken we could source, to ensuring that each flavor of sauce and seasoning worked in harmony, we worked tirelessly to provide Orange County with what hot chicken and loaded fries are meant to be: delicious without compromise. The chicken here are big and moist. Very juicy and very good. The seaweed one is very unique and I really like that one. A lot of umami flavor. However, what made it a 4 star place for me was that the server never really checked up on us at all. Didn't come by to ask how things were or anything. Also, the price is quite high for what it is. $20 for 8 pieces of wings isn't cheap. The two items with tax and tip was over $40 and I think we all still left not quite full. Anyways, it was good trying it out, but might not be something I go to often.

And I have come bearing important information for the people of the world: Zecto Hot Chicken is the name. Now, before we proceed, I have one small complaint--and I feel compelled to bring this matter before the International Council of Chicken Size Standards. The Jumbo Tenders aren't quite as jumbo as they used to be. Over the last year, those tenders have apparently been on a wellness journey. A fitness journey. A "let's-watch-the-carbs" journey. C'mon!!! Tell those chickens to hit the gym! We need 'em JUMBO! We're not asking for a tender with a six-pack. We're asking for the glorious, magnificent, borderline-obnoxious chicken tenders of yesteryear. Bring back the jumbo! Let the tender be tender. Let it be enormous. Let it cast a shadow over the fries. And then there is another matter that has left me emotionally devastated: NO COKE?!? (Incognito Cough) --A cola, that is. I walked in with dreams. I had the loaded fries and the chicken tenders and was so happy I got them- usually chicken tenders are mostly breading on dry chicken but these were moist with a light breading and great flavor even in the breading. I really enjoyed my experience at Zecto Hot Chicken. The sauce was absolutely delicious and full of flavor without being overpowering.
