I've had the pleasure of experiencing the work of both Alexa and Marina, each I would highly recommend! The minute you walk in they make you feel like you're their only client (which believe me you're not - they're constantly booked), you're offered wine or coffee while they take your coat and chat you up about your day and how you want to be styled. I tried Zena Rose for the first time last week and this will DEFINITELY be my new salon. I am super indecisive and Karina and Marina were so helpful, patient and knowledgeable in helping me decide what I should do with my hair. They took the time to explain what would suit me best. Marina did my hair and makeup before my wedding in August 2016... I feel like the absolute luckiest to have found her. I had trouble articulating what I wanted, and it felt like Marina went into my brain found the exact image I was struggling to describe, and then brought it to life even more beautifully than I could have imagined. I went to Estef wanting a haircut, blow dry, and makeup down for pictures. She ended up cutting way too much hair off and didn't use the picture I asked for at all. I don't even know where to begin in describing how wonderful my experience with Alexa was: she is a magician and an absolutely brilliant artist! I went to her after seeing some amazing reviews and images of her work, and I *for once* see the light at the end of the damaged hair tunnel, since she truly understands and gets hair, and wants her clients to have the best hair possible! I came to her with keratin-laden, over-processed, poorly cut (think jagged ends), and crappy caramel-balayaged hair (more ombré :x) with zero life. Through Opalex and am AMAZING color gloss that she expertly and intuitively picked out for me (my request since I'm bad with style!) she ROCKED my world. My hair still has a way to go for full recovery, but I have so much trust in her and I can't say enough how much I LOVE my color, new softened cut, and the plan ahead. So so so happy I found her. She is an utter rock star. Marina and Alexa are truly talented make-up artists and hair stylists. We used the salon for our wedding, and their work on that day was fantastic! They have a very refined, natural style to their make-up and hair and the styles wore well over the course of the day. The prices are also very reasonable! The only less-than-stellar part of my experience with this salon was communication with their secretary. When I booked my wedding (4-5 months pre-wedding), I was told my wedding date was available and paid a save-the-date check. After my trial I was told I would get a survey to fill out and then a final contract to confirm services. I filled out the survey within the deadline specified, and asked repeatedly via phone and email for them to send me the final contract but got no response. I finally got the contract just 1 week before my wedding and was told that they had booked a second wedding on my wedding date. As a result, they could only come very early in the morning (7:30 AM for an evening wedding) and my in-laws and family members had to re-schedule their travel plans. The quality of the make-up services was excellent, but the confusion with the scheduling and chasing them for the contract was frustrating. read more

Just like many of you, I had been franticly scouring the internet in hopes of a phenomenal salon. Not only did I find the most amazing salon, but I met the most welcoming staff. I did not realize how important it was to be greeted and welcomed from start to finish. Marina, the owner, is hands-down a miracle worker. Her artistry is truly exemplary! I went in to try the Brazilian blowout. I had done my research and cautiously was ready to try it. My hair is wavy-curly frizzy and disastrous. I flat iron it every day and it more than 60% humidity in the air, it goes unnoticed. My hair has given me so much insecurity and sadness. I was willing and desperate to try anything. And then......the blowout happened. Instantly, I saw the difference. My hair had never looked shinier and healthier. The best part is AFTER I left the salon and washed it. My hair air-dries as smooth and as silky as never before. Straightening it sleek only takes me 8 minutes now (it used to take me 40 min). I do not write reviews; I don't have the time.
