I promised to write this review back in April to tell people that they're open, but like many side notes, it got swept under a pile and I just discovered it. I needed a smog test back in April when many businesses were shut down due to Covid 19. I typically go to one just up the street from my house or the Auto Club. I knew the Auto Club location was closed, but when I looked up Mesa Smog, the web page said they were open. I drove over and they were closed. I was feeling very frustrated that day. Luckily, I ran across Zee's on a quick search for smog test stations in the Costa Mesa area and can't say enough about the great experience I had. The owner was so friendly. I'm the victim of a hit and run auto accident, so my driver's side door barely opens now. The man (the only one there that day) went out of his way to climb into my car from the passenger side door and had to lay down just to attach the necessary devices to run the test and he never once complained about it. He was very friendly, he was very willing to help me, I was in and out of there fast and he even informed me about the DMV kiosk inside the Ralph's on 17th street where I could pay my registration and print my new tags out that day! From now on, this is my new smog place! They're easy to find and I highly recommend the place. Give them a chance. read more

This guy is a sweetheart! I was driving around one Saturday morning doing my usual shopping, spending money, blah, blah when I looked at my calendar on my phone. Smog check due...oh crud, I totally forget about that. I Yelped Zee's and he told me to go on over there. He hooked me right up and I got my certificate for $49.00. I probably could have found a cheaper place but I hate getting my car smogged and Saturday's are for fun not car shenanigans don't ca know? I came to Zee's to get my '98 MBZ smog checked, and Zee and his wife Martha were so good to me! Since I have an old car, it took 2 tries to pass because my car wasn't picking up on it, but Zee did everything in such a timely manner. Usually I'm wary of going to any mechanics or car-related shops myself because, as a young female who doesn't know much about cars, mechanics are quick to try to dupe me.
