Great service and nice clean shop. I've been going to Zee for years for all my cars. This year I thought I'd try a Groupon for another station. Not only was the other place a mess they couldn't smog my car (Range Rover). After wasting 30min at the other place I drove to Zee's. Zee got me right in, offered me water, soda or coffee and was finished before I knew it. The full process took 15 min and he even fixed my blinker! I highly recommend Zee's! read more

Straight to the point, professional, friendly, and quick. I went in for two smog checks for my cars. Moving in from out of state and needed to register the cars, Zee was friendly and took care of us right away. A customer was in the process of having their vehicle checked when we arrived, Zee was prompt to notice and welcome us. We filled out a quick form and he had us pull our vehicles in. While one customer was finishing up, we were also being helped; great multi tasking! Overall, I will be returning to this spot for all my smog testing and have already sent my brothers here for their tests too. read more

Wow... are you kidding me, this was the best place to take our cars. Zee is a great guy and has smog tested all of our cars over that past rounds of DMV requirement. I always show up without an appointment and he has me in and out within a reasonable amount of time. He also explains what is going on with my cars so I can understand- he is smarter than. A fifth grader! read more

I have been bringing my 1998 5 Series BMW to Zees since I acquired the car in 2007. It is always a comfort to know that I will receive quality, efficient, friendly and thorough service. I highly recommend this Smog Test Station. I know that you will not be disappointed. It's like visiting a part of the family. There's an estimate given up front, a seat and water offered and of course information is transmitted automatically to the DMV. It is a Star Certified station. Couldn't ask for better service!! It is as good as it gets!! read more

He offered us drinks, and we talked about plants, my favorite topic. He was efficient at his job, and has great prices! I'm probably going back just to visit with him. Called Zee's shop late on a saturday after I bought a car-- told me he was about to go home; but would wait for me. Awesome, what kind of mechanic does that for a stranger? Smogged my new Ford & got me out in under 20 min. AND let me store my VW with him until I could get a ride back later. Took extra good care of me-- can't recommend him enough. Yes, I'm a procrastinator. Yes, I got the DMV renewal notice like 3 months early from the state of Cali(do people really pay them this early just because the state wants your had earned dollar$??) I waited just a little too long and kind of forgot UNTIL THE DAY MY REGISTRATION WAS DUE! Yikes, so noon on last Saturday was about when I found the buried registration notice from the DMV, I called Zee smog because it's nearby and my Brother had used them. Rolled over and the Owner (is his name Zee? Not sure) was scurrying about getting his camper ready. Turns out he was going camping with his wife and was trying to get outta town for the weekend. He asked if I could come next week, It was then I had to admit that it was my last day before the DMV would spank me with the procrastinator fines :( He took pity on me, reassured his wife that this was 'the last one' before they could leave for their trip and had me outta there in 20 minutes. I went strait to the Costa Mesa AAA and got my new registration sticker. Great job Zee! read more

I found this place on a Saturday 6:30 at night. My regular place was closed so I called around and with luck, Zee answered. He said he closed at 5:00 but "COME ON DOWN, I WILL WAIT & TAKE CARE OF YOU!" What a great guy and business owner!! Very honest and makes you feel at home! Very clean business and takes good care of you. I did not have to wait long for the testing and that included warming up his machines and connecting to Sacramento (DMV) just for me!! I didn't think my truck would pass because of repairs just made, but with a big smile from Zee " YOU PASSED" !! That was all I needed to hear!! I very highly recommend this place to everybody who owns a car!! And if you don't, stop by anyways to say "Hi to Zee" His wonderful attitude and outlook on life and big smiles is a big plus in my book! What a wonderful man!!! I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for the excellent service I received at Zee's smog shop in Costa Mesa, CA on Placentia. I brought my shop van in for a smog check, and I was so impressed with the level of service that I received. First of all, I have to say that you and your wife make the cutest couple working together. Both of you were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire process. I was in and out of there so fast, with very quick and efficient service. Your shop was very clean and organized, and it was evident that you take great pride in the work that you do. We have been coming to Zee for our smogs on all of our cars for years. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to have their cars smog tested. We have both foreign and domestic cars and Zee takes them all. He is very honest and helpful and you can trust him with all of your cars. He has moved his shops around and we will follow him no matter where he goes.! I have sometimes just shown up without an appointment and he always manages to fit me in. He is awesome. He will always go the extra mile to satisfy his customers. I also have and oversized Van which barely fit in one of his shops so he just stood on the back bumper so I could drive it in. Whatever it Takes ZEE is the place to be!. You won't find a more honest, helpful customer friendly place to have your cars smog tested. Come to Zees and be serviced and you will be very happy that you did. read more

