What a cute spot in Waterloo! I was looking for a good stop for lunch and I'm glad I did. You can enter from the front or the side door, which is disabled accessible. The service was friendly and my order was accurate. The restaurant was very clean and they had several gender neutral bathrooms. They have an outdoor deck in the sun or you can choose the main dining area indoors with couches, table and chairs or half booth bench seating. It is inviting to stay awhile. There is a decent selection of coffee drinks and they have a fridge full of canned soda, water, etc. They have gluten-free products and some grab-and-go items. They also have salads, sandwiches and soups. My Santorini salad was very fresh with Kalamata olives and a honey dressing. Get extra dressing on the side because you will want more. This was a cute little coffee shop in Waterloo, IL recommended by a fellow foodie. I am not a coffee drinker so it was nice to see they had some non-espresso based drinks like matcha, chai tea, etc. they also had a nice selection of pastry items although the muffin I had was not all that great. It seem a little old, it was dry and not very flavorful, so skip the muffins. It was a nice place to sit and work, relax or enjoy nice conversation with a friend. They do have some lunch options, but I only attended here for a quick meeting. The staff was pleasant and friendly and the space was open, spacious and neat and clean. I would definitely go back if I was in the area, but I would skip the muffins. read more

Stopped into Salt & Honey for a quick lunch. Sandwiches & soup for the cold day win! The chick, chicken salad on croissant was good. I like my chickie salad a little more creamy, but the flavors were good. Chicken noodle soup was good, I'd be interested to know if it's homemade. The other sandwich was "the stinger". Roast beef, provolone, banana peppers & horse radish sauce. He said it was pretty good. Said he would've liked a little more meat. You know growing boys and all. we rented space there for my daughters baby shower last Sunday, and I have to say the place is simply charming! it was a perfect spot and we were so excited to have it there. everything was great until it came to our last hour and someone , not Melissa as she was the one that checked us out, came and yelled at us in front of everyone that if we didn't get out she would charge us another hour! we were still in our time frame so that was upsetting however the unprofessional behavior from her was so embarrassing! she upset my pregnant daughter by being so rude! all the while she had her child there sitting at one of the tables as we were cleaning up! she ruined the experience for us and as I am in the hospitality business I can say without a doubt that lady should not be in it! will not be coming back for even a coffee because of her! again Melissa was sweet and apologized for her but to no avail the day was tarnished. if you want good reviews get that chick out of there! awful! read more

Had the worst experience here while dining in for breakfast. Server at the register entered my order wrong so I was told to go back to the register and reorder. After waiting in the extremely long line I was encouraged not to order because they said they already had too many drink orders. My food order was also never brought to me even after asking about it twice and I only got it after going back up to the register again. Overall, I wouldn't recommend. read more
