Spent a bit of time researching all the spa's from Lahaina to Kapalua and it easily became a "no-brainer" when I found Zensations. This place is in a little strip mall but after you get through the front door you'd never know it. My wife and I had the "Double Bliss Maui Zen" couples massage. I must say it was nothing short of "The most relaxing and therapeutic" massage that either of us had ever had, or at least in the top 3!!! Natasha and Michelle were our therapists and they both are highly skilled in the art of massage. I would recommend using them if your considering paying Zensations a visit!! You'll be glad you did. Zensations is located in a little strip mall in Kaanapali, and doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is gorgeous and very relaxing on the inside. The furnishings are beautiful and everything is so comfortable! I had a wonderful and very thorough facial as well as a massage. I can't remember my tech's name (sorry!) but she was super nice, and had a great manner - very calming and nurturing. Check their website for specials. My wife and I went here twice on our 13 day visit to Maui. As background, we get massages every few months in San Diego and I've been getting them regularly since as a multi-sport athlete for over 20 years. I believe I know a good massage. The first session we had, a couples massage, were pretty damn good. My wife and I agreed that they would have been about 4 stars - enough to come back for a second time. Especially given the cost vs. the resort spas - another reason for the high rating. We're glad we did! We both agreed that Eric and Emily gave us one of the best, if not the best massages we've ever had. It was an amazing experience. The pressure, "feel" of hands, energy transfer and knowledge were spot on. The one and a half hours we spent on the tables was absolutely amazing. You would be doing yourself a disservice in passing this nondescript storefront with a hidden gem in Maui. My beach skin was feeling dry and scaley so I booked a 30 min aromatherapy with oils. I was hesitant to walk into a strip mall massage salon but so glad I did. Very nice, clean and professional staff this equaled some of my favs in Silicon Valley. It's all about the quality of the massage, not the cucumber water, I believe. At home I get massages about twice a month. So we schedule massages here for the day after we went snorkeling for a few hours in the ocean. We knew we would need it. The experience was excellent! I had a 60 min. deep tissue massage. It wasn't the best massage I've ever had but it was pretty good. Nice staff and nice masseuse.

I also booked treatments for me and bf based on fellow yelpers so here I am paying it forward. :) Since I was in Hawaii, I went for the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. I called and spoke with Eric who was able to accommodate my last minute appointment request. We arrived a bit early, which is always advisable for spa appointments, and Eric greeted us warmly. The ambiance was not the most luxurious or modern compared to other spas I've been to but I loved the friendly island vibe. Bf and I were in the same room which was unexpected but great. I unfortunately do not remember the name of our two masseuses but I will go out on a limb and say everyone here is friendly and experienced. I loved the rhythmic Lomi Lomi and even bf who is sensitive about having his feet touched loved every rub. Overall this massage experience was perfect for us. If you are concerned with the exorbitant spa prices at the big resorts, you have noticed how laid-back-friendly the Hawaiian culture is, and you are determined to be relaxed, this is the place for you. This place was clean and the staff was super nice. We got the Lomi Lomi couple's massage and it was excellent. My hubby has only had a few massages in his life and he didn't really like them, but this time he said it was the best thing ever. He is willing to get more massages now. They hit all the right spots with all the right pressures. I love how they put hot towels on your feet in the beginning and after the massge is over. The price is great also. Found this place through Yelp so my BF and I decided to give it a shot since we didn't want to spend $$$$ at the hotel spas. I've been in plenty of spas so for this one being in a tiny strip mall, I was skeptical. My BF called them to make an appointment for a 90 minute Bliss couples massage we saw online. He said they were very helpful and we were able to get an appointment at the time we wanted, so that was super convenient. For a small place, I was surprised at that. When we walked in for the appt, we were greeted warmly and waited just a few minutes for them to prep the room. Once in there, it was the usual spa business of them telling us the types of lotions and oils they'd use and what to do (e.g., take off your clothes and we'll be right back). Being a bit larger chested, I asked for some rolled towels under my shoulders, which they accommodated for easily and were very helpful in placing. My masseuse also easily accommodated my preference for pressure and did a great job overall. The music was quite soothing. The only unfortunate part about this experience was that I ended up getting a slight rash (not itchy, just bumpy) from the oil they used on my body. The bumps only appeared on my shoulders and upper arms, oddly enough. Everything else seemed unaffected. Overall, they do a good job for the price and I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area that don't want to pay ridiculous spa prices. read more

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Maui recently and I was able to persuade him to do a spa day with me. We booed a package that included a 60 minute massage and 60 minute facial. Sacha gave us the most incredible massage of our lives. And Kelly gave me such a relaxing facial. We walked out of the spa feeling completed relaxed. Four of us recently visited Maui and three of us had treatments at Zensation during our stay. From the outside this place is modest but inside the treatment rooms are comfortable, well appointed and calming. The temperature is also nicely controlled. Compared to hotel spas the prices here are great, and all of us raved about our treatment providers. I had one of the best and most relaxing facials with Kelly - I highly recommend booking an 80 minute facial service with her. She did a wonderful job on my skin and was knowledgeable when I asked questions.