It was my first time at Zee's Smog Shop. I was recommend by a long time customer. I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. Not only did Zee answer the phone at 7:25pm, but he was upbeat and very accommodating! I requested to come in for my smog check on Christmas Eve day when most businesses were closed, but Zee was happy to make it work on my timetable. Not only was he working on my needs and timing but he also gave me an unexpected discount! Zee's Smog Shop is electronically connected to the DMV so everything was immediately transmitted so I didn't have to do anything. I was in and out of there in no time! A few Saturdays ago, I lost track of the time and it was 445 when I called Zee. He was already done for the night. He offered to meet me by appointment the following day, on Sunday! I thanked him and said I'd see him tomorrow. Zee called me back 10 min later, said he had to run back to his shop and asked if I wanted to meet him there! WHAT!!! Amazing. I got there and he was genuinely one of the nicest people ever. His shop is immaculate, his equipment is current and his service is spectacular. I'd offered to pay an after hour fee when I first called and he said not to worry about it. I was so grateful, I gave him a bill and said take your wife out! I'll never smog anywhere else! My Fiance owns his own business and takes all of his work vehicles to Zee's Smog. When it came time for my Jetta to be smogged, he phoned Zee and scheduled an appointment commenting that Zee runs a tight ship and is "highly trustworthy". I arrived at my scheduled timed and was quite impressed as Zee provided me with a bottle of water and went right to work. Zee then sat down with me and shared the results (my 5-year old Jetta passed the smog inspection). Zee was very professional and gracious and made the whole "smog inspection" experience less of a pain. I was honestly in and out of there within 10 minutes. I am now a fan of Zee's Smog and highly recommend his business. read more

So after calling a few smog shops and being told they had no time today to do my smog my friend recommended me here. I called Zee to see if I can come in and get my smog done today and he informed me that he was leaving for a doctors appointment and asked if I can make it in the next 10 minutes. I was a little late and zee still waited for me. He was very friendly and even took a few minutes of his time to explain some things to me about smog checks. The smog took no longer than 20 minutes or so and I was very pleased with the service here. I would recommend anyone here and will return for my future smog checks read more

Fast, Friendly, and Professional Service! I've been coming to Zee's Smog for all my smog services for over 25 years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else! Zee himself is always friendly, efficient, and takes the time to make sure everything is done right. The service is quick, and I've never had an issue. With his ASE and STAR certifications, I know I'm in good hands. If you're looking for a reliable and hassle-free smog check, I highly recommend Zee's Smog. I recently got my smog check done at Zee's Smog and I couldn't be happier with the service I received! From the moment I pulled up, Zeynel was friendly and welcoming. The process was quick and efficient, and Zeynel made sure I was comfortable waiting by offering water and snacks. The technician who performed my smog check was knowledgeable and thorough, taking the time to explain the process and answer any questions I had. I have been going to Zee's for several years now, we are a large car family and I won't go anywhere else! He may not be the $29.99 PASS OR FREE RETEST guy, but you get what you pay for. You're paying for quality, customer service and knowledge. He's very professional, friendly (almost feels like you're seeing an old friend). It's quick, If I spend more than 30 minutes there it's always because we're chatting. He takes the time to explain the process and the options. You're paying for quality. The shop can be kinda hard to find, you have to enter off of 16th St.....Ill be back in few weeks! read more

I have been going to Zee's Smog for 19 years and Zee's professional service, great location, clean facility the smog test goes fast. Zee is very nice, helpful. Zee's is a very cool person he get you in and out and on you way. I would highly recommend for everybody to get there automobile smog tested at Zee's smog Test only Station! Zee's smog Test only station is the number one smog station I have every been to. I never had such a great smog experience until I went to Zee's Smog Test only Station in Costa Mesa. I have been going to Zee's since 2000 and have never been let down. He is always friendly, professional and pleasant. He takes appointments and is ready for you at the appointed time. If your vehicle won't pass, he lets you know your options. I currently have four autos and a motorhome that he has tested. I no longer live in the southern California area, but always time visits so he can take care of my testing needs. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Give Zee a chance to become your smog testing guru. You won't be disappointed! read more

My son in law recommended Zee's and I was not disappointed. Zee greeted me with warmth and a smile. He was prepared with the paperwork that I needed to fill out and informed me that the test would take about 15 minutes, which it did. Happily, the car passed and Zee provided me with the necessary paperwork and explained what I would need to do to complete the process (I was late getting the car smogged). This was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend using Zee's when you need to get your car smogged. read more

My friend recommended me to visit Zee's store., boy am I glad I did.. Zee's is the best smog shop in Costa Mesa and vicinity.. Zee is very professional, and knowledgeable.. This is the place to take your vehicle when you need a smog check.. He was very timely, efficient and friendly.. Shop is clean and conveniently located on Placentia street.. I will definitely take my car to him anytime I may need service, and I do recommend everyone to see him before you go to any other repair shop in Southern Orange County. read more

The quickest and most pleasant experience I've had for a vehicle smog inspection. I called Zee's Smog at 8:30 am and Zee gave me a 9:30 am appt. Immediately upon arrival at 9:30 am, Zee had my 1995 Plymouth Voyager driven into the garage and tested. He gave my son a coca cola and me a bottle of water while we waited. We were out the door with a passed vehicle inspection in about 1/2 an hour. I would recommend Zee's Smog to anyone who wants quick, dependable, affordable service. read more

I had been driving from service station to service station, arriving right as they closed and as I pull up to Zee's Smog Test, we see that he is still open, he was waiting for another customer who had called in (he stayed open two hours later than he had intended to delaying his vacation to help a customer!) and he tested my car and another drive up customers while waiting for the man who had called in. He was very polite and helpful, I highly recommend Zee's Smog Test Station! read more
