So many things went wrong. I was quoted $750 over the phone for carpet and stone cleaning and had to pay $1950! I knew the first quote was just a guess, but it was WAY off. Although my travertine floors looked better after cleaning, they weren't as nice as they were after a stone company cleaned them several years ago. For less money, the stone company also polished the floors. Worst of all, the carpet wasn't clean in places and smelled like a wet stray dog. I called and told them and they came back the next day and did it again -- another day of barking dogs and inconvenience. Worst of all, the carpet still smelled. This is my bedroom and office. . The carpet is Mohawk SmartStrand, guaranteed forever against pet urine odor and stains. It has been cleaned 4 or 5 times by other companies and never smelled before. I called the seller of this wonderful carpet and they said this can happen when too much water is left in the carpet after cleaning. Sadly, after Zerorez came back to work on it again (which they did within a few hours) the carpet was even wetter than before. My housekeeper worked on it with a little Oxyclean and extracted the excess water with our small carpet cleaning machine and turned fans on it for three days. It's okay now, but what an inconvenience. I also had trouble with the furniture being replaced, but that paled by comparison. I will never use this company again and will never recommend it. read more

I was impressed with the service guys they were friendly yet professional. I had not cleaned my carpet in 6 or 7 years and we take our shoes off but still...it was quick and when it dried the carpet was very soft not hard and crunchy like other cleaners. Our rental house has old carpet that was cleaned prior to moving in. We had zerorez come in about 6 weeks ago to clean the carpets which were very dirty from our two dogs. Making the reservation was simple and the operator gave us a four hour window. I learned that the three room deal that I wished to use counts a room as 10'x10' so she adjusted the cost upward on the phone. They called about 15 minutes prior to arrival and the two men were very nice and efficient. They set up corner protectors for the walls, used shoe covers and both worked in different rooms which they finished quickly. It dried quickly in the heat too. The spots have stayed gone, even some major spots that came back after the other company cleaned them. The employees were not shady at all and I did not have any worries about having them in the house. I will use them again. read more

The boys showed up on time to clean my leather sectional. They did a deceint job on the leather but when I asked them about the soda stain, below the arm rest, on the material portion, they took a hand tool to clean it. It left a white residue and now it is obvious that the rest of the material below the cushions and back of the cushions needs to be cleaned. I e-mailed TWICE to set an appointment to complete the job. No one responded. I will call AGAIN today. They work on commission, so i'm sure no one is excited to come back. I also asked for a quote to clean my tile. They came up with $1600 while another reputable, familiar, cleaning business quoted me $865. Which also included one carpeted bedroom. Cannot express the Amazing job Jose did for us today. Our puppy had several accidents over the last 24 hrs. (Runs-vomiting) Poor Jose arrived to a complete disaster. Told us he might not be able to get the stains up, but he would make sure all the bacterial and smells were gone. Needless to say, ALL the Stains are GONE. We have Zerorez come out once a year to steam clean our kitchen and bathroom flooring. No amount of elbow grease on your own can yield the results that these guys can give you in just an hour or two. The grout looks brand new which is not easy to get clean with light colored tile. Not only are the techs quick and knowledgeable, they are extremely professional and mindful of being super clean while they work. We have also had them clean an upholstered chair and our bedroom carpeting. I don't think there is anything these guys can't clean. Their rates are also very reasonable. If you are tired of spending your weekend hours on this sort of thing, give yourself a break and hire these guys, then enjoy the rest of your weekend. They are truly worth it. read more

