We wanted to find a pub/bar style place to eat for lunch yesterday so we decided to go to Zeppelin's based on a recommendation by a co-worker. You walk in and it seriously looks like an old school bar and Soprano's-esque night club. Really cool. The host showed us our table and our waitress promptly came over and took our orders. We ordered the Zeppelin bites as an app and they were delicious. I ordered the Zeppelin burger with regular fries, (uploaded picture), and it was great. It was a tad greasy but what good burger isn't. It tasted great. The meat was cooked properly, it was seasoned a little bit, the ingredients were fresh. Pretty darn good. The fries are a bit larger than normal and were hot and crispy, just like I like them. The burger was $10.95. It might sound a tad steep, but it was worth it. I will definitely be coming back to Zeppelin's when I come to Cedar Rapids again. The prime rib sandwich looked really good. read more

Great service with great food! We went during their happy hour and it was buy one drink get the second free. They just bring you two of the drink you order, it's great! I had their Cobb salad and it was truly amazing. Cobb salads are pretty standard but their homemade dressing and toppings put this into an entire different category. We came in for Sunday Brunch for the first time. The menu was fairly limited for a Sunday brunch, but it had the classics on it. Also had real fast nachos, which were very delicious. I was unimpressed by the service because I asked for a spoon and never received it. I also asked to have my eggs cooked over medium, but the server just said the kitchen can't do that, didn't even go ask the cook, even though we were literally the only people in the restaurant at the time. Overall I was pleased with this place, except for one big thing that has always bugged me. This was the first time I visited thus establishment as I was in town visiting family, and when we showed up around 1:00pm the waitstaff was very friendly and very attentive. The bartender/server was very friendly and seemed to really like her job. The ONLY reason I gave this review three stars instead of four or five is due to what happened after we finished eating when I went to pay. Their appeared to be one if not two registers at the bar itself, yet despite these two registers appearing to be fully functional and operating, the server still took my card in the "back kitchen area" out of my sight. Given all of the financial scams and fraud that is being perpetuated recently due to employees losing wages from a reduction in hours because of this Pandemic, you should NEVER take a customer's credit card or personal information to the "back room" when their are two properly working registers in front of the bar. I'm not accusing this server of anything, as she was very friendly; but regardless, it made me very uncomfortable and I found myself questioning "why?" I would simply suggest next time, if you have to take the customers banking information to the back room instead of simply ringing it up in front of the customer, the server should explain why they had to do so. This was a delicious place to eat! My kids (grown) had yellow fin tuna sandwiches with sweet potato fries, with maple syrup on them. I had the same sandwich with parmesan fries. All three of us were absolutely delighted, with these fresh yummy sandwiches! The tomato's on them were so good, they tasted home grown!! My husband had the Reuben sandwich and fries. Carry out was somewhat Disappointing, but sometimes food just doesn't pack into little boxes and travel very well. Just went here for drinks, this time, before heading out for the evening. Was lucky enough it to make it to the two for one happy hour. (FYI, it ends at 6).
