I have been going to Zee (Zareh) for about one year now and I have never been disappointed with his work. He is a great person but more importantly he is a great stylist. He takes his time with his clients and unlike other barbers nearby, he does not double or triple book himself and make you wait an hour just for a hair cut. Zee is the best hairdresser ever! I lived in London for 13 years and I still waited for my holidays home to LA to get my hair done with him. His colouring is so good and lasts, even when it grows out it still looks stunning. Also I have had trouble with my bangs (fringe) for years and he is able to miraculously tame them every time. This salon is a fairly new salon and I'm just lucky enough I took a chance and had my hair done here.I used to have horse's hair. No style,super long, split ends, really frizzy, but not anymore. The guy that did my hair, I think he's also the owner, spent almost 2 hours cutting and styling my hair. He did an amazing job and I 'm SUPER PICKY. He layered my hair which was not easy,especially with the length of my hair. He only charged me very minimal and he's really honest about what's good for your hair. I learned that the flat iron is not good for your hair. It damages hair. He is even teaching me to do my own hair using a blow dryer and the the proper technique. For those who don't know me, I can never do anything on myself which is why I go to the salon so much and they do it for me. LOL.When you go, make sure the guy does your hair.I know for sure he does hair very well! read more

I dont know where to start, this place is amazing. I am generally a picky person, i use to change my hair stylist all the time, but since i found him , i am not gonna go anywhere. Zareh's work is extremely professional. His prices are very reasonable and he spends a lot of time on each client. Make sure you make an appointment so you get the most out of it. After numerous nightmare highlighting weaves at other salons and terrible results, I tried Zee Salon last year and OMG, have I never been happier,. Zee is amazing, takes his time, listens to what I want to achieve for my color. I made an appointment for a simple bang trim since my hair stylist was out of town and I needed something close to home asap. I went in and he made me feel like I was wasting his time. Definitely not welcoming. On top of that, he trimmed my bangs without putting a robe on me. I had little hairs all over my clothes. Wow!!!! I am total amazed by Zareh! I've never met a stylist as passionate as he is about his work, his shop, and his sense of taste. Had my first cut today. Words can not describe how happy I am with his cut! Being the first time there, Zareh stayed within my comfort zone of my length and put his personal touch to my hair. It turned out perfect! I can't wait until my second cut when he is more familiar with my head and taste. Found out later that he used to work in Beverly Hills hair salon and he used to charge $200 per cut. He is charging a fraction of the price now. Although is not charging the amount he used, I have to say, he is worth more! While I was there, he pampered me like a queen! He even did a free treatment for my husband hair while he waits! Not your typical stylist and I can tell you he is not just doing it for money. While I was there, another customer was coming it, and he really has the guts to refuse service so he can give me the ultimate attention. I would just go there just to be pampered again. Bravo! Wow, I'm amazed that there isn't thousands of 5 star reviews for this salon. I must have passed by Zee Hair Studio more than a 1000 times, and since I had my own hair stylist for over 10 years, didn't think about going to a new place until my stylist became pregnant and took a leave of absence. Three weeks ago I decided to walk in without an appointment and see if someone was available. I was greeted by a very courteous and polite gentleman named Zareh. (please don't confuse him with Zareh from Z's Design Gallery in Glendale, who is a nightmare). Zareh took his time to listen and saw exactly what I wanted. I needed a hair cut but didn't want to get rid of a lot of length. He listened and only took off as much as I wanted. He did a great job in blow drying my hair as well. I liked his work so much that I returned today for color. He uses the best quality of hair color made in Spain and does explain every step to his client. He shampooed my hair twice and I was given a hair treatment. End result was phenomenal. My hair was soft and silky. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. I have always had an uncanny knack for finding great places and service people like restaurants, gardeners, dentists, handymen, or auto mechanics. But Zareh might be my all time greatest find! I had been spoiled for many years because one of my good friends was a retired hair stylist who would actually come to my home periodically to cut, style, and blow dry my hair. Unfortunately he decided to move back to Chicago, and I didn't know what I was going to do. One day I needed to go to an urgent care center in my Tujunga neighborhood. As I was leaving I noticed that right next to it there was an open door to some kind of shop, and my "Spidy senses" started tingling (meaning I got a funny feeling I was about to discover something important). I poked my head inside and discovered it was a hair salon... small, but beautifully decorated. There was only one man inside and (after a brief introduction and explanation that he was the owner) I had the urge to let him cut my hair right on the spot since he was between customers and I hadn't yet found a hair stylist I liked. The result was the best hair cut I think I've ever had! (My apologies, Pablo.) On my third return visit my curiosity got the better of me and I asked him about his background. To my delight I found out that Zareh had been working in one of those snooty, over-priced Beverly Hills style salons and didn't like the vibe, so he decided to strike out on his own. Luckily for anyone in the Tujunga/La Crescenta area, he opened Zee Hair Studio here. As the other reviewers have stated, he takes his time with you and really LISTENS to what you want him to do. He makes very low pressure suggestions if he thinks something else might look better (I'd take his suggestions, by the way). The results are fabulous . The other surprise comes when he's finished and it's time to pay. So VERY reasonable for what you get! I'm actually getting scared he might be "discovered" and we'd lose him. Zee hair studio is awesome! He does a great job with color, cuts and styling and educates me as to how to take care of my hair. He even put lashed on me last time because I was having family pics taken =) I love that he gave me recommendations as to what I need to do for my hair and what will look best on me. I couldn't be happier with the service I receive there for a very reasonable price. He even brings in his internet card so that I can work while I get my hair done. He works on Sundays and has flexible hours which is great for us working people with kids and crazy schedules. The studio is very clean and comfortable with a coffee bar and other refreshments.
