Nice flag, it tends to get very, very windy here.

A lot more than fish food Zeek's is a small shack located virtually in the middle of the island of Jamestown. I'm not sure how long it's been around but I've been coming here for years and the shack looks like it's been around a lot longer than that. It's very easy to drive right by because the poor little place looks like it would collapse if you kicked it and the old sign says bait & tackle. Unless you happen to be fishing most people don't really want bait & tackle. But don't be misled, there is a lot more in here than fish food. Zeek's is really a fresh seafood shack that also happens to sell bait & tackle. Some of best and freshest local seafood you can get is inside that decrepit shack. Tuna, cod, swordfish, scallop, shrimp, oysters, lobsters and other tasty sea creatures are waiting for you. This isn't a restaurant so don't expect a quick meal here. This is a place to buy really good raw seafood that you get to prepare and cook yourself. If you don't like to cook I suppose you could make sushi. Not a place that impresses from the outside although the views are pretty nice in all directions. Everybody on the island knows about Zeeks and the little shack actually gets pretty crowded during the weekends. However the service and atmosphere are always fun because everyone here knows they are waiting to get some really good seafood. The conversation inside is always centered on fish and fishing. Just a shack but a shack with some really tasty stuff.. And yes indeed there is bait and tackle inside if anybody needs it. But unless you happen to really want to spoil the fish you are trying to catch with tuna, sword and scallops, this is a shack that feeds people better than fish.

Fresh fish, good variety, althuogh they were sold out of some varieties. While the fish was fresh, it was pricey. Cash and checks only.

Charming New England seafood deli. Fresh, not fancy, and fair prices. The place to go for local fresh raw seafood.

We ordered four…read more12-14 oz lobster tails and two 5-6 oz tails, and holy moley--the 12-14 oz tails were HUGE! They were seriously impressive. For five adults, this was an appropriate amount of food, especially if you have plenty of sides. We were a little lighter on the side dishes, so in retrospect, I think we would've been better off ordering six of the 12-14 oz tails. Either way, there was plenty of delicious lobster to go around! Ordering was super simple. You can order online, but we had a gift certificate, so we called to place our order. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and thorough with the instructions. I even needed to change our delivery date by a day, and they were so accommodating and easy to work with. The lobster arrived right when expected and was packaged extremely well in a secure box with plenty of ice packs. And the fact that they delivered fresh Maine lobster all the way to Northern Michigan was pretty awesome! We kept the preparation super simple--just grilled the tails with a little salt, added a drizzle of fresh lemon, and dunked them in melted butter. Absolutely immaculate. It also helps that our brother-in-law is basically a grill master, haha! I would 100% order from The Lobster Guy again. If you're craving fresh Maine lobster without having to travel to Maine, this is definitely worth trying!

I will not be ordering from them again!! Save your money and use a different company, they don't care about their customers!!!

I went on a rainy Monday around noon and there was still a steady flow of customers. It seems to be a pretty popular spot. The staff is all very friendly. The soups were served to us immediately after paying. The New England Clam Chowder was good. Nice amount of clams and very creamy. I had never had Rhode Island Clam Chowder before and this seemed like the place to try it. The clear broth was surprisingly flavorful but I still prefer New England. My girlfriend and I ordered a good amount and the food came out pretty quickly. My favorite was the kung pao calamari. The squid was fried perfectly and having the sauce on the side was nice as it didn't leave the breading to get all soggy and I had control over how sweet it would be. The stuffed Quahogs tasted good but I feel like I tasted more of the stuffing over the actual shellfish. It still tasted good, but I feel like I should've gotten more shellfish. We were told they ran out of shells to serve them on so the presentation was off, but they were still tasty. The lobster rolls were both good. They were $27 which seems pretty steep to me but they were actually on the cheaper side compared to other places we saw around Newport. The lobster tasted fresh and the bread was good. They were solid lobster rolls. The food was all solid, but for the price I wasn't wowed.

Crab Cakes were mediocre and certainly not Baltimore style good. Fruti Di Mare cold salad was great because it consisted of large scallops, Shrimp & tender calamari rings in a savory vinegar dressing with herbs. Check out my photos. The market had several displays of Thai and Asian bottled sauces plus a nice variety of hot sauces. I bough a box of Unami broth packets and a Hot Sauce with Tequila and Lime.