We had zero Rez come in to clean up after my carpet was in bad shape from puppy potty training. We moved an area rug so all the carpet can be cleaned. Just finished listening to a call from a zerorez rep regarding my decision to respond to their request for feedback. I challenged the pricing a bit, but that really wasn't the issue. The real issue was all of their rules. It starts with an email that is sent after making an appointment...written by an attorney protecting them. They cannot move any furniture, cannot clean walk-in closets without charging extra, etc. They called and hour and a half early, I agreed, then were finished in 30 minutes. That's 30 minutes for a master BR, a hallway and stairs. How good can that be? Their f/u call was a long VM restating all their rules, price justification without addressing the early call plus time on the job. This company is not in the people business, they are obviously in the rug-cleaning business where money is paramount. So, for me, that's fine, just as it is my decision not to use them ever again. I am a property management company and build relationships with companies and contractors. BE WARNED, these people are not honest with their quotes. We rec'd a quote for $220 which was already $70 more then we have every paid with any other carpet cleaners but we needed it done sooner then our regular guy could do so we decided to have them clean. Half way into the job they told my friend who was here (I was not able to be home for their 4-hour window of when they would come) that it was going to be $357.50 -- more than 50% more then their quote! I found out later, that they categorized my home as a "commercial job" since I'm a company (I work from home). I have never heard of such dishonesty and deception. I called to speak to the person who we booked it with and she had no interest in changing it to do the right thing. We cancelled the two upcoming jobs we had scheduled to have other homes cleaned. I use Zerorez every 18 months for my carpet. I had my carpet and upholstery cleaned 2 weeks ago and, as usual, they did an outstanding job. I had a few spots from my errant cat, and the technician was able to make it look and smell like new. I've never had my upholstery cleaned before. Now I wonder why I waited so long. Just had my tile cleaned and sealed by Zerorez. I had originally called them to get an estimate, but they said they could do it over the phone. I told them the rooms that I wanted done and told them that one of the bathrooms was oversized. She gave me a quote that sounded reasonable. I then received an email with a lot of legal jargon saying how they can't be held to the estimate until they come out and measure, which was what I wanted them to do in the first place. I knew I was in trouble...I agreed to an appointment timeframe between 2-6. Someone called me the day before and wanted to change it to earlier in the day. I told them that I work in the mornings, so I was only available in the afternoon. Then this morning, another guy called and asked if he could come earlier today. Again, I said no. They showed up about 20 minutes early which was no biggie, but then he proceeds to tell me that his 2 earlier jobs got done by 10:30, so he had to wait on ME all day. What?? The tile looks much better, but the end price was MUCH higher than the quote and this guy kept pointing out every little scratch or mark on my tile. He also commented on a spot on my carpet and asked if I had dogs. Overall, this experience didn't leave me wowed at all. Won't be using them again. And I tried to stay with a local company, but it didn't work out so well. read more

Avoid!! Made appointment to have one bedroom steam cleaned and sanitized. Was quoted $59. Also inquired about steam clean of 4x4 bathroom marble tile floor. She said tech would quote me on that when he arrived. That morning I was not at home and the techs quoted my husband a minimum of $700 and maximum of $1000! Mind you we have no pets, no stains and this is in an occasionally used guest bedroom. When my husband called me I asked him to cancel them. Unknown to me, they told him there would be a $50 service call for doing nothing. My husband decided to let them clean the bedroom. They charged him more than the quoted price with and extra $10 tacked on for "other". They left carpet very wet. 36 hrs later in still had areas that were very wet. The carpet was in excellent condition before. Now it feels stiff. The bill had no identification on it besides "We Clean Carpets". When I called my bank it was billed to "Precision Carpet". !!?? After receiving a promotional ad, we contacted Zerorez and gave them the description and accurate square footage of our home, told them that it was 50% carpet, 50% tile, received an estimate for cleaning both the carpet and the tile and made an appointment, with a service time from 12-5. We spent numerous hours moving most of our furniture outside and vacuuming the whole house in preparation. On the day of our appointment, the technician called at 10 and said he would be there in a half hour. When he arrived at 10:30, he said he had another appointment at 12. After he measured our house, he said it would cost $200 over the estimate! When we questioned why it was so much higher than what we were previously told, we were told by his supervisor that the first was "just an estimate". Since we had done so much work to prepare our house to be cleaned, we agreed to the price, but the technician refused to clean our home and left! read more

