We love going here! It has been around for quite some time now. The custard is delicious and I love I their malts! The employees are great and quick to serve. It is a nice area near the water and just has a great community feel. We heard they are not going to renew their lease and are closing their doors here for good. The ice cream was very good and pretty good portions for the price. The only thing is the enormous cookie dough ball at the bottom of my mixer that took up half the cup. Very disappointing, probably 40 cookie dough bites stuck together just sitting at the bottom. read more

A summer custard place that serves three flavors (vanilla, chocolate and a Flav O the day), with or without whatever toppings you want It's good. It's real custard. Very creamy. But not that much different than Culver's. Perhaps slightly richer. Nice kids working there. read more

If you're a frozen custard or ice cream fan you've gotta check this place out! They have daily rotating custard so make sure to check their custard forecast to see what the special is! I got the oreo and brownie fudge and it was amazing. Great oreo and fudge bits. The custard is smooth and perfect. I usually only get one scoop, but this was so good I needed two! I recommend grabbing some and walking over to the river to enjoy it! read more

I'd give this place 3.5 stars if I could. Definitely the best custard in the area. I've been coming here since I was a kid and prices have continued to rise and portions have continued to get smaller. They've had the same 35 or so flavors forever...once in a while they throw a new one in there, but I'd love to see just a little bit more creativity. The amount of toppings in the flavor of the day is hit or miss. Wish there would be just a little more consistency. Service is pretty good. This place is good, but with just a little effort it could be great! I think they should have 2 flavors a day instead of one. read more

Vanilla Custard is 10/10, no room at all for improvement. There is really nothing left to say.

There are still a few summers only businesses around. They bring nostalgia with them every summer. Fresh custard is a great draw on a nice summer day. A sign in the window said they make it fresh every three hours. I had the flavor of the day in a shake. It was Seroogys Peanut Butter Meltaway Swirl. It had a nice smooth, almost melt in your mouth, texture about it. Very tasty! Thanks to other customers to help, the building has a step right at the order window and pick up window. Something they should consider removing to allow people not to trip or, for others, a barrier to even get to the window. Others helped hand my cash to the window and then pass me the shake afterward. From here, they have a nice umbrella you could sit under or could walk down to the Fox River Trail or the boat dock and piers. Can't believe this is my first time here. But, may return or try their other locations. Bring on the creative custard flavors! read more

So good. So, so, so good! My husband and I came here this summer just before they closed for the season. It was our first time and we (mistakenly) each got a banana split. Holy mackerel one banana split can feed 3-4 people. Not kidding. It was delicious. We opted for one with all hot fudge rather than 3 different toppings. The custard was definitely the star of the show. So creamy. The bananas were fresh and not overly ripe. It was just a solid banana split, for sure. Deducting one star because the employees were less than friendly. They definitely weren't rude but we didn't even get a hello when we got to the window, just a person standing there waiting for us to order. It was our first time there and we had a couple questions and the girl taking our order was getting annoyed with us, I could tell. I get it: you're busy, you've got a line in front of you and you want to move it along as quickly as possible. Totally understandable. That said, a greeting is always nice and answering questions is sort of obligatory, right? Maybe she was just having a bad day? We got our splits quickly and ate what we could (most of them came home with us). We'll be back next season! read more

As of today we have given up on Zesty's. We've noticed for the past few years that mostly what you get is plain custard with very little additions to make it the flavor of the day. Today was the same. What's happened to the old Zesty's? Training issue? Cost cutting? Whatever, from now on we'll go to Culvers - much better! read more

Not a typical experience at Zesty's but very disappointed with my order at the DePere location tonight as well as poor customer service. I ordered a Salted Carmel Swirl with chocolate ice cream. My expectation was that I would have a blend of chocolate and carmel flavors including the saltiness of the pretzels. After several bites, it was clear that the only Carmel in the scramble were the 2 thin lines of Carmel I could see about 1/2 down my container. I went back to the counter and explained to the young lady that I could not taste Carmel or see Carmel in my scramble except for the two thin lines half way down my container. This young lady explained to me that "it's a swirl". End of discussion. The window was closed. She moved on to her next order. I was left standing in disbelief with a $7.59 scramble that was basically chocolate ice cream and pretzels. I finished my scramble and can confirm that there was absolutely no Carmel to be tasted in the "Salted Carmel Swirl" scramble. Perhaps you could offer a footnote in your description that the Carmel is for decoration only and you should not expect to actually taste Carmel in your scramble. As for customer service, for the price of one of your ice cream treats, I expect to get what I pay for especially after pointing out the deficiency. I know help is hard to find and I'm fully aware that Zesty's has a thriving business. But I'm also old enough to remember standing in long lines at Hansen's ice cream for a delicious treat. As a long time Zesty's customer, I had come to expect lots of toppings on the flavor of the day. I've been very disappointed the past year or two. Something has definitely changed, and it's not for the better. Zesty's used to add lots of toppings as the online photos suggest, but in reality, there are very little toppings now. I got a quart last month that had less toppings than on a single scoop, and the rest was plain chocolate. It saddens me to say that I may never go back. read more

How can you go wrong with a custard stand you would have seen back in the 1950's? It also helps their custard is delicious. The turtle custard sundae which I had was great. Unlike other custard places, the turtle sundae had this sweet salty thing going on... Perfect savory and sweet mix. This place is also great for those making it a day on the fox river trail because you can pop by for a treat while out for the day. For less than $3 you can get yourself the best custard cone this reviewer ever had! The flavor was rich, and the mix-ins were plentiful. Zesty's has limited outdoor seating, and many delicious ice cream options. I recommend watching their Facebook page (or the giant sign outside their building) for the flavor of the day, and then using it in a sundae or cone. Previous flavors are available on a limited basis by the quart. read more

I have been coming to this location in the summer for a really long time. I love that you can bike here since it is right off the bike path. With the option of a drive thru or walk up window if you arrive by car as well. Their turtle sundae is my favorite in town. The custard is rich and pairs well with the salty nuts/chocolate and caramel. Topped with a cherry it looks like perfection. They also offer many types of shakes the blueberry is super yummy. Always featured is the flavor of the day too that you can get only on that day. I would recommend you stop in during the summer as they are closed during other seasons. read more

This places serves by far the beat frozen treats in the greater Green Bay/De Pere area (including all ice cream, frozen yogurt, and frozen custard places.) It's a little pricier but that is because the quality of the custard is much greater. I recommend anything of theirs with peanut butter or cookie dough. (Honestly, it's better together.) read more

Plenty of fun flavors for a fairly reasonable price. This is a great stop during the summertime as it's an outdoor ice cream stand and there is a drive-thru. There is another location that's inside and has food. Get your self their monthly forecast calendar card as it has the flavor of the day for each day of that month. The last time I was here I got myself a simple chocolate ice cream cone and it was instantly melting from the crazy hot weather. Zesty is one of the most popular places to hang out with my friends during warm seasons. The custards here are good with a very generous portion for a good price. I like their warm chocolate brownies fudge, I mostly choose to try the Flavor of the Day for some amazing surprises. If I get a cone, I will ask for another cup to help my messy self. read more

Awesome custard! That is what to go for as this is a custard establishment. They do have hot food too. But i suggest a trip for custard!
