I've also tried their iced chai and it is delicious--not too sweet and just the right amount of spices. My favorite, savory baked food is their spinach and feta danish. I highly recommend getting one with your coffee for a light breakfast. The baristas are so kind and welcoming, and they always remember my name because I go there so much haha. The shop itself is very cute, and their furniture is quaint and unique, and they always have fun, coffee-related knick-knacks for sale. Must-try spot in Festus! Also, you can order large, to-go drinks which I did on a Saturday because they're closed Sunday and Monday.

Enter Pine Mountain Country Coffee on Festus Main Street. This is a mini Cracker Barrel. If you look around, it will resemble Cracker Barrel. They have all the candies and the sweets and the baked items. It's adorable inside. Their coffee is strong, it's great, and you should be supporting Local businesses like this. The service is genuine and way faster than the chains. Do not make me go protest in the Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts parking lots. Don't do that to me.

When I worked down the street, I would often come for their cold brew coffee, fir an afternoon pick me up. They also serve some pretty amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches on New York bagels. Weekend hours are longer over the summer and early fall staying open until 10pm but as they hit October the hours shift to close by 9 o'clock on the weekends. They have cute ice cream cone seating tables as well as an old time soda bar. Definitely our families go-to ice cream splurge. The attractive cafe area is warm and bright; a great place to spend an afternoon with a friend or a good book. The two sisters who were at the counter were incredibly sweet and engaging. They shared that the location has been open for a month and that all of the baked goods were created by one of their husbands, who learned his craft from his two grandmothers who raised him. And he learned well! All of the samples the ladies shared were flat-out DELICIOUS and quickly led to a few unplanned purchases . We started with a slice of the moist apple cake, then we tried and ordered the strawberry cream bar (not 100% sure if that's the right name), followed quickly by the old fashioned donut bunt cake. All three were absolutely stellar! We topped it off with iced coffees which were much better than your usual corner cup of joe; fresh and smooth with no twinge of bitterness. Our only regret was not discovering this place sooner, as we found it on the last day of our trip from Seattle. If there's any justice in this world, the Daily Drip will become a neighborhood institution and will still be around the next time we visit STL.