Took two messages to get scheduled (this should have been a warning sign). When they showed up they were nice and courteous but felt like they rushed through the job. Carpets were reasonably cleaner from dirt and grime but didn't remove a few stains that were in them. It has been little over a month and am noticing the dirt returning just as it has when cleaned by other services. I would Give Zerorez no stars if that were an option, but it's not. I scheduled a cleaning for 2 bedrooms. They had a special, 2 rooms for $89. When I booked on line, they added a $20 water fee. I still moved forward and made the appointment. My time window was 2pm-4pm to have a technician arrive. They came at 1:30. I wasn't home yet but my husband was. When the Zerorez tech was assessing our carpet my husband told him that we have a small chihuahua that had a SMALL accident on the carpet. Mind you, I already cleaned it up and there was no spot. The technician told my husband because of that he would need to treat the entire bed room with a special chemical and it would cost $120 more. When my husband refused he tried to bargain and get $75 more. My husband still said no. We just wanted the regular cleaning. The Zerorez tech refused to do the service unless we paid more. My husband refused to pay more and told the tech to leave and we did not get our carpets cleaned. FYI, our carpets are only a year old and our 8lb dog had a 2oz accident. I don't think that warrants a bate and switch and upsell on the price.My husband told me what happened so I called the Zerorez office within 20 minutes from the time the tech left and complained that I just wanted the regular service like I ordered because I had already moved all of my furniture to get the cleaning. By the time the manager called me back it was 2:15 and she said all of the technicians had gone home for the day and could not clean my carpets until the next day. Strange at 2:15 all of the techs were done for the day given my appointment was 2-4. This company has horrible Customer Service and cheats customers by doing bad business with bate and switch. They advertise specials but will try to force you to pay more. Do not use them! read more

Bummer that there were people with negative experiences with these guys because we love them. I have two boys and my hubby is a mechanic, so our carpets always get filthy and somehow they always get them clean. They are pretty pricey. That is why we used a different cleaning company a few years back, but the spots came up again while after Zero Rez they didn't. I would totally recommend Zerorez. My carpet is 10 years old and they are the only company I have used and my carpets still look great. Other carpet cleaners leave a residue that attracts dirt. I have never gone online and written a review before in my life but I feel compelled to write one now. My wife and I have used ZeroRez for years...never a complaint. We recently had our carpets done again and again a good job. The problem is they left oil stains on the pavers all through our HOA common driveway not just in front of our unit. When we called they were very concerned and sent someone out to clean some spots. First of all it is very hard to clean oil spots from pavers. This first attempt was unsuccessful. They kept their promise and sent out another person to try again. We had asked they call us first so we could show where ALL the spots were at...no call. This immature kid shows up with attitude from the start and it goes downhill from there. As a retired business owner I would not hire this kid to clean my toilets much less have him represent my company to the public. To the point... Zero has always done good work over the years but I will never allow them on HOA property again. Yes the HOA owns ALL the driveways. In their defense the biggest problem I had as a business owner was a few bad employees. read more

I'm writing this review for my 82 year old Mother who had her carpets cleaned and her wallet cleaned out by this company. She lives in a small single wide mobile home which she keeps super clean. She gets her carpets cleaned every 6 months because she is a clean freak. Her carpets are maybe 4 years old. She decided to try Zerorez out because of a coupon for 3 rooms for $119 plus a free hallway. She added her small walk in closet for $25. I guess there is an additional water fee of $14 which would make it $158 total. Which is a fair price. She has 2 small dogs and had a small stain near her bed which she didn't think was caused by the dog but after the guy got down on his hands and knees to smell her carpet and told her it smelled like pee she agrees to get it cleaned. Evidently the guy used 4 gallons of stuff to extract the pee from her pad (maybe 2 foot area?). Each gallon was $70!! For a total of $280 to clean this small section by the foot of her bed. Then he does a Bio treatment for the 3 large areas (living room, office and hallway) for $70. My Mom was so embarrassed to tell me she had to pay out $508 to this company. Total up sell or bait n switch. Needless to say, she won't be calling them back! If you have elderly parents don't let them use this company so they don't get taken advantage of by the cleaning guy. read more
